I stole it from Leno last night but it's a good summary of the president's actions over the last week. It's his 2nd term, we're past the first year and in another 12 months all they will do is start talking about Hillary and then he really can really start taking aggressive positions on everything. I'm kidding but he is setting the platform for future candidates having to address marijauna laws. Hope Hillary is pro-ganja.
I thought when I moved to SoCal in 2000 that I had died to and gone to heaven with the medical marijauna cards we were all sporting and walking into shops and thinking we were legally buying weed in the United States. When California went to pass it on the ballot it failed multiple times…I pretty much gave up it would ever be 100% legal.
Enter Colorado which soundly won at the polls and then followed by Washington. I thought awesome I have a new favorite state to explore for vacations. But now Obama is coming out in favor of marijauna and I have to wonder how many years before a state that lives off incarcerating its folks as much as possible over petty drugs, when will it be something that can pass here. I feel Obama pretty much endorsed all states going out and redoing their laws.
What is the fallout from this and should we expect a lot more states to pass laws legalizing it?
