GME - LET'S GO!
Crypto already got beat down with 10-1 margin calls this weekend. If I owned Crypto, I would consider moving out of all of it right now. Margin calls are coming. I expect crypto to get hard quickly.
agreed, but it has run back up since then. I think we will see a redo tonight.Crypto already got beat down with 10-1 margin calls this weekend.
Sounds like you just think crypto is going to crash tonight.agreed, but it has run back up since then. I think we will see a redo tonight.
everybody needs to make their own decisions here, but I suspect today's price change gets some shorts margin called. Whoever inherits those toxic positions will be coming to the market to buy the shares. This is just starting.Might I actually be able to get out of my GME shares without taking a big loss? Or is itand I should hodl?
Some schmuck broker called him a "midget" to another broker friend of mine. I could not stop laughing... I promise you Mr. Nobody broker who thinks more of himself than anyone else does.... a guy who is a NCAA champion, lead a literally nothing company to the largest wholesale lender and 2nd largest mortgage lender and is a self made multi billionaire doesn't lose sleep over you calling him a "midget". The thing is, he really is. Which I think makes him even more impressive being on a NCAA national champion basketball team. He’s very impressive.
Capella said:GME up 8% as Ryan Cohen posted a cartoon of a guy with a boner. #fundamentals #economics #bonerstonks
Wait, .... this 15% run up was because of a Boner tweet?McBokonon said:I checked because I wasn't sure if serious and sure enough![]()
It really is. AMC is the worst. At least with GME you can make a case that they have enough money to attempt the turn around (I still think they are still ridiculously overvalued) but AMC is burning through their cash, which they already diluted the shares for a ton, at a rate that makes them very vulnerable to insolvency in a year. I mean, would you buy a stock if it’s revenues had been pummeled and they added so much debt that even paying just the interest expense would be more than the most amount of cash they had ever generated in the best of times? It’s a game of hot potato. I don’t think the all the great Reddit posts with numbers ever look at true fundamentals. It’s all about short squeezes and fake shares. People see AMC’s price and say wow, $16 is a bargain compared to $30+ back in the day. Problem is that in 2017 (after it peaked) there were 127 million shares so it was a $2.5b market cap. With all the dilution, AMC now has 450 million shares (4x the number of shares during 2020), so the market cap even with the hits from streaming and the pandemic is triple what it was at the peak price. The revenue back then was a lot higher than it is today.NAKD and KOSS with some sympathy pops too. I love how stupid this is.
perhaps this ape was on to something:Wait, .... this 15% run up was because of a Boner tweet?
Yeah, I'll likely be shorting this after hours today.

Doesn't seem like a lot of open interest remaining (2 days old, tbf)If I owned Crypto, I would consider moving out of all of it right now. Margin calls are coming. I expect crypto to get hit hard quickly.

In the near future, you'll be able to sell your digital copies of games using GameStop blockchain. This company is the future of gaming.

One of, if not THE, main reason game developers have moved to digital downloads and away from physical games is because they receive no money from the resell of physical games. Digital games come with terms and conditions that prohibit the type of transfer you describe. Has Gamestop outlined a plan to make reselling of digital games (really, it would just be a license not an actual game) possible?Blue Horseshoe likes this:

No, pretty sure that statement was his assumption not reality. I don’t see why the games makers would ever want to open that up. It’s not like a DVD that gets scratched. If you can resell a digital code, it works perfectly and they’d lose a lot of profit. Also, again, GME isn’t some sort of content creator so if blockchains can be created almost overnight (look at all the alt coins that popped up this year) why would Microsoft not create their own if they wanted to resell codes? As Michael Douglas said in Disclosure, when did GME have the power? When? Full disclosure, I would have let her do whatever she wanted. One of, if not THE, main reason game developers have moved to digital downloads and away from physical games is because they receive no money from the resell of physical games. Wow, I would never invest more than a couple percent of my portfolio in a Chinese company. Either you are more confident in them than most or you’re a multimillionaire. Or both. With that said.

How does the introduction of the NFT Crypto dividend force people to recall their shares?GameStop could be doing the NFT Crypto dividend like Overstock did.
Here is a good thread on SuperStonk talking about it. If this happens (and the stock has been massively oversold as some of us anticipate, this will literally cause the stock and dividend to go nuts).

I am hodling until I know more. The annual meeting on 6/9 should be eye opening.
It makes the shorts have to also buy the special crypto dividend. Overstock did this, was challenged in court, but won their court case. Look at how their stock and crypto performed is telling (Mar 3 - Aug 21, 2020).How does the introduction of the NFT Crypto dividend force people to recall their shares?
I think the idea is that those who lent their shares out will recall them, because if they don’t they won’t receive the dividend. ETA: Or whatever Dodds said. How does the introduction of the NFT Crypto dividend force people to recall their shares?
Why should any creators receive any compensation for the reselling of their original creation? One of, if not THE, main reason game developers have moved to digital downloads and away from physical games is because they receive no money from the resell of physical games. That’s another discussion and probably a worthwhile one. I’m just talking about the realities of today. Why should any creators receive any compensation for the reselling of their original creation?
