Bitcoin-Explain to me how to buy these things (4 Viewers)

You saw the article on bitcoin.com yesterday?

Popped up on my twitfeed about a half hour before you asked. I thought about it. But I, like Cranks, I'm trying to trade less. Seems to have pumped Doge a bit while others fall. Chicken market manipulators.
I did but have been entertaining the idea for a while.  Nothing crazy, just a $1000 worth.  Plan on waiting to see if I can get it closer to. 25.

SOL had itself a day.  Pumping to ATHs on heavy volume.  I can't find any news on it though.
I said we should buy before it plays catch up. Did I? No. I saw the double trouble musk/cuban doge story as it broke. Did I buy? Nope. Maybe trying not to trade so much isn't such a good idea. Also, congrats on ILV. I should have fomo-ed instead of being a baby.

Thanks although I've been stubborn too and didn't get my second helping.  We're both waiting for a down day that may not come any time soon.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems that for every hex share you have, you will receive 1 phex as of the snapshot date.

Im selling my eth and btc and adding to my hex for now.  Havnt decided if I'm going to stake it, or leave it yet.

Dunno if anyone knows exactly how this is all going to work, but I'm going to give it a go.

I doubt Richard knows exactly how it's going to work. He sometimes says as much. His developers have their work cut out for them. pHex will be nothing like Hex unless developers get involved. Then it's a ground floor moonshot. Seems like the best erc-20 to hold. I think Hex can outperform most everything and hit $2 this year to the chagrin of many. There's your milli. I'm peaceful with my .13 position. Rewards kicking in for me finally. It's such a bizarre space in the greater cryptoverse. If you go back to our pms, at the start of the sacrifice, I made a dumb mistake. Converting other coins to Hex to sacrifice. In the initial confusion so many hexicans advised that. oooops. Hex needs hodling.

Me and my 1.38mm shares hope you are right 🤞

I have 150K HEX coming up in 55 days.  The rest are out for years.

All the ecosystem tokens are pumping hard now.  First ETH, then ADA, now SOL, ATOM, DOT, and ONE.

Next in line are microcap on those platforms.  Let's find 'em before they run.

I have a few coins I bought right before the crash.  Not terribly upside down anymore, but I'm leaning on cutting ties with a few.

I bought BAT at a $1.44 avg.   I'm leaning towards waiting it out.

Got REN at $1.00, also want to wait this one out.

The others I'm under one right now are MANA (1.30), ENJ ($2.8) CLGD (4.12).

Bat and Ren are my largest alt postpositions I Intend to move trade.  I hate to take a loss on anything, but I would love to free up some money on new trades.

Thoughts?

Wish i woulda known, would have sold you all of mine this weekend. It got close enough to my buy in point this weekend that I dumped it all and moved into other stuff I felt good about.
chicken-a i did it again - tl/dr doge is really interesting and potentially very dominant

I've never underestimated Doge. My 2020 portfolio was btc, eth, doge - then the big move into alts in January this year. Those xmas gifts I mentioned were handed out at $.008xxx. The recipients are pretty blown away about .30. It's hard to keep my daughter hodling. "One dollar one dollar one dollar, darling. Waaaaaaiiiiit."

Meme's have proven their ability to make us rich. Just some things to think about.

Litecoin was the 2nd serious asset developed after bitcoin; it's the 1st alt. It was light elegant coding that solved bitcoin's speed problem making it viable for payment processing. Doge is built on a "paste" of Litecoin. If it wasn't marketed as a joke for tipping content providers, there's nothing funny about it. If it's fanbase wasn't so annoying people wouldn't find it an un-serious project. If it's developers would bend a little on their "change nothing" stance, it's in a great position to take a massive chunk out of the payments sector.

With Musk and Cuban stubbornly holding to their criticized opinions you have to take it seriously. Those first two ifs don't hurt Doge with two titans pushing the ifs as a positive. They're right about it being an amazing aggressive positive support community like no other project's, and they're right about it being a fine choice for payment processing.

Litecoin made Charlie Lee (founder aka SatoshiLite) ridiculously wealthy by 2015. The project got complacent and fell behind the competition. It's been passed by Doge in market/network value, but with little effort behind the scenes, it remains a top 15 crypto. Like Doge, Litecoin has a very loyal base. Folks who've been holding since the early 10s.

Well Litecoin development has awakened (available on venmo now) and maybe more importantly it started to follow ada's marketing methods sans a frontman like Charles.

Mark and Elon aren't going to stop. We were probably wrong thinking them fools to be pushing a meme coin. My Doge is cost averaged at a nickel. There isn't much there. I posted my top 12 holdings a few days back, no Doge unfortunately.

I'm also contemplating a good time to cut bait on some things.  I want to let the winners run while protect the gains in case things take a turn.  I've come up with an exit strategy that plays well with the performance targets I mentioned above.  If a token's price CLOSES below its 5 day moving average, I will sell.  While not perfect by any stretch, it takes some of the emotion out of the decision and hopefully lets things run if the bull trend continues.

Food for thought.  I'm not a financial advisor.  Just another dope on the internet.

So you’re saying I should continue to HODL my 100K Doge pups at .02 cost average? After cashing out for about 11K at .65, I told myself I wouldn’t touch it until the end of the year. Now I’m thinking I just hold the lottery ticket for a few years and forget about it.

I bought a microcap gaming token called Rising Sun $RSUN today.  It was a learning process as it forced me to use Pancake Swap and the Binance Smart Chain.  It requires getting $BNB into a metamask wallet, which, for some reason, Binance.US doesn't support.  I had to use Kucoin instead.

After it was all said and done, I think I got punched in the throat pretty good with the fill since liquidity is so poor.  It's only a $500 position, so not a huge deal, but keep that in mind when you look at the coingecko price and then calculate what you actually get filled at.

At $4M market cap, $RSUN is a total gamble. Give me a nice run to $100M market cap and I'll be on my way.

You're playing with house money now.  There are no wrong answers.

I think this current bull run lasts about a year.  I'd HODL.

I don't know if it's much of a "lottery ticket" at this point, though.  Maybe it runs to $1, but that's only a 3X.  If it were me, I"d roll those gains into some real 50-100X lottery tickets.  The DOGE lottery ticket already cashed.

That's one of a few gaming coins I put in the 401k. See ya on the moon.

My daughter and I are playing for pay Crazy Defense Heroes every day for the month of August as an experiment. I mostly just log in daily to keep an attendance bonus alive. I'll earn a few tokens. Depending on things she'll play little to as much as 8 hours a day. Depending on the price of tower token (down 5% for us) and some gaming luck, she thinks it's a minimum wage job but also a bit of an addiction. There's an end of the month bonus split between all players who earn 25,000 points. She's almost there.

My WallStreetGames position looks like it could be the first time a token has zeroed out on me. :(

Also Binance.US + TrustWallet is your friend. From Binance.US to Trustwallet the bnb fee is .001 or less depending on how much bnb you have. Then transfer the bnb from Trustwallet to Metamask and Cake is ready to swap away. You'd still have the slippage but saved those fees. In a high percentage of cases Trustwallet (a binance defi wallet) works on Cake (a binance project) without needing a transfer to Metamask (an erc-20 wallet).

And welcome to CAKE. Cake is now my 2nd largest holding. I deleted my usual tl/dr right here. :)

Okay, short version. Months ago I said Trust, Meta, Atomic, and Math were the wallets I use. I'm pretty sold on that combo at this point, and many other defi junkies agree with me. Crypto.com is a good 5th. Freewallet.org (custodial) is fun for a family group full of old clueless boomers (the xmas gifts).

Thanks for the info.  I'll work Trustwallet into the mix now.

I'll be interested to hear how CDH works out for your daughter.  My 14 yo is skeptical of the whole Play-to-Earn model, but I'm hoping if I lob him enough options he'll drop Call of Duty and start earning some money for a car.

Not sure how old your daughter is, but if she likes Roblox, Blankos Block Party might be up her alley.  I've already 4Xed on a couple of the character NFTs.  Unfortunately they were only $10/piece.

Two things chicken killing me as I wake up this morning. Arweave. It's been on my watchlist since George dude pimped it as better than The Graph (which I own). Yesterday (on twitter per usual) The Graph pitched excitement over a partnership with Arweave where they connect different functions in the big data sector. I should have bought Arweave on the news. It's broken into the top 100 and up 50% since I saw the tweets.

2nd one is a dilemma. I follow so much on twitter the porn sector projects make their way into my feed. It's just money, right? We shouldn't be embarrassed to invest in such a huge online industry, right? Are their moral, maybe religious, issues stopping us? Well, I do alot of this with my 22 year old daughter, so I never wanted cummies or pornrocket or nsfw to be part of that discussion. TasteNFT is a project I've been seeing for about a month. It's dedicated to nude art as NFTs and a resource for online sex workers to become independent of their pimp/thug/mafia mostly Eastern European masters. It's marketed as "tasteful" porn. Gambling and Porn have always been perfect for cryptos and leaders for accepting it as payments. Taste is up 12,000% in a week or so. Just, ooops.

So that's it. I'm not going to trade less. I've got alot of busd since dumping half my ada at very near the top. Going forward for now, I'm making moves on this type of "twitter first" information.

I hear where you are coming from (and definitely wouldn't trade in some of the coins you mentioned with a 22 year old daughter) but when you think of all the shady/horrible/corrupt/immoral things that many publicly traded companies partake in....the gambling/pron view isn't that bad.

That sucks.

Don't get me wrong about trading though.  I want to trade my core investments less.  That doesn't mean I want to trade less in general.  Now that I'm moved into my new house, I intend to start scouring for small moonshot ideas.  Some of those will be based on technical analysis which will absolutely be considered trading and not investing.

On a fundamental note, I was looking to get into the public token raise for Star Atlas, an upcoming PtE game that'll be run on Solana.  After reading a walkthrough, I'm not so sure it's worth the risk.  Star Atlas

They want you to buy and stake 100 $RAY tokens for a week to earn a lottery ticket for a chance to buy $69 worth of the Star Atlas tokens.  So basically the RAY price is getting run up and there will likely be a big sell off once the lottery winners are determined on Sept 2.  I don't know what the odds of winning a ticket will be, but my guess that the odds of losing on the $RAY token hold is high.

One day society will wake up and realize its preference of violence to sex is a little backward.

No spoilers! I'll look in 1.5 years. But let's see, um, say it does half this nicely every month until my xmas reveal....??? Yup, an island in Panama. 😂

Btw, Vanity is one on my watchlist going crazy today. It's also one I just should have bought the news. It's only been on the watchlist three or four days. Placed there because of some news that caught my eye. I just didn't see the $value of the idea. The market sure does. Basically they are making our wallet addresses NFTs. So instead of using xoslijhgslnksdfirtslksdgkls I can just name the NFT ChaosCommish and that's my address forever. Cool, yeah?

I woke up yesterday and whined. This morning me happy. Missed out on SOL playing catch up. Typed a bit about loving ALGO a few days ago, so I decided it really had to play catch up too. I believe it is the best tech of any blockchain ecosystem. So half the ADA I dumped went in before I got in bed. It's awake! Perfect timing.

When Hoskinson did a 7 hour interview, he said several times Algo should be a top 10 crypto. ADA in full development will be hard pressed to do anything better than ALGO.

I also doubled down on IOTX cost averaging on a dip.

Did similar with OMI, which I expect big things from soon.

My MultiVac is running hot.

MetaHero recovering nicely.

Cosmos took off.

There's more.

My port is outperforming my watchlist. :)

And it what looks like good news in general, alts ARE decoupling from BTC more than I have ever noticed.

Went shopping this morning with my SOL profits.  Bought some more ILV, ETH, and VRA.
more ILV and I'm still too chicken to fomo. If that aussie you linked to has more to say, please share. He struck me as just about the most tuned in dev I have listened to, and I go out of my way to listen to devs. Verasity is a favorite of mine for awhile. Bought at .01133, up 118%, so take that mr ilv. :)

I made some more moves but late for an appt.

Last comment for now. I feel a little desperate to invest all the ADA I sold at 2.21.... before it beats that number! 😁

edit, checked before leaving, ada 2.24 - pffff

happy for all the ada holders tho. I still have half my big bag anyway.

Nothing from the Aussie although you may have seen the story come out that he is in massive debt to people.  I don't think that undermines his credibility in terms of being plugged into the gaming space, but it was still some unsettling news.

As Jim Rome always says of star athletes, we "don't know these people".   I'm sure that pertains to Alex and Hoskinson.

I follow ILV on Discord and actually had a brief back and forth with Kieran Warwick about Alex Becker .  It's been interesting watching the behind the scenes 'strategery' used to get the Illuvium name in more people's mouths.  The NFT gaming space YTers are already on top of the project, but I'm starting to see the more generic influencers talk about it.  When I mentioned getting Alex Becker to be a voice for the project on Discord, Warwick replied that he's already tied in as an early investor.  Not more than a couple days later do I see AB name drop ILV in one of his videos.

While I am bullish the token appreciation of the project, it's the staking rewards that is really drawing me in.  I already earned 10% rewards on my original investment.  Combined with the token appreciation, I've made 40% on my investment in one month just from staking rewards.  And that's just with the ILV stake.  With the ILV-ETH liquidity pool stakes which I started this morning, they're estimating nearly 700% APY on staking rewards.  Granted, there's impermanent loss risk to worry about, but I figure it's worth the gamble at that rate.

Looks like I successfully purchased ETH on metamask, then used uniswap to move it to SHIB.

Much success!!!

Balance: 599,600,000 SHIB

$2.40 !  :hifive:

If buying today...

ADA, ACH, or ALGO?
Hey good buddy, you put us on the spot. As hot as ada is the algo move beat it by 10% today.

I have no thoughts on ach, so it might be your best bet.

Twitter is abuzz with ada love. It makes me chuckle because eth maxis who make a mess of the conversation daily with ada hate are gone, vanished. haha

I think both will outperform eth this year. But I'm wrong alot, and when things are bearish I psychologically feel best with eth and btc.

Ya know what? I'm doing fantastic being wrong alot.

I also think many other assets will outperform ada and algo. Elrond is due to wake up like dot then sol then ada then algo then who's next? Tezos maybe, another project ahead of most with smart contracts (that Hoskinson sees as an algo-like competitor). So this notion that slow movers with solid projects seem to hit the gas on some news has worked kind of amazing for several weeks.

Omi and Iotx (purchased in the wee hours yesterday with algo) were quiet today, but I have 8 assets outperforming this ada bull that everyone is talking about. VRA that Cranks just bought went up 25%+ the day he bought. So cool. I'm rambling again.

Fiat cannot buy happiness.

Ok. I'm gonna stake ILV-ETH after this post. I'll pull some weeds to do it, but my weeds aren't worth as much as I want to stake. So, I may take more ada profits to do this. PolkaDex has done great for me, and maybe I'll use it. Tough calls.

That 700% is mindblowing. Feg offered 400 and hasn't been up to it. Ada offeres 5% cuz Chuck is avaricious. :)  Cake offered 220 in early Jan when I was literally one of the first 500 or so to stake. My apy 7 months in is 138%. We talk about price all the time but these absurd apys are sweet.
