“Exaggerating”. For a guy who’s been hammering those around here to open their eye to the truth this is rich (and rife with hypocrisy but I digress).  But you’ve also made it clear you don’t care as long as you get your policy so there’s that, but at least be consistent.

That he said he was in the top half of his class?
That he went to college on a full scholarship?
That he has a history of plagiarizing?

He is the leader during a couple of the bigger crises the nation in my lifetime. We are in a politics sub-forum of a fantasy football site so seems like the place to discuss it.

Trump supporters don't care that he's rude, crude, and sociably unacceptable.  We could not care less.
We don't care if he comes, stays, lays, or prays.
We don't care if he chits or goes blind.
We simply just do not care.

We care about results.
We care about promises made and promises kept.
We don't want the government to have control of our lives.
We care that we can do what we want as long as we aren't hurting anyone else.
We want to know that everyone is treated the same under the law...including, and especially, politicians.
We understand how a rich man can get elected to serve and become poor but how can a poor man can get elected to serve and become rich?
We believe in term limits. NOBODY should spend a career in office...and they probably wouldn't if they weren't getting rich doing it.
We believe that politicians should not put their party before their people.
We honestly believe that the US is the best country that has ever existed on planet Earth. Not perfect...just the best.
We don't want the US beholding to any other country or our leaders, bowing in submission.
We want the government to protect us from foreign threats....we'll protect ourselves and our loved ones in our homes.
We want to decide what is right for our kids....not the government.
We don't want the Media telling us what to think.
We don't like or trust politicians...almost every politician. They constantly lie and they are unabashedly and apologetically , hypocritical.
Same with the MSM. There is no doubt that they have an agenda. The same agenda as the Left.

The list goes on and the list contradicts a lot (if not most) of what the Left wants.
I am sure that others here could add to the list.

So why do you keep couching “lying” with “exaggerating”.  Because you do care and you’re trying to slant things.  The problem with that Opie is it doesn’t lineup at all with what you’ve been opining about around here for a weeks now.  The Truth!!!  You can’t be a bastion of the truth, a lecturer standing on your pulpit trying to lead us MSM sheep if you don’t live it yourself.  All without the slightest bit of irony that you’re preaching the truth while supporting a liar (and “not caring”). You seem like an intelligent dude, how you can’t see these hypocrites only shows us you don’t want to.  

 
Hi @OpieI appreciate your last post. The economy HAS improved incredibly under President Trump, (up until the pandemic, of course) and I’m not one of those liberals who is going to argue that Obama deserves all the credit. That’s silly. Trump has done 3 things that has spurred the economy: 

1. He cut taxes on the wealthy. According to conservative doctrine, this creates jobs and it has. Progressive doctrine would argue that these jobs are low paying, that it hasn’t achieved more spending power, that it’s basically a transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to the already wealthy. I suspect that the conservative argument is true short term and the liberal argument more true long term. But it’s debatable. 
 

2. He’s spent government money like a drunken sailor. This is not necessarily bad; liberal economists from Keynes to the present day have no problem with this. But it’s worth noting that if Trump has been a Democrat and done the exact same thing I suspect you and other conservatives would have been all over him for it. 

3. He’s cut red tape for our old energy industries. For me this is the most problematic. Rather than look forward to how we’re going to function in the future world of climate change and try to transition to that world, Trump has opted for the easy solutions of oil, coal, and fracking. In so doing I believe he is taking a bad gamble with our future, and that of our children and grandchildren.
