What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (6 Viewers)

I'm excited to hear that Pipeworks is supposed to start regular distribution to Colorado by the end of June via Tivoli Distributing Co. I hope we get some of those limited releases that you Chicago FBGs are always raving about.
Seems that the local allotments have decreased since they announced distro to NY.
Yep. And that sucks. Sorry if that's selfish
Agreed 10000000% take care of the guys who supported you to get where you are.

We had our annual The Beer Spot get-together last weekend in Indianapolis. Here's the tasting list, put in spoilers as usual because it's massive. We had maybe 20 people pop in over the course of the weekend, with ~8 of us there from Thursday thru Sunday morning.

I got a call today from my go-to liquor store in Denver saying that they were holding a special treat for me.

Just picked up my bottle of Cantillon Fou' Foune lambic brewed with apricots and aged in oak barrels.

Between this and the Bourbon County Coffee I got yesterday, it's been a great week of beer hunting.
Fresh Fou Foune?
It was bottled in August 2014, so I guess that is relatively fresh in terms of a lambic. From what I've read, it sounds like a lot of people recommend drinking the Fou' Foune fresh while the apricot fruit character is still prominent. I think I may go ahead and drink it fresh rather than stashing it away in my cellar.

Awesome selection of beers! I'm jealous.

On my second Jai Alai...nothing but local beer lately (not complaining)...but I need more Nelson.
Wish I could send you an Ocelot Fading Beauty. Loaded with nelson. I get so paranoid about shipping growlers though. You should come up to Northern Virginia. It is lovely?

Every time I make a float with it Your Fathers Root Beer, its gone within 5 minutes...I can't take my time and savor it. So delicious.

I've never had a growler leak or break in shipment. For swing tops, just wrap with electrical tape and use a zip-tie...for screw ons...I have no idea. LolI'll never be in Virginia unfortunately.

Having a Reef Donkey, one of the best Pale Ales in FL.
I know you sent me one but can't compare it to Invasion, which I thought was outstanding.
Both great, but I give the edge to RD because of its dankness.Drinking a Jolly Ollie, which is a super close 2nd to Crank as far as FL IPAs go for me...I can't quite rank it above Crank, but man its close.
That Jollie Ollie is excellent!

This is the golden age of craft beer and it's good to be an American and maybe better to be a Californian. But this bubble will burst so drink 'em if you got 'em.

And I guess I should confess I have been draining the Grapefruit Sculpin lately. Many pages ago I was slightly critical and said I preferred the regular Sculpin. Then the weather got hot and I got into a bunch of manual labor outside. Damn, the GS goes down nice as a session pain killer, and it has such a pretty and luxurious head on it. I want to say it's still just a little bitter for me, but before doing so I better have another six pack.

Also happy to do a shipping swap with you Ruds or anyone with access to the Chicago/Midwest goodness that isn't distributed in California.

The only one I found at Binny's was Crimson Snapper because I was lucky enough to walk in there the day it was delivered. I normally find alternative sources, usually local stores.

Social Media

Follow Pipeworks to know when stuff is coming out and then follow your local stores because they all get it on different days. I know my local store is always one day behind their announcements.

Struck out on pw killer queen at the arl heights Binnys, but I like the social media play.

Drinking Finch's hardcore chimera

Everything at the store by my house was severely out of date...so I'm slumming it tonight with New Belgium Slow Ride session IPA as I watch the Lightning get spanked NY the Rangers...its all good though, not trying to get hammered...big day of cooking/drinking tomorrow.

Hop Drop and Roll from Palmer. My friends really liked it. First class IPA, thanks again.

Revolution Galaxy Hero and Crystal Hero. Both were very nice beers. I would love to try the Citra.

If anyone gets a chance to try Birdsong Brewings Jalapeño Pale Ale, try it (Charlotte NC brewery, they just started canning it). Very subtle but delicious, IMO.

Drinking an Alpha King and Fist City, after a huge surprise at my grocery store. I stopped in for some odds and ends and noticed they had 4 bottles of KBS for sale for $5 per bottle.

Cigar City Cubano Espresso....maybe the best coffee forward beer Ive ever had. I hate coffee but love this beer,
Checked it out and it's a brown, not the usual coffee stout. Sounds good, but I like my coffee beers dark and heavy on the coffee. I am curious how a fan of rich coffe stouts would find it.

When we trade Ill send you some. I think youll love it. Looks like a damn stout. Ask Hawks, he tried it when he was here.
