your super bowl quarterbacks (1 Viewer)

Who are the starting quarterbacks for your league's super bowl? Curious to see if there's a trend.

when were they drafted (if redraft)?

Redraft 14 teams: Matt Ryan (6.08) vs Tom Brady (6.07)

Dynasty, 32 teams: Kyle Orton vs. Russell Wilson

Huge upsets in our league, mean Brees v Stafford in the championship....while Luck battles Rodgers in the consolation game. Head scratcher.

Redraft - I am rolling out Sanchez (drafted Foles) against Luck. Both players were drafted in the 5th round. Brady vs Manning in the 3rd place game.

My other two teams made the playoffs but not in the super bowl. I am played a combo of Romo / Stafford and Rivers / Cutler.

Sanchez or Alex Smith on my side vs. Manning. Rest of my team is stacked and streaming defenses, haha.

Brees vs Stafford in one dynasty. Two best teams record and points wise in the regular season.

Brees vs Cutler in other dynasty. Cutler owner had second best record and points. Brees owner upset the number 1 seed.

Brees vs Dalton/Rivers combo redraft. Top 2 point teams

Wilson vs Stafford-- The rest of our teams have definitely carried us.

3rd place game is Brady vs Newton/Anderson

Luck lost first round, Rodgers didn't make it, neither did Manning.

Here's mine (my QB listed 1st):

League 1: Roethlisberger vs Luck

League 2: Brady vs Brees

League 3: Wilson vs Brees

League 4: Romo vs Peyton

My Manning against his Brady in my dynasty... though Manning has almost cost me two straight weeks.

10 team 2QB dynasty I led wire to wire. I have Rodgers and Manning. I squeaked by this week on the strength of Gronk and Antonio Brown. I need my Qbs to come up big this week though as Murray is likely going to be limited at best.

I think that it is very unlikely to be able to see any kind of trends like this in H2H leagues with a 1-week playoff format. Anyone could be knocked out at any time due to randomness. A better way to do it might be to look at all-play record or total points.

better way to just see if people who draft QBs early were more likely to make the Super Bowl this year?

10 tm - #1 seed - Stafford vs. #3 seed - Peyton.

12 tm - #2 seed Stafford/Rivers (matchups) vs. #5 seed Tannehill/Sanchez (matchups; drafted Foles)

16-Team 1/2 Point PPR Redraft - Andrew Luck vs. EITHER Johnny Manziel or Shaun Hill (I'm happy to be the Luck owner here)

16-Team Standard Redraft - Drew Brees vs. Peyton Manning (rather improbably)

14-Team Standard Redraft - Tom Brady vs. Eli Manning

10-Team PPR Redraft - Drew Brees vs. Matthew Stafford

I guess I just don't know what the long-term value would be of this information. Rodgers, Manning and Luck all had poor games in a critical playoff matchup. I don't think that where you drafted them has anything to do with that or one's ability to make a super bowl and I don't think that it should affect the positional value anyone might hold when going into drafts next year.

It's really very difficult to discern much of anything in terms of draft patterns in leagues with 1-week H2H playoffs. Too many variables.

Lots of Brady in here. Who was that guy in the other thread that said he dropped Brady in a dynasty league after the first couple of weeks?

I'm starting Russell Wilson (10.5) against Aaron Rodgers (2.11).

ETA: Since I read another post by OP - Wilson was the first QB I drafted: Went D. Thomas - Julio - Gronk - R. Jennings - R. Mathews - T. Richardson :yucky: - E. Decker - J. Reed - J. Stewart before taking a QB. Obviously had to play the waiver wire for RBs since all of mine got injured or sucked early in the season.

really this is more for a fun look than any long term value.

Not everyone here drafted their QB. I traded for Rodgers several weeks ago, but drafted Cutler in round 9.

Keeper: Brees vs. Wilson

League 1: A mix of Romo & Tannehill (2 week championship, so he might play both) vs. Peyton

League 2: Stafford vs Ryan. Yes, really.

Bonus: 2 QB - Brees & Brady vs Peyton & Romo

Dynasty: Brees vs Roethlisberger

Re-draft: Cutler (7.07)/Eli(WW) vs Rodgers (2.11)

ETA: obviously, Cutler no longer an option so I have added both RGIII and Alex Smith off waivers. Decision now is one of those two or Eli vs Rodgers

12 Team Dynasty (w/ superflex): My Cutler/Ryan vs His Manning/Sanchez (3rd place game: Dalton/Stafford vs Russell Wilson Brees)

12 Team auction redraft (superflex): Luck/Stafford vs Carr/Russell Wilson (3rd place game: Dalton/Sanchez vs McCown/Rodgers)

14 Team redraft: Ryan vs Cutler (3rd place game, My Rodgers vs His Luck)

Dynasty league: Either luck/brady( I am in the finals with both) vs Sanchez(guy is loaded at all other positions, but lacks depth everywhere after his starters and hasn't lost one starter to injury this year.

My 19 year, keep 3 league:

Brees (I traded Cutler and Jeremy Hill for him at the trade deadline) vs. Peyton.
