WR Romeo Doubs, GB (1 Viewer)

Don’t have any shares. He’s available in my league and not sure I want any shares. I believe Reed, Wicks, and Watson are better. However, he has never exhibited any DIVA behaviors in the past. Let’s be real he has not earned the right for that sort of behavior. I hope he is going to be ok.

More to the story?

The tweet doesn't address it but I have read elsewhere he suffers from anxiety issues
There is zero substance in that tweet or it's replies.
Just as much "substance" in that tweet than any posts in this thread. I'll take the lack of substance from a former Green Bay QB over the lack of substance of most posts on this board.
that is fair - I was going to ask who the author was but a former GB player does in fact carry some weight so thanks for clarifying.

Could be a good buy low. The incident of last week seems like a non-issue. I don't think much has changed since pre-season analysis - he's still going to have an important role in MLF's offense. With Watson likely out for another week or two, the other guys are a week to week crap shoot. Doubs will have big weeks, as will Reed and Watson when he's back, but so might Wicks, Kraft, Melton on any given day.

Does he do enough to warrant a buy low? Maybe, if it's a really low buy low. What is your interpretation of a buy low for Doubs?

My guess is there's a good chance he's not going to get any lower than he is today. Of course, things could always go in the other direction, as is the case with all these guys.

FA Pick up

Any dynasty value uptick? I have a few shares and wouldn't mind dumping him to get out of some of this GB passing guessing game. Feel like he's not worth selling for a 3, but no one is gonna pay a 2.

The TD pass to Romeo Doubs was the first touchdown Devon Witherspoon allowed all year as the nearest defender in coverage, per the NFL's Next-Gen Stats. Took a special catch from Doubs to make it happen.

@32BeatWriters
“Doubs has always been viewed as a steady piece in Green Bay’s offensive puzzle, but his production in camp so far suggests more than just steadiness. He’s making contested catches in traffic, running sharper routes, and even helping coach up the rookies. During a 2-minute drill on Tuesday, he caught a sideline first down and the game-winning 2-point conversion from Jordan Love. His connection with Love continues to be one of the most reliable parts of the offense.”

Anything to see here or better taking a shot at Q Johnson or one of the Carolina secondary receivers?

GB seems to have so many receivers, can he carve out a relevant role?

I think he could have a biggish early season role. Reed is still banged up, the rookie Golden seems to be the one to own. But as red zone targets go and 3rd down chain moving targets go, I think Doubs and Kraft are the main guys and can make both useful for fantasy.

But if it's just an early season thing then I'd hate to be relying on him early in the season. I have very few shares and only in best ball. I actually like him a lot but he'll never get the targets there to be an every week starter. Bye week flex. If (another) WR injury happens in GB then I'd consider him a priority add.

Reed isn't just banged up, right? I think he has jones fracture, which takes 10 weeks of rest to heal. He isn't resting, so it isn't going to heal in 10 weeks. Worst case, at some point, he could have to shut it down for a lengthy period.
