I just benched Jordan Addison(my WR4) for Bateman for what it’s worth. I also have Flowers but I’m going to roll with Rashod.Already felt irrationally confident starting Bateman in Week 1, and that was before the Andrews news dropped:
I think I’m starting him a a league I’m thin at WR. It could have been worse - I left Toney on my bench. No Andrews should be big for Bateman
Rashod Bateman caught 3-of-3 targets for 35 yards in the Ravens’ Week 1 win over the Texans.
Bateman saw the same number of targets as Odell Beckham Jr., while Zay Flowers surprised with 10 targets on the afternoon. The good news is Bateman caught every pass that came his way, which included an 18-yard reception to help setup a touchdown on the opening drive of the third quarter. In a game that didn’t feature Mark Andrews, Bateman’s low target volume isn’t particularly encouraging. He could be difficult to trust as anything more than a deep flex play in Week 2 against the Bengals.

Rashod Bateman played well behind Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. in the Ravens’ Week 1 win over the Texans.
Bateman’s 25 snaps were just one more than Nelson Ahgolor’s 24. He appeared on just 39.1 percent of the Ravens’ offensive snaps on the day, while Flowers and OBJ combined to miss just 15 of the team’s 64 snaps on the afternoon. How the return of Mark Andrews impacts future snap shares is to be determined, but Bateman’s light workload makes him difficult to trust in Week 2 against the Bengals.
Agree. Ir sucks. So much talent. Feel like he cheesed off ownership/coaching when he came out with that presser. He’s now being treated as WR4 on the Ravens and that’s not including Mark Andrews. Fully convinced he’ll need a change of scenery to rehab his value at this point.

Full on doghouse.
Apparently he may have injured his hamstring, putting his status for Week 4 in question.Agree. Ir sucks. So much talent. WR Rashod Bateman was laboring toward end of game and walked with pronounced limp back to locker room. He said his hamstring tightened up on him, but he felt like it wasn't anything serious.
Between Bateman and Edwards (concussion), Ravens will have more injury concerns this wk.
It sucks. As in, the situation. He hurt his hammy. And before that even with OBJ out they barely used him.Who sucks? What presser?

Yep. A trade would be ideal. He's not an UFA until 2026, so best case scenario for those who have him on their dynasty teams is a trade or being cut.
I agree. One of the worst things about dynasty leagues is being in the position of wishing for a trade. Not like 10 team leagues where everyone has studs at every position and you couldn't care less about guys like Bateman. Only problem you have each week is which stud do I bench.Yep. A trade would be ideal. He's not an UFA until 2026, so best case scenario for those who have him on their dynasty teams is a trade or being cut.
And the good news is that just about every team would be an upgrade passing-wise.
If they don’t pick up his option it would be the best thing for shareholders. At the rate it’s going he’s not going to get his 5th year option picked up next offseason, which would put him as a 2025 UFA. Feels like another sunk cost in dynasty. I still believe in the talent, the opportunity just isn’t there. Another example that situation matters as much as talent.
Rashod Bateman (hamstring) did not practice Thursday.
Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) have missed both practices the open the week, potentially leaving the Ravens thin at receiver for Week 4. They have one practice to go on Friday, so we’ll see if things change then, but it’s possible the Ravens will be banking on Zay Flowers, Devin Duvernay, and Nelson Agholor as their top three receivers in Week 4.
When Nelson Agholor beats you out of your job, such questions get asked.Just asking, are there any questions regarding his work ethic?
Ravens removed Rashod Bateman (hamstring) from the team’s Week 5 injury report against the Steelers.
The Ravens appear set to have Bateman and Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle) back for Week 5. Beckham has been listed by the team as questionable, but said he expects to play after logging limited practices throughout the week. Bateman being active is great for the Ravens, but probably matters little for fantasy managers. He’s managed just seven receptions for 59 yards on the season and is the third target option at best in the offense.
Jonas Shaffer
Lamar Jackson on his work with Rashod Bateman, who’s had a slow start this season: “We always have chemistry in practice. We just have to transition it into the game.”
Jackson said there was a miscommunication on his INT on Sunday, and that contact on Bateman didn’t help.
I dropped him and put him on my watch list. He just doesn’t look like the same guy that he was prior to the Lisfranc foot surgery last year. I can’t find the graph but there was something showing that Bateman was last between him, Andrews, Flowers, Agholor, and OBJ in average yards of separation. He’s getting only a small piece of a very small pie (3 targets per game on a team that averages 29 pass attempts per game with four guys ahead of him). His confidence is shot and he’s resorting to liking tweets from people defending his poor play (when he’s not deactivating his account and avoiding the media after the game). Seems mentally soft. Plenty to like about his college profile but he’s looking more and more like another N’Keal Harry at this point. It’s just always something. I want to believe, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen for him. Definitely not as a Raven.losing faith, but cant drop in deep dyno.
Rapidly approaching the Terrace Marshall zone.losing faith, but cant drop in deep dyno.
The only thing separating them is Bateman has put more positive game tape thus far. Otherwise they're in the same boat: durability concerns, already replaced on the depth chart, needing fresh start elsewhere for any chance to rehab their value. That's a solid comparison.Rapidly approaching the Terrace Marshall zone.losing faith, but cant drop in deep dyno.
becominga roster clogger for sure. I can't trade or drop him in a dynasty and feel good about it. stuck.![]()
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Rashod Bateman “should be fine” after leaving practice with an apparent foot injury.
Harbaugh added, “We’ll see how he does tomorrow.” It sounds like he has a good chance of returning for at least a limited practice on Thursday, but we will need to wait and see. Bateman has been slowly working his way toward a larger role in the Baltimore offense and a foot injury could derail the progress he has made. The former first-round pick is worth an add in deeper fantasy leagues, though a missed practice or a questionable tag at the end of the week would put him back on the waiver wire in most leagues.

I’m actually starting him in one league. Higgins absence leads to desperate measures. Hoping with Andrews out he might have a bump in targets.Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Rashod Bateman “should be fine” after leaving practice with an apparent foot injury.

Sounds like he’ll be okay for Sunday night.
Yeah I really don't want to drop him (dynasty, 8 lineup, 12 bench), but I look at rankings too frequently and keep seeing him wayyyyy dowwwwn therrrre and really start to think about it.He’s still very young, so I don’t see him as a drop. The only thing separating them is Bateman has put more positive game tape thus far. Shallow bench leagues he’s tricky though, I agree.
Expert rankings tend to be reactive rather than proactive. Usually by the time the rankings adjust the secret is already out on a player. Bateman’s numbers haven’t justified him being ranked too high. Thing is he’s been showing signs of life, he’s been playing ahead of Agholor and now seeing more snaps than OBJ. With the Andrews injury there is opportunity to be more depended on. Sometimes you just want to make sure you’re ahead of the curve, because if he has a 100/1 game it’ll be too late.Yeah I really don't want to drop him (dynasty, 8 lineup, 12 bench), but I look at rankings too frequently and keep seeing him wayyyyy dowwwwn therrrre and really start to think about it.He’s still very young, so I don’t see him as a drop. The only thing separating them is Bateman has put more positive game tape thus far. If he’s still not heavily involved in the offense after this then I hope he forces the issue in the offseason and gets traded to another organization. It was already a bad fit going to a team that historically doesn’t feature the WR that much. Bateman is a prototypical X receiver and just needs to stay healthy and get targets, he’ll handle the rest. He just looks the part.Andrews is out, this is pretty much his last chance to show someting
