WR Tee Higgins, CIN (2 Viewers)

Minimum contract he will likely be offered?
4yr/$100M, that's my guess since his current mkt value is around $20M per season, not sure where they get that Teams will pay more and already have for less.
I feel like he's Joe Horn when he was in KC before he arrived in New Orleans, just needs a chance to be the No 1 for a decent team that has their QB situation figured out
The Chargers come to mind quickly
Higgins is in his prime, I would gladly ink him to a contract if I were an NFL GM, wouldn't think twice about it

I loved him before Chase arrived in Cinci, liked him at Clemson, I believe in Higgins and the Bengals have managed this entire thing poorly
I hope Chase says bye bye
I think you are way understating his value. I can tell you without hesitation that NE's initial offer to Higgins will be 4/$120M . . . and they will go up from there. They are desperate for a WR1. Could end up at $130M easy. The Pats will break the bank (and defy logic) on this one.
Man, I really hope they don't.

I think Tee is going to always be one of those guys that is better served being the #2 or 1B. I fear a lot of bust potential. Just don't think he's a true alpha and NE should be smart here.
I would not be a huge fan of this move, either, but pretty much every beat guy and national guy is all over this as Priority #1 for the Pats and that they will overpay to get him. I'm torn, as I don't love Higgins, and I am not a fan of the WR options that will be available in the draft. From what I have seen, Hunter has more upside as a CB than a WR, and I don't think it's realistic for him to play offense and defense. In some mock drafts I have seen, NE has been slotted for DL help over WR or T.
I think it will be a bidding war between NE, LVR and WASH as those are 3 of the top 4 in cap space and all desperately need another WR. NE has already been stated, LVR traded away Adams and Meyers will be 29 next year and needs to spend their 1st on a QB. WASH has been linked to tons of WR's via trade, Terry turns 30. If the $ is equal or close, would think WASH probably wins out due to having Daniels.

Panthers as a dark horse? Bryce has shown promise as of late and acquiring a WR of Tee’s caliber could propel him even further.

Go back and watch him as a rookie prior to Chase arriving

Like that as an option too.

Teams are probably going to blanket Chase moving forward by double covering him and leaning a safety to his side. We might see Higgins benefit from that.

Downgraded to DNP today.

He’s got to be the most annoying player that I roster in dynasty. I may try and sell in the off-season once he signs his big FA deal.

Expected to play at least.
I think he's fine, but this is both good and bad, in the sense he may not produce if he's banged up and plays. That's actually worse than being inactive. At least then you can find a replacement.

And now the Bengals will let Higgins walk
I might be delusional, but I think there’s a chance that Burrows/Chase/Higgins sticks together.

The QB has been very vocal about needing to keep him. This trio alone is almost enough to move the whole O forward regardless of other talent. Just pay him and try and draft well anywhere on the D. The QB and WRs are so good that all you need is an average O line and an average D to have a chance

Yeah, I like it.

Looking at lesser of two evils... I would rather have a team that needs to, and is able to, outscore opponents to win as opposed to a Steelers/Texans situation where it is game over as soon as they trail by 2 scores.

If he gets a massive contract, he should send some gift cards to Riley Moss....
Sending those to Chase would probably more appropriate for keeping Surtain company.
Also true. Surtain is a great corner, and it's fine letting him be on an island but the other corner has needed help all season in Denver. This isn't the first time they've simply refused to give the #2 corner help. Due to injury and benchings they've tried 3/4 guys on the other side of the field with similar results. Painful to watch. Chase, Higgins, Gesicki all got theirs, all vs Moss. Ridiculous gameplan and in game coaching by Denver.

Just saw a blurb on FantasyPros saying Higgins has received the "non-exclusive franchise tag"? Also says it sounds like he wants to return.

Don't think they can officially do it until tomorrow, sounds like they are assuming it will happen based on a report from a Bengals beat writer with SI.

I'm sure he wants to return with a healthy extension. What I was told by another beat writer last week was that neither Tee or the team would entertain trying to have him actually play on the tag next year. So I'm assuming if they do tag him tomorrow it's with the goal of doing an extension, no idea what happens if that can't be agreed upon. In other words even if he's tagged I won't assume he's returning.

All I know is I can't recall a NFL player who ever put more public pressure on his team to resign players then what Burrow has been doing. Good for him to realize the power he holds and try to use it.

Great news for Chase and the entire offense.
Good for Tee as well. As a dynasty owner, the list of spots I’d rather him be on other than back with the Bengals is extremely short.
this move could backfire too. there are some awfully WR needy teams out there. what are the odds he doesnt get an offer?
