WR Nico Collins, HOU (1 Viewer)

Quiet in here.

Feel like he's undervalued. True X in a high powered offense.

Would rather have him in the 3rd vs. pretty much every WR in the second round.
Got him in the 3rd round of my draft today
I’ll be psyched if I can pull that in my redrafts.

Was this an NFFC? I have one coming up this week.
Yes NFFC I got him actually the last 2 days in a row yesterday I got him at pick 28 and today at pick 31

Edit these were both cutline drafts so pick 31 was actually my 4th round pick I got him at the 3/4 turn. I also got Jefferson at pick 10. The hate is real with this one.

Nice. I have a Roto world championship league drafting this week. This really helps me set my draft position preference.

I’ve been prioritizing later and later because of guys like AJ, Jefferson, Berkeley, JT, and Nico.

Appreciate the info. Definitely jives with what I’ve seen in their ADP

Look…. Nico Collins has some Andre Johnson in him. Size, strength, demeanor and toughness.

Few things hit better in the NFL right now than Nico Collins on in-breaking routes

Sam Monson
Nico Collins was one of the best receivers in the NFL last season.

He looks even better this year

Jacob Gibbs
Just two games... but so far, the per-route rates are even better for Nico Collins in Year 4

Will be honest, picking at 3, when my second pick came around and all the "shiny name" receivers had disappeared, it didn't feel great taking this guy as my 1. Had a hard time picking either him or Nacua. 3 weeks on, couldn't be happier with the choice. Early days but he's been miles better than most of the shiny names like Chase, Hill etc

BEAST

I think we can put to bed who the alpha is in Houston, folks.

Yep. I thought Dell was going to see a lot of the deep balls but Nico has been doing just about everything this season. What a stud.

I think Dell will still be the "deep shot" guy, but it was clear last night that Collins is WR1 and the one Stroud looks for when things break down.

This will be fantasy's top WR in 2024. Congrats to those that got him. He'll be a 1st rounder in re-draft 2025.

Still having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact he's one of the top wideouts in the game.

I must have added and dropped this guy at least a half dozen times. After awhile, I just started phasing him out completely.

Normally I'm on the right side of these things, but what I saw last night this guy can do a little bit of everything. He's out there bullying people. Crazy fast for a dude his size, I swear he wasn't always that fast and polished.

He's like a completely different player out there.

What? You must be in a 1-team league because he was quite awesome in 2023 as well (1300 yds - 8 TDs). Only question IMO for 2024 was how much the addition of Diggs would eat into that.

Might be referring to his first two years when the Texans were in total teardown / rebuild mode

Yeah. That's the way I read it. A lot of us were high on Nico as a prospect coming out of college but he was very raw and needed a lot of work so it was frustrating holding on to him during the first couple of years especially with their terrible QB play. You could see the potential but it wasn't clear that he would ever come close to reaching his potential.

It's almost like young guys can still develop after college and aren't the finished product at 22/23 ? ;)
Don't bring this nonsense to the Caleb Williams thread.

And Nico was never a shiny thing for anyone to talk about.

He was a sleeper in college, not a lot of people were on Team Nico . There were too many other WR to get excited about that year. He goes to a team that no one was excited about, then when they get a QB, they add a guy in Dell people DID love talking about.

He never had the huge game on TV, and he just kind of slipped between the cracks. People knew he was developing, but if you don't get a screaming orgasm from the ESPN Get Up crew, you are under the radar.

Never ever like mid week hammy’s
When do you like your hammy's?
Women from the 60s were very voluptuous, especially the hammy’s. Much skinnier in the 70s. Today, they simply spend too much time at McDonalds.
Old laugh emoji
:lmao: :lmao:
Actually I had to correct my post. The women in the mid-to-late 60s started the skinny trend that went through the 70s too. Those curvy woman from the 50s and before had beefy hammy's in a good way. The women of today just have beefy hammy's.

Would Andre Johnson be a good comp? Seems like they share being big physical receivers with excellent hands that mayyyybe don't quite score as man tds as they perhaps could?
