GM's thread about nothing (13 Viewers)

Good stuff, Bentley. I remember when Frosty's son went through some scary stuff. Now he pocket-dials me.** Amazing how resilient kids are.

** Boom King's kid does too.

FYI I'm calling for a jihad on New Otis. 100% done with his shtick. Sorry fellas. Find a new future presidential assassin to admire.
Not that I'm taking issue here, but I was calling for this about five years ago.
I'm not sure New Otis means what you think it means.Unless you were way way ahead of the curve.
What's your problem, Kazanski?
No problem at all, Hoiberg. Pointing out you may be mistaken, sorry.

Seems like Plumpers used to be a common magazine in the middle of the three pack. The really bad ones were the text only collections of erotic fiction.

Not at all a post to gain sympathy, but more of one of those "hug your loved ones":

Friend of mine was killed doing what he loved on Friday. Knowing this guy, this was the best (?) way he could go. For that reason, I have very little sadness other than missing him.

But it is a reminder of how life can be cut short at any time.

Holy crap. The whole side of his face is swollen. That's a hell of a punch landed by pops.

Awesome. That dad has to be feeling so great.

Met withe neuro just now. EEG and MRI were mostly clean so they are sending us home soon with a clean bill of health. Thanks for the wishes.
When my son was less than a year old, we were staying at my wife's aunt's house in Ohio. Everyone was out shopping or something and my son has an episode where he pretty much stops breathing. He turns all kinds of purple and I am absolutely freaking out. Don't know how to get to any sort of hospital and we call 9-1-1. Of course, by the time the ambulance arrives, he's returned to his natural color and is breathing normally. Nevertheless, we ride on to the hospital and get him checked out. He checks out top of the charts on everything and the doc looks at me like I'm crazy when I describe what happens. Sometimes these anomalies happen and never surface again. I hope the same holds for you and your son.Post-script: Two days later he had an unrelated explosive ####-fest in the middle of the Christmas midnight mass. I think he was just his way of dotting the I.
febral seizures suck. not because they cause any harm to the little ones (most don't), but because they are scary as hell to witness when it hits your young'un

Maybe I read that thread too quick, but what did he do to piss off Furley and (name forgotten)?
piss me off is strongi suggested that one of his blog posts read like a grocery store romance novel. he responded by saying, essentially, something about hiding behind my keyboard and not having the guts to say it to his face cause i'm afraid of getting punched and then one post later said he was quitting the cage cause he wasn't wanted:shrug:woz and ninja jumped to his defense. had no idea anyone else was going to jump in and take shots at the guy. now i read here that ninja is going off on him. i really have no idea what happened since yesterday'ish.i have no feeling about him way or the other.. beyond poking the guy cause he seems awfully sensitive.

I'll stay out of there moving forward. I wasn't going to be the guy to derail the thread, but since Tanner done kilt it dead I figured I'd pile on my two cents.

Can you PM me a link and recap? Not going to be able to catchup until Wednesday.TIA

If this is all about his crappy blog, FWIW I read like one entry way back when he first came. That's it.

So proninja thinks he's immoral.

Furley thinks he's a crappy writer.

Tanner thinks Tanner is grumpy and New Otis is getting too much attention, or wants too much attention, or is stupid. I know it's something like this, but frankly, Tanner's level of superior intelligence and textual sous conversation is beyond me. I think he's just grumpy. Also I read like half his posts so I probably just don't care enough about Tanner in that thread, unlike on FB or here. I still say Tanner is grumpy.

:lmao:

IIRC, proninja's in-laws are very active in the fight against the sex slave trade in Thailand and probably other countries as well.

Tanner = grumpy? When did this happen? He doesn't necessarily agree with a guy paying for handjobs (and maybe all the married guys in here drooling over him) and that makes him grumpy? Okay.

Never thought of Tanner as at all grumpy either. :shrug:Happy to hear the lil Bentley news! K4 checking in from Nicaragua from Mr. Krista's account. News flash: it's really freaking hot here.

TPW Bentley, you're at the best possible hospital.I was on a full-pay VP machine @El Cortez last night. Hit a royal. :excited:
How much cake did you rake in?
One grand. Quarter machine.
My personal assistant, that rarely gambles because her bum husband doesn't work all that much, hit 5k on a slot Saturday night. So her Mom went back Sunday and hit the RF on Let It Ride and won 35k. I can't tell you how happy I am for them. A lot of bad stuff seems to happen to them and deserve something like this.
As long as folks are in a thopra kind of mood... one of my best friends from HS is married to Olympic gold medalist Mark Lenzi. Mark had had some health issues lately, and apparently was admitted to the hospital after suffering fainting spells. He is now in ICU, and not expected to pull through. Positive vibes would be greatly appreciated.http://blogs.fredericksburg.com/newsdesk/2012/03/28/former-olympic-diving-champion-mark-lenzi-hospitalized/
:( Sorry to hear GB.Bentley, I'm glad things worked out for junior.

Couple of things, first, I was COMPLETELY WRONG on my charges of racism as to the reason I didn't get that project. I just happened to be in the area of their office today and popped in to say hello. It turns out she is just incompetent. Very hot, but incompetent. It will be interesting to see how things turn out for them. I don't wish them ill will but I'm not angry any more. Very hot. I almost leaned in to hug her when I was specing the building. :bag: Of course female clients hugging me isn't all that unusual....

I would also like to say that I am against human trafficking and sex slaves. I think that kind of degradation and humiliation should remain in the privacy of my bedroom.

This.I don't know if it's the unusually warm winter, or what, but that's the 3rd or 4th story I've seen of back country skiiers being killed in avalanches this year.

I just got a text that one of my really good friends had a heart attack and died today. he was 40.

Joel was the younger brother of identical twin sisters that I went to school with from the time I was in junior high. I got to know him really well over the last 20 years. He was a great guy, always cheerful and willing to listen to any problem you might have.

He played in our fantasy league for the last 15 years, and never missed our Vegas draft. Last time I saw him I took him to the Holiday Bowl in San Diego in December.

He felt sick and left work early today. He collapsed on the platform of the BART station on his way home.

Here's to you, Joel. You'll be missed.

thanks. this thread is so weird in that people share everything from laughs, triumphs and tragedies that things like that are bound to happen from time to time.

I couldn't find my power washer the other day and thought I'd misplaced it. THen I cannot find my compressor, I hire a lot of people around here and the list of suspects was long. We have a pretty secure property and were afraid it was not someone doing a day job, but someone familiar with the property and when we were vulnerable. We have security cameras around the property- the room containing the recording equipment- was locked form the inside and the jey was missing. When I finally got in there to retrieve the video, the recorder had been unplugged. We were getting pretty paranoid that it was an inside job, and all the people inside we trusted. So we had to examine who on the inside might have done it.
