Waiver Wire & FAAB Discussion prior to the Week 17 games (1 Viewer)

The Chiefs' starters are unlikely to play in Week 17 against the Chargers.

Head coach Andy Reid has a long history of resting his starters when his team can't improve their playoff positioning. Kansas City locked down the No. 1 seed Sunday with its lackluster victory over the Falcons. As head coach of the Eagles, Reid benched or limited his starters in Week 17 with nothing to play for. In 2017, Patrick Mahomes got his first pro start in Week 17 with Alex Smith held out ahead of the playoffs. Holding out KC's starters will have an outsized impact on the Week 17 DFS landscape. 2019 fantasy football tout legend Darwin Thompson could see major snaps against the Chargers.

In terms of what KC is doing,  D. Williams is an interesting player.  Will he be one of the sitters or will his superior play over Bell get him even more touches?

If you play week 17 I pity the fool.

The good news is it looks like you will get to play week 17 with little regret (except I bet some fools will still play into week 18)

Mason Rudolph? Saw Tomlin said Roethlisberger will sit week 17 but never saw anything about the wrs sitting.

Saints placed RB Latavius Murray on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Murray, Dwayne Washington, FB Michael Burton, and the Saints RB coach were all ruled close contacts of Alvin Kamara. It leaves the Saints with Ty Montgomery as their likely Week 17 starter. Taysom Hill also figures to have a larger role in the run game. Murray and Kamara both have a chance to return for Wild Card round.
