Your Lineup Decisions: Week 1 Edition (1 Viewer)

Love these threads, let's get a feel for everyone's lineup decisions for Week 1. Insert your reasoning to add some depth to the thread.

All of my Leagues :

Start: RG3

Bench: Big Ben, Jake Locker, Josh Freeman, Andrew Luck

Thoughts: Banking on a high scoring game and those rushing yards surfacing during the regular season.

League 2:

Start: Rashad Jennings and Torrey Smith

Bench: Peyton Hillis

Thoughts: Basing this solely on expected snap count but I'll probably change my mind a few times before game day.

League 3:

Start: Jonathan Dwyer

Bench: Cedric Benson (vs SF) and Evan Royster

Thoughts: Gotta weather the storm til Mathews gets back. Benson would have been an obvious start if it wasn't SF. I'll be monitoring Redman's practice reps in particular.

League 4:

Start: Whichever Washington RB gets the start (I have all 3)

Bench: Kendall Wright, Denarius Moore, Rod Streater

Thoughts: Well this is what I signed up for by drafting WAS RBs.

Team 1 - 12 team PPR

Start RB at Flex - Hillis or Benson?

Team 2 - 12 team PPR

Start 2 RB of R. Bush, D. Brown, or I. Redman

Flex - could be third of that group of Greg Olsen or Ed Dickson...ETA or Collie assuming he starts

Week one.. I will be starting Cutler against a soft Indy D. Ray Rice, DMC, Larry Fitz, Wes Welker. I was debating about starting Antonio Brown ( loved his pre season performance) over Larry Fitz who plays against a good Seattle D, but I will go with my stud WR1 in Larry. Now I am having to decide between Antonio Brown,Fred Jackson or Kevin Smith in the Flex. Prob will lean towards Fjax against the Jets. Because I love using rbs in the flex any chance I get, even though Jets D is solid. But I also love the match up Kevin Smith has against St Louis, but his injuries scare me. Just have not decided. The Flex spot will be something I wrestle with all weekend.

Also starting Jimmy Graham and prob will go with Ravens D against CIN. Although Lions against St. Louis is tempting.

Hillis or Kevin Smith, planning to roll with Smith but know he is going to aggravate his ankle injury.

Great in theory, but you're just as likely to guess wrong on the "starter" regardless of what any pre-game show says that morning. Although over those guys....sure.

Ray Rice, McFadden, Fitz, Welker, and Jimmy Graham huh? Do you think you'll be able to take the crown over the other 3 guys in your league?

HAHA..I went heavy on rbs, others went heavy on qbs and wide outs. DMC fell late in second round. acquired Fitz in a trade.

I gotta decide between AD, Richardson, Brown, Blount and Wilson.

Right now AD and Wilson. But I really have no idea.

Pending trade to get H. Nicks + Tamme in exchange for Jimmy Graham. If it goes through, I'll have to decide between D.Bowe and R. Jennings as my flex.

Agreed. This was more of a long term strategy for 2012. I'm convinced one or two of these RBs will find their way into the doghouse sooner or later which should make decisions easier for me towards the end of the season.

Trying to decide between Flacco (vs Cincy)/Locker (vs NEP)/Luck (@ Chi) @ QB :bag:

Leaning Locker. :bag: x 2

Will be starting Ray Rice & Doug Martin @ RB

" " AJ Green, Hakeem Nicks & Steve Smith (Carolina) @ WR & a FLEX spot

own 49ers DST, but in this 12 team league, several owners have 2 DSTs on their rosters to play match-up, so I'll likely have to stick w/ 49ers @ GB :bag:

League 1:

Start (flex): Kevin Smith

Bench: Adrian Peterson, Greg Olsen

Thoughts: Hoping to get something out of Smith while AP is eased back into the game. Gerhart owner wants a King's ransom times two. Told him to enjoy Toby's stats while he can. Someone in Carolina believes Olsen is in line for a Gronk/Graham season. Uh-huh. I'll believe it when I see it, coach.

League 2:

Start: Andrew Luck

Bench: Peyton Manning, Russell Wilson

Thoughts: Peyton's first REAL game in how long? He looked pretty good and we all know how football smart he is, but I want to see how he does in games that count before I make him count as part of my starting lineup. Kind of but not really sort of tempted to start Wilson, but hey...if I'm going with a rookie it's going to be Luck.

League 3:

Start: McGahee

Bench: Hillis

Thoughts: In spite of my previous remark, I can't see the Steelers shutting down the run game and daring the perennial pro-bowler QB Peyton Manning (even at 75% of his former self) to beat them through the air. Think McGahee will find some room to run. I also want to see how Hillis is actually used before putting him anywhere near my starting rotation.

0.5 PPR league figuring out who to start

RB 1 - Demarco Murray

RB 2 - Reggie Bush

Flex - Stevan Ridley or Rashad Jennings

I have MJD who normally would be my #1, but for week 1 will have to be a little flexible.

Thoughts?

Trying to decide 2 out of the following 6:

Bradshaw

McGahee

Jennings

Dwyer

Torrey Smith

Titus Young

Two spots to fill, have to pick between Richardson, KSmith and Stewart. Probably going to roll with Rich and Stew.

FBG PC flex slot (1RB,WR/1.5TE PPR), it's between Celek, L.Robinson, and M.Bush

leaning towards Celek since Robinson has not looked good in the preseason and Bush's role is less certain

PPR league, flex spot...Starting - Hakeem NicksBench - Stevie Johnson, Marshawn Lynch
Jesus, do you have Megatron, Julio and Fitz ahead of those guys? I have Marshawn and Stevie both starting in my 10 man .5 ppr. I'm calling shenanigans.

dude, I own ridley in all leagues and am a huge pats homer, so i might be biased, but if you sit ridley i think you will be very unhappy.

Newton at TBBradford at DETCan't decide...seriously.
Huge Bucs homer, but if you don't start Cam, you need your head examined. Watched his performance in person against us last year. That was enough to wake me up with cold sweats at night.

It's a two person keeper league, and I kept Lynch (8th round) and Murray (17th round), so I was lucky enough to be able to pick up receivers whole everyone else was scrambling for RBs. I live Harvin, especially with ap limited or out, so he is starting over Nicks for me. Since you're interested in how it worked out... 1st - dmc2nd - marshall3rd - harvin4th - stevie5th - Ryan6th - Vick (traded him to a team that was stuck with Schaub at qb, along with Meachem for Hakeem Nicks) 7th - Vernon 9th - Meachem 10th - Jacquizz 11th - rudolph12th - cobb13th - locker14th - Pierre thomas15th - turbin16th - defense18th - kicker

K Smith, Richardson or Hillis.

(I'm going K Smith week one here)

Dez Bryant against the Giants or AJ Green against Baltimore.

(got AJ Green in there now, but Dez sure is tempting me) ?

Buffalo Def or Detroit.

(Going Detroit)

-----------------------------

Another league: Flex position:

Trent Richardson, Sidney Rice, David Wilson, Eddie Royal, or Shane Vereen

(I have Trent in there now an my other options aren't great but Trich week 1)?

PPR with no flex, I have both on the bench with Spiller. Figure they will all have a light load.Starting Jennings and Martin. They should get the most touches.
