WR Xavier Worthy, KC (2 Viewers)

He and Kelce have been really moving up my board. Mahomes just feels like a guy who was embarrassed with how last season ended and feels like an MVP candidate to me this year. I think the KC guys are being priced as if last year is the new normal, and that just feels wrong to me.

I think Worthy can absolutely be a top-12 WR while Rice is out, and Kelce could be a tier 1 TE during that stretch as well. Once everyone is back, Mahomes might be a top-4 QB.

Agreed. The whole KC offense has a chip on their shoulders this year .. MVPat will be back. The line just has to hold up .. The rookie Simmons is already looking beastly.

Consistently seeing him available in redraft PPR mocks in round 4 and think he should be higher.

I know Rice will be back, but week 7 when he's back is a lifetime away in fantasy. Plenty of time to find reinforcements and in the meantime you're on your way to "winning September" and being able to lean on your competition.

In the scenarios where I go RB-TE-QB I'm increasingly taking him as my #1 WR in mocks (and then Pickens is sitting there as well in round 5 as a #2).

My only share was middle of round 5 several weeks ago before Rice suspension.

Paid roughly a WR2 price for him in a auction league in 2024 and kept him for a few bucks more for 2025. After the 2024 season got going I felt I overpaid and felt like I still kept that premium on the books for 2025, but was hopeful for the playoff Worthy instead of the early season rookie. Now I feel like I got a bargain, or at least below market for him at the price.

He was a deer in the headlights the first half of the season. Total lack of awareness on the sidelines. Lost several big catches because he didn’t get both feet in. He improved the second half and should be much better now. Still don’t know is he is the epitome of boom/bust with a really low floor

He’ll be heavily involved especially with Rice out. They move him around everywhere so he has a multitude of ways to score and impact the game.

Of note as well, he was a 21-year-old early declare. Those types tend to be more likely to start slowly.

That didn’t look good. As somebody that is struggling with a right shoulder injury myself (torn labrum, damaged rotator cuff, a couple fractures, nerve damage)β€”I think we could be looking at an injury that will keep him out for a while. They just ruled him out alreadyβ€”which can’t be good. I truly am the fantasy curse. Between having worthy in a few leagues and AJ brownβ€”I’m batting 1.000

They said straight to the XRay. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear broken collarbone. Sure hope not.
Honestlyβ€”and this is nothing more than my opinionβ€”I think that would be the best case scenario. I think you could be looking at a dislocation on top of other damage (fractures, potential labrum tear..etc).

Great info for a guy like me who has a draft at 11 PM ET tonight. Still have no clue where he should now be drafted though.

Another sports doctors opinion. My opinion is more in line with hisβ€”as I’m currently dealing with what he is describing. I was robbed and assaultedβ€”and in the process I had a severe anterior dislocation that fractured the socket in two spots, tore my labrum, damaged my rotator cuff, and caused nerve damage. Luckily, on worthy it looks like they were able to pop it back into place on the field-whereas it took nearly 6 hours for me to get mine reduced (popped back into place). I’m guessing a lengthy (possibly season long) injury. IMO opinionβ€”anything 4 weeks or less would be amazing (fingers crossed for this outcome).

I have Worthy in every redraft but one. 2 of my 3 ROC teams, both NNFC BB’s, and my home league.

Not a single dynasty share.

Fortunately in my home league I went WR-heavy. Next week it’s Mason at flex. After week 3 I have Addison.

Not ideal, but not season destroying either. Maybe he won’t be out long. 🀞🏼

Oh great, the fantasy equivalent of RFK Jr has weighed in.

Any updates on Worthy? Specifics on his shoulder injury or timeline on how long he'll be out?

Should I start Gates in my flex going forward?

Wow. The internet doctors have stepped up their game this year. Impressive analysis and visualizations.

Lol.
