WR Tyreek Hill, MIA (1 Viewer)

I just listened to a Dolphins podcast, they talked about hearing that Tyreek’s group mistakenly boarded the wrong boat, which led to some unpleasant words being exchanged between Tyreek’s group and the people who work/own the wrongly boarded boat. This led to someone in Tyreek’s group slapping a person who they thought crossed the line on the language they were using. They are not sure even if Tyreek was the person who did the slap, only that it was done by someone in his group. They also seem to think there is video of the incident, the marina has camera coverage throughout.
If I’m on a boat & a [famous anyone] walks on my boat, I immediately offer them a cocktail & chill with [famous person + entourage] for however long.

I’ll never understand stories like this. Life is fun. You on a boat. Enjoy yourself.
So, even if the famous person is a total a-hole, you would offer them a drink and let them hang out as long as they want and more than likely ruin your good time?

Wow. You are a much nicer person than I am
That’s….not what I said.
Yeah, the picture I envisioned from your post did not exactly look like someone ruining your good time.
What about when Tyreek slapped HSG in the back of the head?
That would obviously change the scenario in this hypothetical.

But then, I wouldn’t have called him names either.
I just saw words were exchanged. Sure the boat owner "called him names"? I guess the video will be released soon.
That’s just what I’d read. I dunno.

Anyway, I made a passing comment. Not a hill I need to die on (pun intended)

Ain’t defending Tyreek here at all.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: Tyreek Hill is under investigation by police for an assault/battery incident in Miami, per
@TMZ_Sports

Don't like that

Early speculation seems like it was an altercation with an employee whom Hill had chartered a boat from. Andy Slater, who I guess is a Fox Sports Radio guy says Hill hit the man on the back of the head but the man does not wish to press charges. Obviously something to keep an eye on.
Alvin Kamara beat the piss out of some guy, with three other guys, close to 18 months ago and it's on camera. Isn't going to trial until 7/31.

One of those June stories...
Amen

First thing i did when my son text this story to me involving Hill was fire back the Alvin Kamara story which IMHO is far more egregious than anything I can find about Hill.
Not much else to add or say but Kamara was the first person I thought of when this story unfolded. I don't see any immediate issue for Hill in '23

Same. Only difference is the history of the players. But yeah I don’t think this is a big deal.

Hill's brand could take a hit. I'm not sure how much Grip Boost and Soul Runner are worth. On twitter he had been posting some family stuff like teaching his sons how to catch small bass from his small backyard lake. Let's see the video before making too many assumptions.

The local Fox Station, 7 News, reported that Hill offered the guy he allegedly slapped $200. How much is a slap worth?

I don't see it on the 7 News web site.

>>The report states that after the alleged assault, Hill tried to give the victim $200, but did not take the money.<<

Tyreek really is stupid. While it may be true that everyone has a price, I'm pretty sure $200 isn't it. 5K probably would have done it and he wouldn't miss it.

Rut row.

SLATER SCOOP: The NFL has officially requested video from police of the alleged Tyreek Hill incident, law-enforcement sources tell me.
The video must be released to the league and others at some point as it’s public record.

Saw this on another board, if accurate, the video really isn‘t helpful.

“Apparently the video is not going to be newsworthy. It's from a far distance and not clear at all.”

Getting the video is the right step for the league. Making sure the public and the league are viewing the same material before there is public backlash for something released unknown.
The police report can sound minor with a little slap and then a video shows something different.

I have the 1.09 in several redrafts, will be looking for Hill in the 1st Rd and AJB when it whips back around, hard to go wrong with those 2 WRs

It's hard being a Miami local and fan of the Dolphins but this guy is amazing and I think he can do even more in this offense and will be asked to do so. They pay him $30M a year and Mostert $3M a year for a reason...

119 catches/1,700+ and 8TDs with room for more
I think he holds the Miami record for catches in a single season if not he'll break it this year. 1,700+ sounds like the most ever for a Miami WR.

Seems like one of the more "QB-proof" WRs out there. Tua's health is shaky, and I'd wager White starts a handful of games this season, but I don't think that damages Hill's value at all. I have him as my WR2 (half ppr) currently behind only Jefferson.

Gronk handed the baton to Tyreek as my personal favorite player to watch play the game of football. Dude is electric and a threat to score on any play. Every offensive snap I think, "Bomb it to Hill!" Two more years of elite wr1 numbers then who knows.

Then one more year of "not so elite" numbers?
Then Retirement

Tyreek Walks Back Retirement Comment
Nice read. I'm hopeful he can keep it going but one day you have elite speed and the next day you don't. He has good skills but it's that speed that makes him elite.

On the short list of most dominant WRs to play the game since Rice. My list is probably Moss, Owens, Calvin, Julio, and Tyreek.

Others like Fitzgerald and Harrison had brilliant careers, but I think Hill may be more outright unstoppable on his best days.

I know he's an unsavory character off the field, but at some point we might have to have the HoF discussion.

A few more elite seasons and he'll have a decent case.

KC won the super bowl without him last year but you have to think Mahomes was missing this guy watching him on TV today.

Big time. Can't cover the guy with a big enough cushion and even when he's not getting the football he opens up the whole field in crazy ways.

Can u quote yourself? Who cares. Dude is just so fun to watch. Imagine lining up against him and trying to cover what he can do. Crazy

Tyreek Hill caught 11-of-15 targets for 215 yards and two touchdowns in the Dolphins’ Week 1 win against the Chargers.

The Chargers secondary stood no chance against the lightning quick Hill. Again and again, he ran himself wide open and picked up chunk gains, including a 47 yarder in the fourth quarter as Miami staged a memorable comeback. Mike McDaniel’s motion usage with Hill makes him un-guardable, as was evident on Sunday. Hill, averaging almost 20 yards per catch, dominated targets while Jaylen Waddle saw a mere five looks against the Chargers. Perhaps the most unstoppable player in the NFL, Hill will be an elite play once again in Week 2 against New England.

2000 yards and 15 TDs in play. Mahomes and Reid didn't do this. I think teams still don't respect Tua. And McDaniel is doing a great job.

Remember after his TD when he went to toss the ball to a kid in the stands and that old dude in the front row jumped up and caught it?

(they didn't show the full story on Red Zone so I didn't realize who he was trying to get the ball to)

I know no one wants to believe Tyreek is capable of being a good human that was freaking cool. What an awesome gesture, lifetime memory for that Dolphins fan.

I still won't ever have that turd on my team though lol

Tyreek Hill is on pace for 119 receptions, 2,306 yards, and 17 touchdowns.

Despite missing some time while on the sidelines dealing with cramps, Hill still put up six catches for 163 yards and a score in Week 6 versus the Panthers. If Hill keeps up his current pace, he will shatter the record for receiving yards in a season. That achievement is currently held by Calvin Johnson at 1,964. Even if Hill’s pace slows drastically, he still has a good chance of setting the record. He is also a strong bet to win the receiving triple crown this year with Justin Jefferson on injured reserve and out of the running.

Once again. Just a super fun guy to watch play the game of football. He could have had two tds. Wiiiiide open on that Waddle td and a much easier throw. I find myself simply watching him everytime the Dolphins snap the football. Imagine lining up against him?
