Great read and absolutely my worries. Amazing that the CEO of MARA awarded himself $300M in compensation when the market cap last year was that. I guess my post above about company car Lambos wasn’t far off, not much corporate governance when there’s 1 to 6 employees.
It's an interesting business model for sure. Their return profile should move like a leveraged ETF of BTC, kinda like @hooter311 alluded to.

One question I have is how the economics of mining work for these alt-coins? Also does a stablecoin type of construct have a mining cost aspect? I don't really want to go in the crypto thread....

Hold for a long time.  I missed a lot of the FAANG stuff because I wasn't trying to project what companies were in the technology areas that were the future.  PLTR is in a future technology area.  Might not end up being the dominant player, but it has a good shot.
With the name of an evil, dystopian company to boot.

I've gotten smacked around on KNSL.  Down 13%.  Just added 50% more.
I’m still barely up since it came back down. I was busy so missed the end of the day drop. I may see if I can get in lower AH or just wait till Monday.

I've been over the bid amount since 4:01 and nothing.  Original spread was $120 bid, $280 ask.

This is the kind of stock I'd advise my MIL to buy and hold and I wouldn't advise on an entry point.  Just put some in your PA and forget about it for a few months to a year.

Unless your MIL goes by the FBG handle BrassNBooooo in which case, have her set an alarm 35 times during trading hours every day to try and scalp pennies.
well crap, I just sold half my warrants to freeroll the rest. Maybe I'll buy more on the dips.

Good luck...

Yeah, most stocks don’t have much AH volume. Not worth the effort based on that.

Speaking of little old ladies, we have a gal in two of our funds who is in her 70s and runs a goat farm in Jamaica.  She sent me a picture this morning with our Xmas gift next to one of her goats.  She also plays in the NFL pick 'em contest run by @St. Louis Bob and has won a time or two.  Big Dolphins fan because that's the team of Jamaica, mon.  Firecracker of a lady who could buy and sell us 10 times over.
is that goat's milk?

Re: KNSL - any reason it has tanked so much since late Dec? I read the earning summary and seems solid?
They missed Q3 earnings but still beat top line by 7%. Q2and Q4 the beat top and bottom well. They are down below where they were before the Q2 results caused a nice run up. I just think they are getting ignored a bit but their price to sales is really low for 2020 YoY growth of almost 50%. I use that a lot for high growth companies that are most focused on growth than cost savings even though they are definitely profitable.

I’ve got 40 shares that are still green, but the stock price below where they were before Q2 earnings makes me want to add maybe 10-15 shares and make them a full share. I’m more than willing to let it roll a few years since the growth is accelerating (@20% in 2018, 40% in 2029 and 50% in 2020).

Any thoughts from Uranium crew on DNN vs UUUU?
Uranium stocks have been on a tear but the metal itself seems to be stuck in a tight trading range in the upper 20s/Lb and has been for almost 10 years....Fukushima just pulverized uranium prices as inventory flooded the market.  There is still too much above ground supply so even with the big boys cutting production, physical material is everywhere.

Now, there is hope on the horizon as it seems like Biden is going to incentivize nuclear and encourage the purchase of US produced uranium by offering above spot price terms on material - I'm paraphrasing and may not have the "program" described accurately, but I do know industry heads are buzzing about Biden's administration being a boon to nuclear and uranium prices.  Just haven't seen any movement in spot price; just equities.

If you wanted to play uranium, CCJ (Cameco) is the best mining company in the world, but has some warts and flaws.  Uranium Participation Fund is the closest thing you can get to a uranium ETF....it's a closed end fund that owns a BUNCH of yellow cake.

I don't own any of these names and our company does not own any physical uranium or much in the way of uranium equities. No immediate plans to change that either.  For us, UUUU is a play on rare earths while its uranium piece is just ancillary.

What are the prevailing thoughts on the global markets for 2021?
Secular bull market.  At least until the Fed tightens, which I don't see anytime soon.  Inflation may hamper things a bit, but to me it looks like risk on mode.

Is Apple worth a look?  Now sub $130.
Sure. If you don't mind missing out on the quick, easy and high risk profits in this overheated market. If it ever crashes, I don't know that Apple will hold value better than the SPACs, etc. I just sold my MSFT, MU, NVDA, and a few other tech stocks. The markets seem to want to rotate into infrastructure  and make them oversold, now. Think DEER, CAT, etc.

I just read an article today that if China truly stops exporting rare earth metals to us, we won't be able to build F-15s. And a lot of other stuff, I'm sure.
