Your Super Bowl Menu (1 Viewer)

Here's my keto friendly line up:

Chicken wings

Guacamole

spinach bacon artichoke dip

sausage queso buffalo chicken dip

stuffed mushrooms

pork egg roll in a bowl

orange dreamsicle jell-o

black cherry cream jell-o

Will you have time to watch the game?
As a matter of fact...

Meatballs made the day before.

French Dip in the Crockpot all day

Make cheese bars in morning

Get pizza gnocchi ready to bake mid-day.

Nachos take about 20 minutes to put together.

Wings bake in oven right before the game

I’m gonna say this is my Puppy Bowl menu since I’m not watching the SB:

1.  Soft pretzel rivets

2. Blackened mahi tacos with cilantro lime slaw

3.  Original Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake

Lots of local beers.

My wife makes her southwestern eggrolls once or twice a year... always for Superbowl. :pickle:

Like Chili's but with tortillas and baked instead of fried.  Avocado ranch dip.  🤠

Would love a recipe if she/you are willing to share

It is based off of this recipe.  Just baked not fried.

Once they are put together, bake on 400 covered in foil for ~10 minutes, remove foil and go another 5-10 mins until the tortilla shell is as firm as you want/prefer.  Don't over do it.. you arent looking for them to be real crispy.

She will modify the ingredients as she pleases (more jalapeno is my preference, maybe add a touch of cilantro, etc).

Pro tip - shred the chicken or buy rotisserie chicken and shred it, it combines better and makes it easier to roll the tortillas so they stay together!

Made boiled peeler shrimp from a recipe that GM posted and they are delicious.  who knew shrimp was so easy. Usually I grill them but this was much better.

Wife made:

steak

baked potato slices with melted cheese, bacon and sour cream

stuffed jalapeño poppers

fresh bread with homemade Texas Roadhouse honey butter

2022 UPDATES!!!

What are you guys having?  I always get great ideas from you guys - and the food draft reminded me that I haven't seen a Superbowl food thread this year.

We have friends and family coming over ...about 14 total.  Current plans are:

*  usual array of chips, onion dip - standard munchies ...also making parmesan popcorn (make the day before)

bean, taco meat, cheese, jalapeno taco cups (scoops)

fried parmesan artichoke hearts

homemade onion straw

pot stickers (love these - Walmart has them) with spicy peanut dipping sauce

asian tofu sliders

*  smoked salmon dip (used honey smoked salmon from Kroger ...it's awesome - 2 lb. box filet $30)

caprese sticks

Char Sui  @Steve Tasker

*  Sous vide steak strips with Cowboy Butter for dipping/dressing

*  dark chocolate dipped Pretzel Crisps

This years menu:

Appetizer, pregame nosh foods:

My wife's world famous buffalo chicken dip with Tostitos scoops, carrots and celery

Homemade Salsa with Lime Tostitos/Regular Tostitos

Fruit platter

Main Course:

Slow Roasted BBQ Pulled Pork with Brioche Buns

Angus Beef Burgers on the grill cooked to order with cheddar cheese and toppings station

Homemade Coleslaw

Nathans World Famous French Fries

Dessert:

Triple Layer Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream

Publix Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies

Coffee

I hope we get a great game.......because I will be in a food coma on my couch.

I'm really behind on planning this.  Normally, I like to have two 'main courses', one representing each city that has a team in the game.  I have recently diagnosed myself as a chili snob, and don't know if I can bring myself to make Cincinnati Chili.  What about L.A.?  Mexican food?  I have no idea.  Help is appreciated.

Hunkering down solo with the Gf and Maybe one other couple.

ordered charity pork butt ($40)

Ordering to go wings from my fave spot

Baked beans

Making Potato salad

Sausage & Cheese board

Lamest SB feast ever but it'll still be fun

The food draft thread got me in the mood for shawarma so I think we are getting Lebanese takeout:

Chicken and lamb shawarmas, fatoosh aalad, pitas, hummus, tomato kibbeh, garlic sauce and halawet el jibn for dessert.

Since I am taking the wife out for a heavy meal for Valentines Day, nothing. She won't eat heavy back to back days. Kind of a bummer as I was considering pulled pork or something. But it's a hill I'm not willing to die on.

Just having another couple over for dinner during the game, not a big party, so:

  • Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
  • Homemade Whole Wheat Bread
  • Caesar Salad
  • Cheesecake

busy day prepping

Smoked Ribs
Homemade Cubans - making mojo pork and my own pickles
Smoked baked beans
Pasta salad
Homemade Pretzels
Crack dip - no idea what this is
Spinach artichoke dip

Buckeye cupcakes for Ohio
Orange cream cupcakes for LA

Just had a tooth implant put in about a week ago; so, pretty light this year. (And just watching the game with my wife and 5 year old.)

Planning to make some pepperoni pinwheels for something easy to chew, and staying away from the ibuprofen, so can enjoy the game with a couple of Aslin beers.

Being a Bengals fan, I am pretty excited about the day.  Hoping for a great game.  Having a couple friends over.

The menu is pretty standard for this house.  Making the same dip recipe (minor modification) that I was eating for super bowl XXIII and hoping for a different outcome.

Pizza, wings, chicken nuggets

Bacon and cream cheese chip dip (nostalgia)

Chicken Tikka Masala dip with tortilla and pita chips (making this up, so we will see how it goes)

Lumpia (wife's sister makes this amazing)

Pancit (lo mein) my wife has requested

Skyline dip one of the friends is bringing

fruit platter with some sort of fruit dip (friend bringing)

mini cookies and brownies

Just me and the wife and the kids.  I’m the only one who cares about the game and I don’t want to mess with cooking today so probably some frozen appetizers and some Labatt Blue

Seafood boil

Scallops, tiger shrimp, argentine red shrimp, snow crab, clams, sausage, potatoes, corn, red lobster biscuits.

6 of us and mostly females so I am prepared to bat clean up for the team on whatever doesn’t get eaten.

Meatballs, little smokies, veggie and fruit tray, meat/cheese tray, beef/cream cheese dip with fritos, homemade salsa and chips, corn casserole and some kind of dessert.

For the vegans on the grill: eggplant, asparagus, plant-based sausages, and whole plantains in the skin. For the others, home-made fish ceviche and grilled chicken wings with hot sauce. Appetizers: homemade quac, humus,  with chips, and cheese platter.

After reading this thread, I'm opting in on the MS Pot Roast. Heading to store now....
Ketoish menu here.

In addition to the pot roast, also making some wings, cheeseburgers and homemade guac.

Just me, my wife and my 17-year old who is excited about the <$1 bets he is putting on the game. He throws a bunch of stupid parlays together thinking he's going to get rich.

Hopefully there'll be some generous party goers. I've been more generous recently given how the hospitality industry suffered during the pandemic.
It’s a place I’ve filled in at for years. It’s basically the employee Xmas party and better customers.
