Basically I mean people who you know you won't get either because you refuse to even consider it or you know someone else will pay more. Thinking mostly QB/RB/WR.

A few I can think of offhand -

MIN QB, WR

CLE QB, RB

HOU QB

TB WRs

why does everybody hate Tavaris Jackson?decent weapons, ok running game, he can run a bit, has almost a 60% completion rate, ok only 4 starts, but he's going to be the starter next year. you wil be hard pressed not to get him in the finals rounds of any redraft.

I don't know if everybody hates him...but give me a situation where you would see yourself drafting him? He's got to be the 28th - 32nd QB on everybody's board. No way would you ever call his name in a re-draft unless you're talking 16 teams or more.

I'm in a 14 team league and if he's there in the last couple rounds I'd have no problems drafting him.

Santana Moss? Mark Clayton? Someone may pay more I suppose, but I like their prospects. Same with Troupe, but I can see the argument there.CIN TENOS TE (Colston no longer applies  )AZ TE

I'd also add HOU WR (not much after Andre Johnson),MIA WR (Chambers, Ginn in a meh offense IMO),ATL WR (Still Crumpler as 1st & 2nd looks JHorn notwithstanding). My

Great Topic

I love to use this in preparation for drafts as well.

MIN Wideouts= Dog Puke

NE Wideouts= Overrated, has there ever been a 1000 yard receiver in this offense.

Jets RB's= I think Mangini will spread the wealth and hurt Thomas Jones in the process

Ten RB's= Is elaboration necessary.

ATL Wideouts= Vick is surely more accurate in throwing sirloin at Pit's than Pigskins.

JAX Wideouts= I miss you Jimmy Smith

Seattle Number one RB= I can't see Shaun being worth a 1st round pick. He still is going before Rudy Johnson?

So you've got him as the 27th or 28th QB on the board. Not exactly a ringing endorsement...but not 'hate' either.

Worst spot by position"

QB: Minny- TJ is completely raw still and may simply not have what it takes. Even though he should have little competition this just spells landmine

runner up: Cleveland

WR: Minny- hopefully no explanation needed given that Bobby Wade is likely to start.

runner up: Tennesee

RB: Tennessee- Hmm, a guy that can't stay on the field because he gets injured, a guy that can get on the field cause he's too fat, and a guy who has hardly seen the field at all. Nightmare.

runner up: GB

TE: Arizona- No one is stepping up there, which should be easy enough given the almost total lack of production from the position last season

runner up: Minny

Looking over this thread I see positions that I think show value:

Mark Clayton should have his first 1000 yard season this year and should come close to double digit TDs.

Galloway has been mentioned.

What about Eric Johnson, in PPR he's a top 10 TE if he can stay healthy.

Chris Brown when healthy has been very good except for last year, but it seemed there was a lot of turmoil on that team until about 6 weeks in. Finishing the way they did helped ease that turmoil and saved Fisher's job.

Jamal Lewis is also great value with an improved oline in CLE and...

Leon Washington in NY could possibly be a productive RB4 or 5 as Mangini (imo) seems to like to keep his RBs fresh.

Strictly redraft:

ATL WRs

TEN anything

OAK anything (except Curry)

NYG RBs

CLE anything (except maybe Edwards)

MIA anything

KC WRs and QBs

Haven't looked at any above, so these might be duplicates, but it's what I got...

Denver TE's: I wish I knew which one to favor.

New England WR's: Team's historically tough for fantasy WRs.

Minnesota WRs: No explanation needed

Kansas City QBs - Not sold on Huard as a "fantasy" QB. Solid and dependable, but not spectacular last year. Croyle is pretty much a rookie.

Tampa TEs: Can we finally see something from Smith? What's Stevens gonna do this year?

Detroit RB's: Either one will be a great starter, but I want a definite timetable for Jones before I consider either one.

NYG RB's: I'm not comfortable with either one right now.

With the competition he has at RB, you still wouldn't touch Lewis in the later rounds?
At best he's a weak RB2. 1. His play has tapered off in the past few seasons.2. Cleveland doesn't have the offensive talent to get him many scoring opportunities.3. There's a slight risk of Harrison taking a little bit of work. Every player has a price, but he's certainly not a guy I'd be targeting. Also, I forgot to add the MIN WRs and QBs to my list. I wouldn't touch them in a redraft. Peterson has some upside though and is the type of player who could get hot for a stretch run ala A-Train in 2001 or Willie Green in 2002.

Tavaris Jackson is the next Charlie Frye. Nice completion percentage, and some rushing yards, but poor passing YPG and TD/INT ratio.

how about stay away from the Raiders or Texans

and stay away from RBBC

TB QBs

NE WRs --- not sure now with Moss but in the past it served me well

1st year Sure thing Rookie WRs

NE Wideouts= Overrated, has there ever been a 1000 yard receiver in this offense.
Troy Brown in 2001Deion Branch got 998 in 2005. Those 2 yards make a huge difference.
Both only caught 5 TD's and ranked 15th and 22nd for fantasy WR's. Troy Brown also had 101 receptions that year for an abysmal 11.9 ypc. Since Troy Brown's 2001, that 1 season by Branch has been the only time any WR has caught significantly more than 50-60 balls.Moss & Stallworth have too many people salivating at a high powered offense and will go far too early in drafts for my taste.

Anyone not named Larry Johnson on the Chiefs.
Yeah I'd hate to have Gonzo as my TE. ;) I guess I didn't explain well initially: I'm talking team/positions you expect you will likely avoid like the plague no matter how far they fall (extreme and unlikely circumstances notwithstanding, eg Jamal Lewis falling to the last round etc). Given that, some of these replies are a serious "wtfo"Obvious there are a fairly large # of TEs that fit the category tho :wub:I will say HOU QB and JAX WR were excellent calls.
