Full practice? No limitations?he was practicing this week, so I think he would be cleared for game action soon. Dont know if it was a coaching decision or team doctors decision
I recall Thomas having a h/o migraines but I agree this is concerning...I don't know if it'll end his season, but it's a major concern at this point. I may be very difficult to decide whether the headaches are related to a post-concussion syndrome or not. It's certainly a big red flag that he was held out of practice Friday and ruled out so quickly after his first full practice since the car accident. If he had a recurrence of symptoms after contact, it could rightly be considered concussion related rather than simple migraines. That will likely warrant at least a week without contact and given his recent 4-6 week history, it could mean a month or more.
Thomas has already been ruled out again this week with "migraines" -- phooey, this is post-concussion syndrome. Prepare for him to be out at least one more week.I don't know if it'll end his season, but it's a major concern at this point. Hmmm, team stinks. Why risk another concussion at all this year? Maybe we don't even see him again till next season? I am beginning to believe Mr Thomas's season is coming to an end. He has had multiple concussions, this looks like post concussive syndrome, this is not something you screw around with and Miami sucks. Add this all up and I believe the man may beheading to the IR. I am thinking the Channing Crowder era may have begun in my Miami. Just my speculation andUnfavorable. He has to go a full week with no headaches before he can return to practice.
Ouch.I believe the man may beheading to the IR.
Hey man, you start spending enough time out in the desert and you may be thinking this way too...Ouch.I believe the man may beheading to the IR.
He's been practicing almost every week, they just seem to be holding him out for the games...until the headache goes away.Unfavorable. He has to go a full week with no headaches before he can return to practice.
He has already been ruled out. Crowder will start in the middle.Any word if Thomas is playing this week?
Sweet, I'm starting Crowder over Bulluck. I'm sick of Bulluck being inconsistant. I almost wish he wouldn't have had that 3 int game. That game kept him in my lineup due to potential. He has already been ruled out. Crowder will start in the middle.Any word if Thomas is playing this week?
As a Dolphins fan, I really just kind of hope that Zach hangs them up. This team isn't going anywhere for a couple years, and he's given so much over the last 10 years, I really don't want to see him killing himself for a really terrible team.On another note that could have far-reaching implications, Zach Thomas is traveling with the Dolphins although he is not playing. Why?Well, the specialist he has been seeing since suffering a concussion against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 is in Pittsburgh. So Thomas traveled to Pittsburgh with the team to see the specialist again. I am told the visit is significant because Thomas is at a cross-roads and wants to take one direction or another during this visit. He is hoping he gets clearance from his specialist so he can resume practicing with the goal of playing again this season. If he does not get clearance, he will consider shutting it down for the remainder of the season.Thomas, I am told, is optimistic the news will be good and he'll be back practicing later this week. We shall see.
I couldn't agree with you more.More news on Zach, from the Miami Herald Dolphins beat writer's blog
