Exactly my thought...a one 2 punch...I'm guessing Beanie handles the early down and any GL looks they get with Hyphen being the third-down RB and getting some early down carries to spell Wells. Beanie's never been involved in the passing game so he was never going to be an option there.
What makes you think anything will change now?Well I don't think that has been by choice. Wells and Ryan Williams have been hurt most of the year. LSH has not been able to get going until yesterday. They've had to abandon the run altogether most weeks.
They couldn't run the ball well when Beanie was healthy. They still have a terrible o line; their QB situation looks like a current disaster. They may want to run the ball more and they probably do with Wells but I'm not sure the outlook is getting any better for them. In fact, it may be worse now given what's transpired at QB.They're getting their 1st string RB back?
Do we know this for sure though?Just because he's small doesn't mean he can't be an effective all-purpose back - think Warrick Dunn or Charlie Garner. Not that I'm saying he's in their talent class by any stretch, just that size alone is not necessarily in and of itself an automatic deal breaker.Lsh is not an every down back.
Powell was the only healthy RB behind LSH the past few games, and he didn't factor into the equation. Why would the #1 RB's return cause that to change?what about willie powell? he got one carry and looked good yesterday. I assume he will factor into the equation at some point.
No matter the RBs, they've been bottom 5 in the NFL in rushing attempts every year since Whis took over. Absolutely zero reason to see things suddenly changing.Well I don't think that has been by choice. Wells and Ryan Williams have been hurt most of the year. Is this true? I don't remember their line being this much of a trainwreck last year. They are also potentially starting their third string QBBeanie had 1000+ yards & 10 TDs in 14 games last year while being banged up. The Arizona Offense isn't any worse this year. Don't be surprised if Beanie is a RB2 the rest of the way despite the schedule, especially with the lack of RB2 type guys this year.
from some quick research FBG had them the #22 ranked oline last year going into the season. this year they had them dead last. they are worse than last year because of the loss of Levi Brown and Jeremy Bridges in the preseason. Is this true? After their woeful collective performance against the Rams' pass rush -- a combined 15 pressures and eight sacks allowed -- offensive linemen D'Anthony Batiste, Bobby Massie and Adam Snyder can't hide from the obvious. They are starters in the NFL at the moment because of circumstance, and not because of their on-field assets.According to ProFootballFocus, both Batiste and Massie are the lowest ranked players at the tackle position, coming in at No. 68 and No. 69 respectively. While Snyder, an eight-year veteran, is ranked as the worst guard in the league. The rankings are based on screen blocking, run blocking, pass blocking, quarterback hits allowed, quarterback hurries allowed and sacks allowed.Last season, as a member of the 49ers, Snyder started 13 of 16 games at right guard, and also struggled in PFF's ranking system. Statistically, he finished as the third-worst right guard.Batiste is in his third season with the Cardinals, making just five previous appearances before 2012. Massie was a fourth round selection from Mississippi in April's draft.
Wish I was enjoying this with you. I hesitated and started j stew when the news came out the lsh was playing.I am starting without confidence.Beanie is healthy and will get carries. The only limitation is going to be his conditioning. I would expect to see him get a very high percentage of the carries today. But, that could also mean about 15 carries. His real value comes at the goal line. If the Cards get close they will give it to him.
