Yahoo Online Draft question (1 Viewer)

Touchdown Syndrome

Footballguy
Our league has an online Yahoo draft later this month.

Has anyone ever had experience dealing picks during, or even just before, one of these?

Is it even possible?

It's a keeper league, and I know there's a provision to add keepers to each team, but there may also be draft picks that have been traded around prior to draft time.

Can the commish alter draft spots on the fly?

(sorry if this is a dumb question, btw)

This link says no:

I guess you could make an agreement with someone during the draft if the commish approves. If you traded a pick, the person would tell you who they want and you enter that choice for your team and then they'll do the same for you. Then the commish could swap those players between teams right after the draft. That seems like a lot to accomplish if the clock is ticking though.

From what I've seen, it looks like yahoo wants everything locked down 20-30 minutes before the draft goes down. So I'm guessing you wouldn't normally be able to trade draft picks mid draft.

The commissioner has the ability to pause the draft (they call it calling a time out), and once the draft is paused he can tinker with people's selections (like say you drafted the wrong Zach Miller or something). So I guess your commish could pause the draft and assign players based on the traded picks.

One word of warning: You only get four or five time outs, and you can only make five moves per timeout.
