WR Tyrell Williams, DET - 9.22.21 - Concussion - Unlikely To Play Week 3 (1 Viewer)

This has been crazy, my only thought is that he is rarely the first look and the Saints defense has been so bad it's been unnecessary to go to 2nd & 3rd looks. Also Henry has been a center of the game plan.

I ####img hate fantasy football. This is the last straw now. you ####### listen to podcasts, read Twitter, this trainwreck of a board, you think you're making shrewd moves and it's all a big random stupid cluster#### of futility. we might as well shoot dice or play scratch offs. I'm done. #### this ####. no more waivers, no more setting my lineups, eat my pasty white ###. #### #### #### ####ity ####
So YOU'RE the guy that spent $800 in FABB on him...brutal. If it makes you feel any better, he was in everybody's lineup today, best matchup of the year for him.

Dude "RELAX" Haven't you figured out none of theses guys are any more expert than us. They just have a better vocabulary. Fantasy Football is just like the weather, the best guess is right. You should come here to listen and hear other opinions but always make your own choices. But if your really done.

Bye!

Or...perhaps he isn't getting open. Or he's not making the right read and is out of position. Or maybe he simply isn't a superstar caliber player.

It's early I'm the season and we have to give it some more time but, more often than not (far more often) guys like Ty don't pan out.

Whatever the case I am not willing to put the blame for Ty's lack of production on Philip Rivers.

Rivers just threw the ball in his vicinity then yelled at him for apparently running thw wrong route.

Then came back to him for his 1st catch of the day.  No zero at least.

Blaming o e of the best QBs of this generation for some scrubs lack of production is seriously among the funniest things I have read this week. Thanks for that guys.

Tyrell has to go after that ball. That was pretty bad. Still it's SD's fault that they keep trying to ride Gordon to protect a lead. He's terrible.

Puzzling one today. Was hoping for a little progression this week with the superb marchup. Strange that there's a pattern of Rivers ignoring him for entire first halves of games. I think that as long as your team is in decent shape standings wise  and you have him on your bench then he's a hold for just now. Plenty of time for him to develop further as this season goes along

Yeah, that was bad.  Wouldn't have mattered in the grand scheme of things but he's got to go after the football there.  He just sort of jumped and drifted back.

Still odd that Rivers barely looked his way until the 4th quarter but he did come back to him after some mistakes.

I have him in 2 leagues and can be patient in my 12 teamer with deep benches.  In my short bench 14 teamer Im hoping he will improve and be a viable flex option.

Was really hoping to see more from him over the past couple weeks.  Was gonna start him this week due to byes but now not sure.  Would you drop him for woods?

Would rather have Woods, but I'm holding on to Williams for one more week. The target volume is still too high to ignore even if the production isn't there yet.

If he flops again, then it's back to the waiver wire.

Same here.  BUF pie is smaller, but Woods should be the #1 option.  Rivers has always spread the ball around and uses his RBs in the passing game a lot, so Williams will likely be inconsistent week to week.  Not sure I would throw him back to the wire....he's still a good WR4 or WR5.  Just not an everyweek starter IMO.

Im not dropping him, but I already have Hilton, E Sanders and Fitzgerald so Im letting him hang around for a bit longer.

I need someone this Sunday. Woods seems like a stronger play for me don't you think?  Tyrell would never crack my starting 3.  Ar15, benjamin, maclin.

If you were ever going to play him its this week against the Raiders.  They're just allowing too many points through the air to not play Williams IMO

In a nonPPR who do you think has more value going forward? Tyrell or Hunter Henry? Thinking about dropping Tyrell for Henry as i only have one TE on my roster (Walker). Thin at WR with Hopkins, AJ Green, Pryor, and Tyrell. Thinking i could more easily replace Tyrell with streaming options off the wire if need be. Was hoping he would break out but don't like Inman coming out with the big game.

I still like him this year. It's hard to earn Rivers trust if you're still running the wrong routes though. Hopefully he gets more consistent targets moving forward.

I'm expecting the growing pains and I'm sure Rivers is too.   He is going to get better as the year goes on,  and hopefully he does well enough to earn a lasting role.

He's got to grind hard and show Rivers......he could be huge down the stretch........

Wk 13 vs TB

I know I know, what-ifs, but if he scored that touchdown where he went down on the goal line, I don't think anyone would be dropping.

I just couldn't hold him any longer. Dropped him for Powell since I needed more RB depth. He was basically my 6th WR out of 7.

This thread could be really interesting next week. We've got people bailing out already on a WR in his 2nd year in the NFL, yet he's had 17 targets the past two weeks with Rivers throwing him the football and now gets a horrendous pass D to go up against.

I like him and his opportunity but who would I have kept him over?  My WRs are Jordy, AJG, Evans, DT, Shepard and Corey Coleman.  I needed more RB depth so I dropped him for Powell.  I couldn't afford to drop any other player.
