Some aren't even that thinly veiled, but clear misplacements <_<Seems like every other thread is a thinly veiled attempt at an AC Forum thread. And even threads that aren't turn into them.
I remember it was bad last year but this is ridiculous. Starting to look like FFT.
Who are your other choices? What's your scoring system? Geez, you new guys gotta get it together!Should I start Drew Brees v the Broncos this week?
YesShould I start Drew Brees v the Broncos this week?
Fair point. There's a sticky at the top of the board, but can be easily overlooked. As a new guy, I will say with a sheepish grin, "Too many new guys." Rules need to be re-introduced, explained etc. The WDIS ?s also need to be ignored if they are in the wrong forum.

AbsolutelyShould I start Drew Brees v the Broncos this week?
UndoubtedlyShould I start Ron Dayne this week? I hear he's the bomb.
You'd get bashed by the Shark Pool and the grammar police for that.lol

This is an EXCELLENT posting. It's the Magazine. It's drawing in all sorts.![]()
I think its the CBS Sportsline forum. Its full of people fishing for sharks! That's why I joined here. Sick of the immaturity. This place is the BEAST of FF knowledge and professionalism mixed with all the fun you need w/o the nastiness.

Shady, I think its good when people take 2 or 3 players that other people are having the same situations/problems with and weight the pluses and minuses of the players. It's always going to pertain to some of our players because we have them all on different teams.Seems like every other thread is a thinly veiled attempt at an AC Forum thread. And even threads that aren't turn into them.

I actually like your exploit/avoid thread and maybe even 1 tough WDIS thread but every other post is a WDIS thread without actually saying it. Thats where Im going.Shady, I think its good when people take 2 or 3 players that other people are having the same situations/problems with and weight the pluses and minuses of the players. Where are you going with this thread?
Good luck getting everyone on board with this. The WDIS ?s also need to be ignored if they are in the wrong forum.

If you make good points with sound reasoning, people will listen. That's the great thing about he shark pool.Again, the place is full of minnows. I think I'm a very well schooled one (die hard football fan for about 18 years, played for 13 and read and study everything I can), but when people see that I've only been signed on for a couple weeks they tend not to take me seriously. The post about tending to the AC forum needs to apply to vets. I've only played FF for half a season (dropped out mid-season) due to [well known and fessed up to] commish infidelity. Who the hell is going to listen to me when I only signed up 2 weeks ago?

Maybve if we all took the time to answer quetions in the AC from time to time those questions would stay out of the shark pool. As it is now, the AC forum is basically dead.
Now how does that make any sense?!?! You'll have the blind leading the blind. You wanted to know why WDIS questions are in the shark pool...Maybve if we all took the time to answer quetions in the AC from time to time those questions would stay out of the shark pool. As it is now, the AC forum is basically dead. Why should I take out time in my day to answer other people's questions. People who have a question in that forum should answer as many questions as they can and then the favor will be returned to them.
Every time I have a question that I post over there, I spend the time to respond to at least 10 or so other posters as well. This seems to work out very well for me as those who's posts I replied in often times come to see what my needs are as well. It think it works rather well.Maybve if we all took the time to answer quetions in the AC from time to time those questions would stay out of the shark pool. maybe they can just figure it out for themselves like we did years ago.Now how does that make any sense?!?! You'll have the blind leading the blind. Answer: the people asking them want to have sharks answering.
Very true. It's also in the approach. No doubt that some old timers can be a bit uppity and snobbish, but to be fair, occasionally a new poster comes in a bit surly. That clearly is not the way to gain respect, as in any stage of life. Rather, merely joining in the discussion in a fair manner will go a long way - you'd be surprised. If you make good points with sound reasoning, people will listen. And looks can be deceiving. I was much more actively involved in ff back in the cheatsheets.net days before my job requirements escalated. Now I've changed my career and have a little more time to participate. In 1996 I was one of a dozen or so people on the old alt.rec.football.fantasy newsgroup (or some title like that) that Joe solicited advice from concerning our approach to fantasy football success. This group was VBD before it had a name. But if you look at my number I just joined YESTERDAY. But I agree, if you make sense, people will listen. If you make sense, people will listen.Again, the place is full of minnows. You're judged by your member number here by a lot of people so you obviously don't know anything. And looks can be deceiving.
