WR T.Y. Hilton, DAL (1 Viewer)

T.Y. Hilton (quad) is active for Week 3 against the Falcons.

The only Colts' pass-game weapon worth rostering in fantasy leagues, Hilton should be treated as a low-floor WR2/3 in Indy's low-volume passing attack. Hilton has been surviving on short red-zone touchdowns to this point after making his hay as a big-play specialist with Andrew Luck. It's a new world for Hilton.

Coach Frank Reich stated T.Y. Hilton, "Re-aggravated the quad, and we'll see how he progresses this week."

Hilton should be considered questionable for the team's Week 4 matchup against the Raiders. The injury happened just before halftime in Week 3, and Hilton was unable to return. The Colts have refrained from featuring a No. 2 WR this season, instead rotating each of Parris Campbell, Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers and Deon Cain in Devin Funchess' (collarbone, IR) absence. Campbell and Cain offer the most upside of the group, but the Colts could also just become even of a run-heavy unit if Hilton is ultimately sidelined.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) is unsure of his Week 4 status.

"If I can play, I'll play," Hilton said, unhelpfully. Hilton did also say he was feeling better on Tuesday. It appears he is truly questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders. A limited Wednesday practice would have him on track to play. A "DNP" would not necessarily mean he's out.

Why why why did I draft this guy. I knew this would be the story all year with him. It's every year with this guy. I couldn't play him last week since I didnt know if he'd even make it through 1 series. Hopefully I can sucker someone in to taking him off my hands.

I haven't been following him closely but it looks like he's missed 2 games in the last two years. What am I missing? I was looking to buy low off the injury.

Right on.  This is his 8th season and he has missed 4 total regular season games.  Its a contact sport, people are gonna get dinged.  He is as tough as they come and plays through injuries.

He always questionable. He may be tough and all, but he didn't make it out of the 2nd quarter last week. That's the conundrum with trying to play someone.

I hear you, but many guys would not have even suited up.  I dont share your remorse with having drafted Hilton in my redraft, and I love having him on my dynasty.  Sure he gets hit with questionable a lot, but you dont have to start him those weeks if you have a safer option.  If you dont, he usually plays and often plays well.  Other players make the choice for you.  I doubt too many players suit up for the percentage of games that Hilton suits up for.

Even with being out for half a game the dude is the #5 WR in my league right now. He was the #6 WR in my league for Week 3 despite only playing one half.

We know this week you definitely shouldn't bench him so you shouldn't suffer too badly.

Complaining about having him this year at this point is crazy IMO.

Not only does he usually play, he usually plays well.  Unlike a lot of WRs where “questionable” means decoy and low production.  Hilton plays through it and puts up fantasy numbers, just like last week.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) is not practicing Wednesday.

As expected. Hilton may not practice at all this week. He isn't someone who needs to practice to play, but we're considering him more on the doubtful side of questionable for Week 4 against the lowly Raiders.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) remained sidelined on Thursday.

Hilton is the kind of player who does not need to practice to play, but a third straight DNP on Friday would make him doubtful to suit up against the Raiders. It's possible Hilton will end up a game-time decision.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Hilton is one of the rare few who could play without practicing, a trick he pulled off numerous times late last season. However, the Colts may opt to sit him against an inferior opponent (the 1-2 Raiders). Expect Indy to lean heavily on its running game if Hilton can't go.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) is doubtful for Sunday's matchup against the Raiders.

Hilton didn't shut the door on suiting up this weekend by stating "You'll find out Sunday" when asked about his game status. Still, his doubtful designation is a good sign that he'll sit this one out. The negative for the Colts' auxiliary WRs in this run-first offense is simply lack of opportunity. None of Deon Cain (56% snaps in Week 3), Parris Campbell (45%), Zach Pascal (44%) nor Chester Rogers (41%) have received anything close to a consistent role, as the offense has largely been run through a combination of Hilton and Marlon Mack. Look for Campbell and Cain to get the most additional targets if Hilton is ultimately sidelined.

T.Y. Hilton is inactive for the Colts' Week 4 game against the Raiders.

Hilton was doubtful coming into Sunday morning, so this isn't a surprise. The Colts could use more two tight end sets this week, but Deon Cain, Zach Pascal, Chester Rogers, and Parris Campbell should get slightly more volume with Hilton out. The Colts also ruled OL Le'Raven Clark, TE Hale Hentges, S Malik Hooker, LB Darius Leonard, DL Tyquan Lewis, RB Jonathan Williams as inactive for Week 4.

T.Y. Hilton (quad) practiced again Friday.

Beat reporter Zak Keefer of The Athletic believes he'll play Sunday night against Kansas City. Hilton's injured quad seems to be feeling much better after taking last week off to heal. Even at less than full strength, Hilton is more than capable of dusting a Chiefs secondary that has already given up huge games to D.J. Chark (4-146-1) and Kenny Golladay (5-67-2), among others.

This is tempting, but with the late start I don't think I can risk it.

Starting Sutton in his place.   I'm sure he will blow up now...

Sure if you have a contingency plan. Barring good news before Sunday afternoon, I'm benching for Sutton too.
Luckily I have Hilton and Hardman as my backup plan. Sort of wish I could start them both as I’m not too excited about Jeffery this week.

I have a few players I can cut, I will pick up Cain Pascal or Hines if Mack is out. A few plans for those who have a will to find one. I think the Colts are gonna be throwing it all over the place to keep up and Hines might play a lot anyways because of Macks injury and playing from behind. Hilton will play since he practiced if history tells us anything about Hilton.

Sammy Watkins is mine backup :gulp:(I'd love to play them both)

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports T.Y. Hilton (quad) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Chiefs.

Hilton got in a few limited practices to close the week, so he'll undoubtedly be out there for Indy's tilt against Kansas City. The Colts aren't getting any credit being double-digit road dogs (+11) in Week 5's highest projected total (56), but that simply makes for negative game script that Hilton should be able to take advantage of given Jacoby Brissett's success through the air so far on the year. Barring any reports of limitations prior to kick-off, consider Hilton a Top 20 option at his position in Week 5.

If TY Practices, he plays.I dont think he ever missed a game in which he practiced on Friday. I know he even played games missing all practices.

Now, could he reaggrevate it pregame, sure, but with what we know he should be in everyones lineups who own him.

T.Y. Hilton (calf) was downgraded to "DNP" on Thursday.

It's a concerning development for Hilton. He was listed as "limited" on Wednesday's injury report, but the issue was not believed to be serious. It's now a real concern for his Week 9 availability. There is still a legitimate chance that Hilton ends up suiting up, but fantasy players need to start making back-up plans. If Hilton does play, it will be for a tough matchup with the Steelers.
