Yellowstone - Paramount TV (1 Viewer)

Wait until you finish the most recent season to make that judgment (I still really like the show, but still).
Maybe you shouldn't reply directly to someone with a semi spoiler about the end of the third season when that person has only seen the first season.

Personally, I didn't find the 3rd season too Soapy..

To be Soapy the Brother/Sister story would ended up being that they were separated when they were young.. Had no idea they were related.. slept together .. then found out they were brother/sister.

Construing the observation that the latest season is more soapy as a spoiler is a pretty big stretch.

I saw it as referring to the final episode in particular, but re-reading it, yeah, it's the entire season. My bad. Carry on. I'll just back out of this conversation now  :bag:

Ahhhh, the Terrell Owens Biography...

Finished catching up on this show.  Just in time for the new season this summer.
Here I thought you saw the release date for season 4... Seems the guesses are "late June", but nothing official yet.. But this reminds me..

Time to fire up the DVR and watch the first 3 seasons to be ready

Nah.  I just remember hearing rumors of June or July, so wanted to be caught up by the end of May.

Gave up on this in Season 2.  Just too much gratuitous violence for my taste.  Plus, all the crazy crap that one son of his came across?  The meth lab exploding, the dinosaur bone explosion, the rapists.  C'mon.  Too much.  I guess nobody goes to jail for violence or murder in Montana?  Dumb.  Dumb dumb dumb.

Yellowstone is rubber and you're glue whatever you say bounces off the show and sticks to you!

I mean.....I did enjoy it.  For a while.  The gal who plays his daughter is an incredible actress and compelled me to keep watching, but I just can't suspend my disbelief enough to keep up with this one.  Letting bulls into a bar and then beating everybody that runs out nearly to death?  And nobody goes to jail?  Yeah, okay. No.

But that is the point, Montana is the Wild West... trying to resist its end.

Possibly the stupidest scene in three seasons is her running into the group of lions feasting on a kill - and she scares them off.  So bad.

Kelly Reilly, who's unbelievable attractive but wasn't enough to keep me  watching this series. I bailed after 3-4 episodes. Too ponderous.

Kelly Reilly was in season 2 of True Detective btw and did a good job in it.

If you all dropped because of her character, then You REALLY need to stick it out..

last season dropped the bomb    on why she is the way she is and once you learn that, all the previous seasons make sense.

Re-watched the last episode last night to refresh my memory.  What a crazy last 10 minutes, or so.

Looking forward to Sunday.  :excited:

No, I dropped because the pace is so ponderous. By the 3rd or 4th episode I felt like I was sitting down for another root canal. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying I enjoyed each episode less and less.

Yep. Wife and I are re-watching season 3 to get ready for Sunday.  She’s never rewatched a season of anything before. Pretty sure she’s in love with Rip.

Sundays gonna a be epic.  Dexter returns too!   Can’t wait.

I am curious how that is going to go.  I loved the original and the ending was soooo bad.  I hope this doesn't disappoint.

With the original show runner and creator back for this, which he wasn’t for the last season, I have high hopes.

JFC Beth.  F this F that.  Just on and on... we get it your a BA
1st season disliked her character... 2nd season, still some dislike but not as much.... 3rd season found out why she is the way she is and grew to like her... So far this season

I like Jeremy Renner may have to check out this Mayor of Kingstown that is getting pushed hard in the commercials.

edit: Kyle Chandler in it too.   ok sign me up.

So many better characters that get so little screen time.  RIP, Kayce, Rainwater, hell even Mo.

Just for my own clarification....

The guy that was with the one son buying the property was his real dad, correct?
