I won't be commenting on the quality, or lack of, on my team or anyone else's but I don't like the 0/1 nature of my WRs after the first two. I'd have probably been better off taking a few guys who are good for 40/500/3, and definitely would have been better off taking a WR in round ten instead of Chris Henry as a RB4. Even so, if Walker is good to go or I hit on one of the rooks (like both of them a lot) I could be ok.

Other than that, no major complaints and I more or less got away with waiting on both QB and TE - especially when I was able to pick up Losman in the 18th.

i like this team, especially if walker turns out to be healthy and gets on a good squad (rumors about philly mess with my guarantee!). the only pick i had a question was the chad jackson pick. he doesn't seem to be in NE's plans, and his development anywhere else wouldn't be immediate.

I went a little early for Brees, which also forced me away from Colston and Deuce McAllister (but not Meachem late). The reason? I thought the Top 7 QBs would be gone by my next round (4/5 turn) as QBs often go quickly, and I didn't want to miss out. Brees is one of the few QBs I think is pretty stable and likely to put up Top 5 numbers - and have some 3-4 TD games.Edwards won out (due to Lee Evans) over Jamarcus as QB2, so hopefully that was a good call. I considered Losman at 20.16, but didn't think it would help as much as Buckhalter.

LT2 leads the way, which means two things - you're picking near the top and that you can sluff RB2. I did just that but still got a Top 20 RB from last season and a Pro Bowler in Fred Taylor as my RB2, which is great. I don't see much change in Jacksonville, so he should be a nice starter for me. Dunn? Who knows how that plays out in ATL (or possibly elsewhere). Charles is a rookie with good hands and if he lands in the right spot he could get me a few weeks' worth of value. Rookies are nice because of their upside potential, but after the first 2-3 it becomes a crapshoot, especially not knowing their team yet. Lastly, C-Buck as the last RB off the board (RB81) was a great value pick. He was the last RB I would have considered really, and even with Westbrook firmly ahead of him he does get a few games where he finds the end zone and gets some points. Hopefully that happens at the right time. He's also shown that if Westy is out he can carry the load, which would also be a big gainer for this team.

WRs make or break your Survivor League, especially with start 3, best ball, PPR format. Driver should be $ again as Favre really favors him to move the chains, and the low TDs was an anomaly that should return to decent totals next year. AJ is a PPR machine. Engram is Hass's favorite target, and with Branch possibly gone for the year to IR and Hackett hitting FA, Engram could be due for an even better year - which is fantastic considering his numbers last year. So, my starters are Engram, Driver and AJ. Good start.

Isaac Bruce is a slow but steady veteran for production, a nice WR4 option. Should he leave STL (50/50) and go to Mike Martz in SF (20% chance?), Bennett gets a shot to start. That'd be great news for this team.

WR6 and WR7 are second year receivers that could be starting for their teams. Jake Delhomme just mentioned today that he believes in Jarrett, and that Year 1 was his redshirt year. Sean Payton has said that Meachem will have a chance to start and he battled through injuries last year. Coach speak maybe? Sure - but given where I got these two, I'll take my chances.

There's about a 5% chance I have 7 WR1 or WR2s on this team, which would make this team virtually unstoppable should that happen.

Certainly need Shockey to return to form, but could be a nice steal where I got him. Just missed on Dallas Clark, and then I was really disappointed that I missed out on LJ Smith (thanks again jeter ) but King should be a $ TE2. He did quite well with Delhomme last year in the first 3 games, and he was a big scorer in this format with 47 catches, one less than Heath Miller. If he finds the end zone more often (Jason Witten theory) then he's a great pickup.I think this duo could surprise, but TE thefts were a problem in this draft (Dallas Clark, LJ Smith). That's what you get at the turn.

Arguably the best set of kickers in any WSL - and I say that without looking at others. Stover's rock solid, and we don't get bonuses for distance. Adam V is a HOF kicker (I think) and he gets the benefit of the Colts offense and being in a dome. I think last year was a down year for him, and he was still a good scorer (Tied for 9th in this format).I went a little early for K2, but I expected a run (which didn't happen) and the K27-32 options seemed very iffy.

Wanted a Top 10 defense, especially in yardage, so Jax fits the bill. Surprised GB went so early, but I liked their schedule too. Jax's schedule of opponents looks good, as does Oakland, and both are opportunistic. I like the return aspects as well, so ST may help me alsverall, I like the team. It is true you have to reach a little at the turn and fear some runs (as with me taking 2 K's earlier than most), but overall I like the value.

STL homer here with my take....I think Bennett missed 3 'non-consecutive' games last season IIRC. Various leg issues such as tweaked hammy & thigh. If Bruce doesn't end up re-signing with the Rams, I'd say you have a nice weapon in Bennett...his value just went up a bunch if he indeed fills the Bruce void as WR2 behind Holt. I wouldn't be terribly concerned about Bennett's percieved 'injury proneness', as with this best ball format, he should contribute quite a bit for you if he is STL WR2.as WR2 I'd say Bennett's targets go up into the 125 range...which should make him good for around 80/1100/6-9ish. I think the STL offense takes a big step back to respectability in 2008 with a healthy OL and some draft help there.One think to consider, I think Bruce still has some gas left in the tank. Maybe a year or two. Dude is in great shape still. I could see it likely he joins Martz in SF, or joins another team for a year or two, but it is also possible he re-signs with STL again. I think this has already happened once before within the last few years (Bruce cut, then re-signs)...but I may just be imagining that.

I'll write up/discuss my strategy in more detail over the weekend, but part of my idea was to utilize players who could benefit from a change of scenery (or see an increased role due to other players on their team leaving). Wilford was a guy I targeted as a reasonable free agent who could land in a much better passing situation than JAX. I'm not sure I like MIA as his landing spot, but those were the types of situations I wanted to try and exploit. Cundiff was the last K on the board who had a contract with a team and was the assumed starter. Not sure I love him but he'll do. I kick myslef for not taking Justin Medlock though...as a STL homer I felt pretty sure Wilkins would retire (now reported). I also thought about Matt Prater if Elam wasn't re-signed...both Prater and Medlock (if they do end up their teams K) will have much more value than Cundiff.

I actually just updated my stat sheet (during this draft, I wonder why ).There are 496 possible "pairs" of teams ((32x31)/2). Since the team adopted the 32 team, 4 division format (2002) there's been 6 seasons of data to collect. 250 of the 496 teams have never shared a bye in those 6 years (just over half).

184 of 496 had 1 occurrence of a common bye week in six years.

57 of 496 had 2 occurrences of a common bye week in six years.

5 of 496 had 3 occurrences of a common bye week in six years.

Avant is a terrible pick in Survivor. Here's why:You're probably looking at him as your WR6 or 7 (hopefully 7 or later). Even at WR6, the only way a WR6 or 7 or 8 can contribute is if he outscores 3 of the first 5 WRs you've drafted. That can only really happen if you get an injury bug or two or have nasty bye weeks.Avant is a possession receiver, meaning a good game would be 3-4 catches and 40-50 yards. His likelihood of getting a TD is pretty low.To have a good chance of WR6 and beyond to contribute you either need a possible starter (like a Meachem or Jarrett or Webb or JL Higgins who could start in the right situations all year) or, most likely, a homerun threat like Devin Hester or Drew Carter last year. Guys like Ben Obomanu or Nate Washington have a chance of giving you a deep ball catch that goes for a TD maybe 3-4 times a year, which could give you 3-4 scoring weeks. A 3rd or 4th team WR that is more known as a possession guy than as a deep threat is much less valuable in Survivor formats. He's only likely to really help if the team's WR1 or WR2 go down.My

Derek Anderson as QB1 is only an issue if you think he can't repeat what he did last year and/or if you think Quinn steals the job. I think the latter is only a danger if he doesn't do the former, and with Braylon Edwards, KW2 and the possibility of another WR added to the mix (Berrian??) DA could really rack up great numbers. Add in that the CLE defense isn't so hot and you have a pretty good shot at having another Top 5-10 QB season. He also has a good chance of throwing 2-3 TDs a few times this year.

Clemens is a strong likely starter as Pennington should be cut. The Jets do throw a good amount, and the Jets and Browns haven't ever shared a bye week since the NFL adopted the 8-division format (2002). Hopefully that sticks.

(I also passed on Edwards as I had him in WSL2 and really didn't want to double-dip).

I also noticed that CLE and CIN haven't shared a bye in the last 6 years, so hopefully getting DA helps when my Top 2 WRs are resting.

Reggie Bush is a PPR monster, so I was glad to have him on board especially at 1.09. Graham is a likely steal in Round 4, as some people have this crazy thought that Caddy might be back this year. I don't think that happens and it's possible he could be done for his career. I hope not for his sake, but Graham should be the feature back for all of 08. He's also a PPR monster as well if you check his numbers.

The "other" Adrian Peterson is a quiet contributor for Chicago and should get a few TDs and several receptions. With RBs seemingly deep after about RB40, I didn't feel the need to grab a RB3 too early. That felt like it paid off. Forte is a rookie flier that might help, who knows.

This is the core of the team. Getting TJ and Chad is an issue - and I agree with BNB about having SSmith and Chad being a bit better with byes, but I had no idea that Chad would come back. Oh well. I had planned on 7 WRs anyway, so there's only 1 week I will have 5 (or less) to sweat. I can live with that for having two Top 10 WRs from 2007.

Galloway "feels old", but WRs age gracefully anymore, especially those that take good care of themselves. Galloway and Garcia team up nicely. He had just 6 TDs last year due in part of not having Garcia all year (Badkowski - ). All 6 came in the first 10 weeks with Garcia. Still, as a WR3 on this team, I'll take the #21 WR from last year with 1,000+ yards.

Nate Burleson could be starting next year in Seattle opposite of Engram. Even if he is the 3rd option, guess what - he was that last year - and he still scored 10 TDs (9 receiving, 1 on a kick return).

Stokley should contribute well for Denver with no Walker in the mix, and I added my thoughts on ARE who slipped through the cracks and landed in my lap in Round 18 - six rounds later than the other WSLs. That was a steal for sure. Jarrett as my 7th WR is a nice option as he may start in Carolina, and even if Muhsin does beat him out for the #2 spot, Jarrett should see the field quite a bit.

7.09 Tony Scheffler, TE, DEN

13.09 Chris Baker, TE, NYJ

I like Scheffler, and he was a big TE force in the second half of 2007. Cutler loves the big target, and I fully expect Scheff to not be a sleeper any longer after people talk him up this preseason.Baker is a nice option as a TE2, but not stellar. I would have preferred a better option and even thought about a 3rd (Fred Davis) but I figured that the Jets will work him in again. He's decent, as there just aren't many TE2s in a 16-teamer that are very valuable. (Again, skipped Jeff King, didn't want a WSL2 repeat and wanted to diversify my rosters).

16.08 Jason Hanson, PK, DET

17.09 Matt Stover, PK, BAL

Two kickers with stable jobs. Hanson in a dome. Stover is the Baltimore offense more often than not. I identified PK as a big ??? after about 25-28 went off the board, so I didn't want to wait to grab my second. Thought about Elam but didn't want more Broncos and his lack of a contract worries me.

12.08 Green Bay Packers

Green bay is a sleeper defense this year. Check out both of these two squads and you'll find 30+ sacks for each and very nice schedules. The Pack gets Kitna to sack for two games and iffy QB play in MIN and CHI. Games against Atlanta, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, and Carolina should also help.Denver also has a nice schedule in playing KC and OAK twice, along with Miami, NO, the Jets and also the NFC South as well.

Lastly, GB and DEN are also on the "never shared a bye" list in the last 6 years. Hopefully that goes to 7.

Overall I really like this team. I made a conscious decision to let the draft come to me in the middle, and it seemed to work out okay. The double-Bengal WR issue is a concern, but since I really had no goal in grabbing other Bengals (or could adjust away - I did like Watson) it felt manageable.I also steered away from WSL2 guys that I picked when I could - just for variety somewhat - but I couldn't pass on Stover and Jarrett late. That's ok.

As for having too many guys on one team, well, that's what the backups are for. Two Bengals we talked about, and Graham / Galloway is offset by having good WR depth (I'll take what I can get for RB2 that week). Three DEN spots? Only one should be a primary for me (TE) as Stokley and the defense are backups. I think I'll be fine there.

Good draft everyone. We'll see how it goes. I'm curious to see how FA and especially the rookies fall at the NFL Draft.

Of course, you draft WR6 not thinking of him as an every week starter... but to consider an up-and-coming WR (in an offense that has had no one step up at that position since TO left) as a "terrible" pick is highly questionable... anyone who really watched the Eagles last year saw how little Reggie Brown stepped up to the plate; also, counting on LJ Smith to be healthy in any year is another very questionable assumption, so those targets not meant for Westy have to go somewhere (and outside of the Detroit game KCurtis was average)... in short, in this PPR, I'm pleased to have Avant behind my top guys in this formatAfter looking over the rosters I can only asume that there are no mirrors in Jeff's household when it comes to observing WRs

I've used a 3 QB strategy on survivors for some time, with reasonable results. I had targeted Aaron Rogers late, but he went just before I was looking to take him. I may have overpaid for QBs here a bit, with a solid contributor like Palmer, I probably could have waited for my QB2, but I liked Campbell's upside, and bit on it. McNair could be the BAL starter, so getting a potential starting QB in 20 was value.

I like this group, even more so depending on how FA works out. My pick was Coles, although if healthy he'll be worth the spot. I reached on Battle, too, now that I look at it, but he could have a nice year in the Martz offense. Porter's move to JAX stabilized his QB and puts him in a MUCH better position to succeed, so I'll expect Porter to out-produce his draft position. If Gaffney resigns in NE, I got a steal there. At this writing, Moss is unsigned. If Gaffney were to return and Moss not, he'd likely be a starter in a very nice passing offense, and the SOD. Washington can contribute, possibly. Daniels is a decent back half TE starter, but thats about it. He was the most prolific pass catching TE on the board at the time, and with the 2 PPR scoring, he could sneak into the top 8 or so. I never felt value at the TE2 spot throughout the draft, so I waited very late, and then decided to reach for a nice pass catching TE ( last time I saw Thomas, he was torching USC in the national championship game for 11 balls IIRC ) He has the skills to be a decent receiving TE, but will he get the snaps? I was contemplating Fred Davis here, also, but his poor combine and being a Rookie led me to speculate in another direction.

Overall: C-

16.04 Nick Folk, K, DAL

18.04 Shaun Suisham, K, WAS

Not a WAS homer, but I think Suisham is solid in his job, and Folk is :X I got ahead of both kicker runs, so I feel I got decent value for this spot.

Overall: B+

12.04 PIT DT

14.04 ARI DT

Went PIT because with the yardage and scoring, they historically have been solid in both, including #1 last season. They should be a solid scoring D in this system. ARI was a bit more reach, but they've got some players I like on D and are getting better. They can have big games against weaker opponents, a nice fit for best ball.

Overall: C+

Not an exciting team here, but a solid group that should hang around for quite a while. I dont see any glaring holes, I don't have much overlap at the top of my positions, unless bye weeks fall poorly for a couple of teams.

His likelihood of getting a TD is pretty low.To have a good chance of WR6 and beyond to contribute you either need a possible starter (like a Meachem or Jarrett or Webb or JL Higgins who could start in the right situations all year) or, most likely, a homerun threat like Devin Hester or Drew Carter last year. Guys like Ben Obomanu or Nate Washington have a chance of giving you a deep ball catch that goes for a TD maybe 3-4 times a year, which could give you 3-4 scoring weeks. g lew didn't outplay him, and he's still developing while g lew has peaked and teams know how to shut g lew down. i think you've gotta give avant more credit. if he develops moves to get off the press in ways that reggie brown can't, i wouldn't put it out of the question that avant moves from the slot to split wide.and i'm an eagles fan too, so i remember coming out of camp last year the two hardest workers at WR were curtis and avant.

Don't peg me as an Avant hater - I like him, but his upside is limited. He could be a good WCO slant route guy.For Survivor though, you need a guy that will get you a 15-point week now and then for him to even be relevant (unless you have injury nightmares, then you're screwed anyway). Guys that will give you 8 or 9 point weeks or less are worthless, which is Avant 10-15 times a year.Give me a Roscoe Parrish who gets 2-3 80 yard receiving TDs a year (15 point play) as a WR7 any day.

QB:Rivers and Young - this follows a recipe I like in Survivor - one QB that should be stable for scoring (Rivers) and one that should volatile (VY) - but until I see Rivers put up more consistent efforts, I'm not sold. Plus his injury factors in. VY - who knows, and he didn't run last year. Let's see how he does with his new WR corps. The good news is that you have 2 starters that should last all year.

RB:

LT2 and DeW should be your main guys all year. Choice? Who knows with any rook. Betts and Bush are also iffy contributors, but at least Betts has some PPR upside.

WR:

Welker as a WR1 seems too high. He can't repeat last year's numbers, can he? Bowe is a really good WR2 and has some volatility, so you'll have a few bigger weeks. Crayton is a big "IF" and he dropped too many good chances last year. Hilliard is a weak WR4 and may not even start. It goes downhill from there with Martin and Davis - not a big fan of either. Your WRs are a weakness.

TE:

Now, a strength. I think you went too strong here with KW2 and DClark, since only 1 will ever count. You probably should have looked at WR rather than grabbing Clark. Great duo, however.

K:

Three?? Really??? Overkill. Brown and a second option would have been just fine.

D:

NE and CHI - solid to very, very good but each year is different. CHI has Hester, which is a big help, but you can get by with a lesser Def2 and improve elsewhere.

Overall:

Good at TE, K, and D - pretty good at RB and QB - WR could easily wreck this team. One bad week from both QBs and you could be sunk.

QB:

Hass is a Top 7 QB, so I like the pick. Redman and CPep are shots in the dark. I'd like this better with a more stable QB2, but looks like you went elsewhere to sure up the rest of the roster.

RB:

I like the creativity with RB/RB/RB to start, but I know you hated the outcome. Nice attempt, but clearly this isn't a good idea - especially in a year where RBs 30-50 aren't so bad for RB3 options. Certainly a team strength, but the price you paid elsewhere might kill this team.

WR:

Chambers as a WR1 could really blow up in your face. He did play well in SD, but you need him to put up 10 good scores or more. As an Eagles fan, Reggie Brown just doesn't sit well with me for this format. He doesn't score enough. Hopefully for you and my favorite team's sake, he corrects that issue. Syndey Rice could be a great pickup if Tarvaris grows up nicely. Even if he is hit or miss, the hits will count well. The rest of the lot (Furrey, Toomer, Wade, Joe Jur) will make a decent WR3BC. Not sure if this is enough, but a very nice attempt to recover from a bad/slow start.

TE:

Alge needs a good home. ZMiller is a nice TE2 option. I think this will work out fine.

K:

Scobee is underrated, but Reed concerns me in Pittsburgh at home. That quagmire could crush a scoring week. Both good kickers on paper but the elements could get to them. Hey, they are kickers. Meh.

D:

KC and PHI - Certainly Asante Samuel helps. Philly was a bottom feeder last year with just 11 INTs, so they should improve. Don't know if I can say the same for KC - and Jared Allen TDs don't count. KC might be better for you for KR/PR/ST.

Overall:

Interesting approach. QB2 and WR depth can really hurt this squad, but RB1 and 2 should help quite a bit. If the right WRs blow up at the right times, especially Rice and Bowe, you could go for a good run.

QB:

Delhomme is a great sleeper QB. I saw your "wait on QB" comment, and it did work out for you. I think Losman might be a wasted pick, but if it makes you sleep better, so be it. Very nice group.

RB:

Interesting group. Gore and two rookies, that might work out very nicely for you. Chris Brown to cover byes could work as well. If Stewart and Mendenhall get starter roles early, you could be set - but if they get phased in or get backup roles for the first 6-8 weeks, you could be hurting.

WR:

EBF, is that you? Seriously, quite the youth movement. I know I drafted Calvin Johnson last year in these, but I thought his big play ability would outweigh his rookie status. I can't buy in to having too many rookie WRs - they have a high learning curve and just hit the wall , especially in December, which can crush you. Now, there's not much wrong with AJ and Plax as WR1 and 2, but you'll need Walker to be healthy and on a good team and get a lot of help from first- and second-year guys. Darling's a vet that hasn't done much, I seriously don't get the love of him this year. He does, however, fit the "big play potential" for a WR7 that I like, so that's not a bad trait - but he went far earlier in other WSLs. Maybe it is a good value, I'm not sure. I'd be very concerned with 2 rookies and a redshirt in CJax.

TE:

I wanted LJ as I think he's great value. McMike is also a good pickup. No true TE1, but the committee concept could work out here. Injuries are a concern with their histories.

K:

Two, er - one. Good luck with Akers. I hope he doesn't go to the Meadowlands late in the year.

D:

Jax and Wash - ends on a high note here. Good defenses for both. Should be solid.

Overall:

QB and RB are the highlights, but WR is a major concern. TE is good enough if both are healthy all year. One kicker (now) is an issue. Defenses are fine. If you get Walker in a great situation and AJ and Plax give you solid performances all year long, you could be fine - but the 3 young WRs could be the downfall.

QB:

Big Ben is a Top 10 style QB, but if the Steelers go back to emphasizing the run a bit more and try and get the goal line ground game going he may have small issues. He doesn't have big games usually but he's pretty solid. That can't be said about the QB2 in Croyle. Huard (who gets ZERO love) would have been a decent pickup.

RB:

Larry Johnson (and Kolby Smith) cover you in KC. That could work nicely for a RB1, and I'm usually not a fan of handcuffing - but 20 picks is much different than 18. TJones is a good RB2 and Rudi is still allegedly a starter - but I don't think he's going to help you much. CBuck may actually do more for you in a PPR league with Best Ball. That was a nice value pickup.

WR:

Colston and Marshall are pretty good for WR1 and WR2. Good chances at big, big games out of both. WR is the most crucial position IMHO in these drafts. Ginn and Hester may combine for a decent WR3 option. Hill may not see much playing time with Bruce's arrival now. Sweed? Who knows with rookies - I never expect much with most of them. Northcutt is a possession guy who may not give you much. It could work out, but it feels a little shallow for consistency after your big 2 guns.



TE:

Solid pair - one of the better duos. I would have taken Lee right about then myself if I could have. You could have easily stopped with Lee and VD, and I think you should have.

K:

Two, guys with steady jobs and in warm climates. Sounds good.

D:

Whoops. One defense. That's going to hurt, and there will be a few clunker weeks besides the bye.

Overall:

QB, RB and TE lead the way here. WR depth I'm not sold on, but it could work out okay. I just think if you had someone more proven and reliable than either Sweed or Hill and kept the other one you'd have been better off. It could be fine, but I think you'll have a bump on either Colston or Marshall's bye week that could knock you out. It also doesn't help that Colston's off Week 9 with only 8 teams left.

I see things about like you do, Jeff. The team basically depends on Stewart or Mendenhall being a day one starter and Walker being healthy.

Edwards probably has the job locked up, but Losman gives me the luxury of not caring. In the 18th, why not.

The Wilkins thing sucked, since I'd not heard a peep about his possible retirement until I made the pick.

Re the young WRs, I've managed to snag C Jax in every dynasty league I'm in, and love his position if Moss doesn't resign. The other two fit a rookie WR model I'm working on, and I figured I'd take a flier on them rather than go with guys like Nate Washington. In hindsight I think I should have limited myself to one of them.

I also wish I'd taken a WR in the 10th instead of Henry. Was lining up Porter and Robinson, but both went a few picks before they got to me. I am relatively high on Henry though, so maybe it works out.

Overall Strategy: Leverage positional advantage, if any. And 'speculate' on some skill players whose value could be much higher this fall.

QB:

I like Brady to have another solid year. I'm not expecting it to be another record setter, but I see his downside around QB5. Upside could be highest scoring player in this format, as he was in 2007. Considered taking a QB2 towards the bottom of the rung (think Croyle-esque) but none fell to where I felt it was a good move. Also considered adding a QB2 towards the end of the draft like a Redman in ATL, but ultimately, I think I needed to use the roster slots elsewhere.

I consider the Brady/Maroney pick a fairly safe hedge. If Brady does slip closer to that QB5-ish ranking, I likely think it is due to NE running more, and possibly Maroney being worth more than what I paid. If Maroney can't replicate his second half of 2007, then likely Brady is closer to QB1/league leading point scorer. At least that is how I rationalized it to myself...

RB:

Lack of being involved in the passing game hurts Maroney in this format, as well as hurting Lendale as well. As mentioned above I like Maroney to benefit if NE does play a more balanced offense. Thought Maroney was a good value at RB17 off the board though. As I mentioned during the draft, I liked Lendale where I got him later in the fourth, but I had completely intended to handcuff him with Chris Henry. Henry went off the board in the 10th, too rich for my blood. Here is to hoping Fischer's loyalty pays off for me and Lendale gets 300+ carries in 2008. If he doesn't get the carries, this pick will hurt. Very happy with Norwood and where I got him in the 6th. Count me in the camp as someone who thinks he has talent, and would like to see what he can do with more carries. If a first day RB lands in ATL, I may be questioning this pick...only time will tell. I kind of regret the Julius pick, but in the 9th round, I thought he was worth it. I am not his biggest supporter, but if he could land in a spot like HOU or SEA, I think he could play a nice piece of a RBBC.

WR: I think WR can be the key to a strong survivor team, especially in PPR format. I like the strength/depth of the 8 I have.

Holt: I like him as the 12th WR of the board. I think the STL offense will improve in 2008, but even in a down year (07), he still was a solid fantasy WR1 imo.

Henry: In retrospect, if I had known who I could get later, I would have passed on him here. He has a sick TD/rec. ratio though. Could be gold if CJ leaves and he behaves.

Stallworth: solid WR talent imo, but needs to stay healthy. Good option in best ball imo. Looks like he landed in CLE, I like that indeed.

S. Smith (NYG): Probably an indulgent pick, but I love the kid. I think he makes a nice WR2 opposite Plax.

James Jones: A solid young WR in a good offense. Homerun threat. Only WR in GB to play 16 games last year.

M Booker: A gamble on where he lands. Will make a nice NFL WR2, hope he lands in a good situation. Like his potential much more than the Ruvell Martin's & Chad Jackson's that went around him.

M. Jenkins: Can't believe he fell here. He went much earlier in prior WSL's. A former 1st rounder who should improve in a better offense. 50/500/4 type #'s in 2007. Any improvement and this was a steal imo.

E Wilford: Another team changing speculation. Went 5+ rds earlier in all WSL drafts. If I knew I could get him this late, I'd have past on Chris Henry in the 7th.

TE:

Very happy with the Heap pick. Most are scared off by injury concerns. He was TE4 and TE2 in this scoring format in 2006/2005. Enough said imo. Kind of regret the Eric Johnson pick. Honestly I hope he resigns in New Orleans. I also considered Jeff King here, and wish I had in retrospect.

K:

Obvious weakness here. Both Andersen and Cundiff have 'starting' jobs as of now. We'll have to see if that remains the case during the season.

D/ST:

I wish I had taken WAS or DEN over HOU in the 15th, but that is just hindsight. HOU is a good young DEF and should remain middle of the road. I like CIN as an aggressive DEF that has value in this best ball format. Decided to go with STL as D/ST 3 as they may contribute as much or more than guys taken in rds 17+. I also was keeping track and noticed a second team would be left with only 1 DEF. We'll see if that affects either team.

Overall I like this squad. Obvious exposure to a Brady injury, but a guy like Redman may not have even been a starter to fill in anyways. Reasonable RB's, but not a ton of depth. WR's depth should help this squad stay afloat for awhile. TE combo should be strong. K's are an obvious weakness, but even K32 like performance from these two will be enough. Middle to bottom half DEF's, but a 3rd should help. Took no rookies on purpose.

What an ugly group. I felt the players I targeted kept getting sniped, but with this level of compitition it is hard to expect players to fall too far. I didn't want to reach in the 3rd for a WR, so I took Gonzo at TE. In the 4th I had no choice and I think Cotchery will do well in PPR. Berrian is now WR1 on MIN, I dont know if that is an upgrade or not. I really like my Kelly and Meachem picks, and if one can reach WR2 upside I think I can do well. Lots of risk here, but I feel good at my other starting spots and I don't think you can have a team in one of these drafts without any holes.

I think Baltimore adds young talent to mix with the vets and have the DEF bounce back. ATL is horrible but might be better then a zero on Baltimore's bye.

Overall, my plan in this draft kept changing, and I didn't want to reach for a WR so early, so I have studs at RB1, RB2, and TE which should cover me, and hopefully one of my late round WRs step up. This team won't win it all, but can hang around for a while if the bye weeks line up.

After Brady and Manning, there were only 3 qb's that I felt were in the next tier. I knew that they would all probably be gone before 4.12, so I had to take one here. I took Brees because I felt he was going to bounce back from the slow start that the Saints had this year and would return to the level of 2006. He also has only missed 1 game in 4 years. Next time I will have to take qb#2 sooner, as everyone that I was targeting went right before my picks and I kept waiting until the next round. I finally took Grossman because he was the only one who I thought had an significant upside. Hopefully he can put up a few good games (like he did at the beginning of 2006, again). I took Orton to lock up Chicago's starter in case Grossman doesn't win the open competion for the starting spot.

I was glad to get Addai at the fifth spot, should be a good value. I took the risk with SA in the fifth because I think that he is still going to be the starter for another year, and the addition of Wahle should upgrade the line which is still missing Hutchinson. I also listened to some info that alot of his poor showing this year was due to his injuries this year. This is one of the picks that I might make differently if given the chance, although if he returns to 70-80% of his old form this could be one of my best picks. The only other rb left that I would have wanted in the 5th was Fred Taylor.

Chester Taylor should have several good games even with ADP starting, and if ADP should go down for any length of time, CT will put up some great games.

I took Keith as the handcuff to Addai, although who knows if he will be come opening day. Last year at this time, everyone was all over DeeDee Dorsey as the backup, and he didn't even make the team. Took a flyer on Kevin Smith, hopefully he ends up somewhere that he can get a shot to start.

Ward & Engram were fairly safe choices who won't have alot of big games, but shouldn't have to many clunkers either. I took Bruce & Bennett to lock up the #2 in St. Louis, but with Bruce's release and signing in San Fran, it may work out even better for me. Patten will hopefully give me a few good scoring weeks, wether he stays in NO or goes else where. Should be a good enough group to get me past the bye weeks.

I though Heath Miller was good value where I got him, he should build on his success this year. I wanted to get my second tight end sooner, but the ones that I was targeting kept going right before I was going to take them. Hopefully Martin turns into the good tight end that Parcells always seems to have on his teams.

My selection of Graham is the other pick that I would change if given the chance.(Would talk Folk here) I came home and saw that I was on the clock, but had to leave in a few minutes and wouldn't be back the rest of the day. I was considering Meacham here, but incorrectly thought that he would last until the next round. Decided to get ahead of the kicker run and just grabbed Graham. Bengal should have a better offense next year, giving him more opportunities.

Wanted my 2nd kicker before all the "safe" ones were gone. Not a bad pair.

Indianapolis Colts DEF 12.12

Cleveland Browns 16.12

Was looking at taking several defenses earlier but they went before my pick (big surprise), and took the Colts as one of the last D's that could finish in the top 10. I didn't anticipate that there would only be 4 D's left when my 16th pick came around. I also didn't expect anyone to take more than 2 D's, so when I noticed that 2 teams had, I had to pull the trigger so that I wouldn't miss out on a second D. Hopefully Crennel can get them to improve on last years showing and they will give me at least a couple of good scoring weeks.

With a few breaks, this team should last past the bye weeks, and then who knows what will happen.

This was my first survivor draft but not my first 16 team league. I enjoyed drafting with everyone, and hope to participate in the PDSL and SSL.

I like Addai in this PPR format. The handcuff of KKeith gives some comfort. I'm not a fan of Alexander in 08, but between him and Taylor, you could cobble together a RB2. I'm a fan of Kevin Smith, but things will need to go just right for him to help you at all.

I was a bit skeptical of this WR corps, but things have already moved nicely for you. Braylon is a solid WR1, Stallworth to CLE should only help imo. Hines is Hines, reliable. IMO Engram should pick up where he left off with Branch out to start the season. Hackett may be gone too. I questioned Bruce, but now that he is in SF, possibly as WR1, that was a sweet pick. Bennett now moving up to WR2 in STL was a boon as well. I see no way those 5 can't give you three solid WR scores each week unless injury strikes.
