TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (6 Viewers)

Good morning to my fellow "Great Place" posters.  Hope today finds you happy and well.

Thought I'd start the day off with a friendly warning/reminder to those who are putting weight into popularity poles.  This is where that got you last time.

Some people just never learn from the past, oh well, looks like part II, the 2020 "this cant happen again" montage may be just as rewarding

Love watching all the smugness from the 'experts.'

Trump (or his handlers) know exactly what the score is.

Say something terrible(and I gotta say, it was pretty low) and watch the left normal, non-bigoted Americans..

LOSE THEIR MINDS!! merely point it out and voice disagreement

It's like a windup toy.  He knows there will be a reaction and he knows some of the left will do stupid things that waste time (talking about impeachment again...which has a zero chance of succeeding)  and he can just play that card all the way to election day.

Pelosi had it right. Dont acknowledge him. Denounce the comments and move on like you would with a child.  But trump knows the left is all about emotion, and he..or someone..is playing that card.  I gotta say...while I've never really liked Pelosi..she knows politics.  But the progressives are stifling her wisdom.

While what the president said is really sad and will definitely go down as a dark day..the left takes this bait so easily....its a shame on both sides.

It's actually surprising that there are so many political consumers here and you cant figure this out.   It shows just how ingrained everyone is.
FTFY

He’s a dummy but white nationalist, give me a freaking break. The Left is so unhinged that a dummy like Trump is unfortunately the better option and it’s not close.
The working theory as I understand it is that Trump is dumb, is that pretty fair based on the above?

I think I might just reiterate this point every chance possible.

“Alcaida.”

- Actual President.

Mark twain, guys. That means you've plumbed the depth of a not very deep depth.

I've said I think this thread is valuable. And what's going on here is going on nationally. It's really not healthy. I saw on CNN this evening - watched maybe a minute or so - the Trump surrogate (name escapes me) arguing in response to the liberal talking head's point that 'ok maybe you're not racist but you're enabling and giving power to a racist' which is made here over and over and over again by responding that 1. look at Chicago and the black murder rate and 2. he's a nationalist, not a white nationalist.

I only mention that because here are two highly paid, professional political experts going through the same dance as the anon amateurs here, which we all are.

I'll just say as someone who has read I think a pretty good deal of history that this nationalism vs socialism chasm is extremely unhealthy. I have family from Spain and it happened there ages ago.

Reflect a little. Nationally the Trump supporters take glee in the ever increasing worry and disgust and concern from liberals and conservatives. The wilder the Trump behavior (and let's face it it just has to become wilder with every day to generate this rubric) the greater the angst and thus the greater the reaction. On and on and on.

The Trump supporters won't speak in positive values. The Trump critics get ever more agitated and try broader and broader language to get their attention, making a plea for common values.

I don't see an echo chamber or a cesspool here, I see a microcosm, a window to the national course as it stands right now. Take it for what it's worth, it's an effect.
SID is one of the few of the posters on the other side of the spectrum able to articulate, so his posts are welcome.

However, as a Trump supporter we are the reaction not the instigation.  Look at election night, Inauguration Day riots, the Pink Hat parade one week into the administration.  That behavior is unprecedented and emboldened many Trump supporters.  The other side is just plain loco.

Such as foreign diplomats secretly calling him dumb? His own people intentionally disobeying his orders to obstruct justice? The fact he speaks at a 4th grade level? The fact that he speaks straight up gibberish when he goes off script? What about his six bankruptcies?

His handlers, with the help of Russia, got him elected. He is the very definition of a useful idiot.

grammar/spelling police?

So we're using a handwritten note not meant for public viewing as an announcement as to Trumps intelligence.
Spelling has zero to do with intelligence. Zero to do with  it
I don't want to be contentious, seriously. Birds postulated that Trump was a "dummy" (above), not me, that was a theory put forth here by a supporter. I view this like the issue of Trump saying several times that his father was from Germany. I'm genuinely mystified. And so as I understand it - your explanation is that the President of the United States simply can't spell "Al Qaeda"? Ok fine, I agree that must be it. That is it apparently. But it doesn't relate to his intelligence. Ok, fine, thank you for your response.

So it appears that Mr. Van Spronsen wrote a manifesto and that is being used by some to see him as a martyr, hard to believe I know.

I bet he can spell and say “RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST GROUP.”

This thread is a great sociology experiment.
How so?
Don't tell me you haven't enjoyed watching them make excuses for his tweets, then have him explicitly shoot holes in their excuses, and then watch them be forced to eat their words. When left with nothing to stand on they're left to just shrug off the bigotry and admit they will support him always and forever, regardless of how vile he is.

Others cry about minor actions of some dems and then brush off (and some applaud) even worse actions by trump. YoU'Re fORciNg mE To vOTe for tRuMp!

A great sociology experiment indeed.

Have any Democrats condemned this terrorist attack on our ICE officials?  Why is there a complete main stream media blackout on this?

Have you ever taken notes?  I know I have my own short hand language and spell check doesn't really come into play, as long as I know what I meant in what I wrote that is all that matters when it comes time to use those notes for whatever reason.

The material gets weaker and weaker by the day.  Can’t criticize results so let’s go to spelling, fast food consumption and skin color.
When that fails like it always does go back to rehashing the 2016 campaign.  We have somebody in here today spazzing out about Trump filing for bankruptcy 30 years ago. Wash, rinse and repeat.

This forum has been filled with Trump hate posts since its inception.  A subculture has been created here where people with fringe mindsets have felt comfortable feeding off others fringe beliefs.  They have convinced themselves that they have a normal perspective and have successfully ran off many with opinions and ideas that are actually not fringein the real world.

This thread has upset their world.  One place where their beliefs are scoffed at.  It may be shattering the illusion that they have created.  In an attempt to keep this illusion alive and realize it’s boring in their homogeneous echo chamber, they are coming into this one thread to attempt to validate themselves like ants to a picnic.
  the irony is unbelievable

She didn't marry her brother. That's a rumor which was propagated by a conservative blogger in 2016.

(But how can you really tell when all the names and faces look the same, amirite?!?)

There are lots and lots of legitimate reasons to criticize Omar. Spreading nasty rumors is not one of them.
It seems the story was never refuted and still has legs

https://www.nationalreview.com/news/clue-hidden-in-website-code-fuels-speculation-on-rep-omars-marital-history/
The first line of that story is "Representative Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) has long dismissed the accusation that she married her brother".

Why should Democrats need to condemn it? Was this guy a Democrat? I thought he was Antifa.

Or are you implying that Antifa and Democrats are one and the same?

No I actually can’t. They criticize current American policies. But actual anti American rhetoric? See if you can provide that. Trump said today that Omar said she loves al-qaeda. I challenge you to prove that one as well.
No, no... he said she loves "ALCaiDa". Remember, this stable genius is playing chess, while everyone else playing checkers.  :lmao:

Cut the media some slack.  It’s hard work refreshing your Twitter account every 5 seconds to find “real” news and “clap backs.”   You need to get out of bed to investigate this terrorist cell.

Because they are out screaming “abolish ICE” and saying they are running concentration camps.  They are 100% to blame here and saying they are not is disingenuous.  This was James Hodgkinson part 2.

Hint: It goes without saying this guy is a lunatic. Similar to the guy in Florida who drove the Trump van who sent pipe bombs to Dems last year.

He's supposedly "dumb" yet somehow he continuously pulls this off.  Forget the fact he won the Presidency after nobody gave him a chance.  I don't approve of all that he does, but to call him dumb is being pretty dismissive of the evidence.  Winning the Presidency isn't exactly easy to pull off.  He knows what he's doing instinctively in a political sense.  Yep, it's divisive, but it scores the points he's looking to score.  He needs a foil who he can paint as extreme, and there's none better for him than the likes of AOC, Omar, etc.
Yeah, I like how this guy that laid waste to the Bush/Clinton dynasties and humiliated the media empire is painted as some huge dumb ###.  Well he’s quick on his feet and knows how to play the game.  It might not make him a connected Yale grad but he’s no joke as a political savant.

Underestimate Trump at your own peril.

Easily more direct correlation between Dems and Antifa and groups attached to attacks on ICE than Republicans to Charlottesville.

He wrote "peopel"

COME ON
I can get past the spelling, the  notion of even writing it down to remember to bring them up even if he spelled the group name correctly is absolutely ridiculous.  And its not the first tome he has had little reminders for himself to work in some childish barb at someone.  Clear someone else writes his statements and his backtracking and he adds the little notes with his giant sharpie pen.

Very few Democrats are in favor of abolishing ICE, and very few are in favor of running concentration camps.

Did you hold President Trump responsible when a supporter sent bombs and death threats to leading Democrats? I didn’t. In fact I defended him here. Because I don’t believe that Trump ever called for violence against his opponents. And neither has any Democrat that I know of.
