This change is indeed unprecedented in the WSL Drafts, but it due in part to the time of the year that the drafts take place. There are so many question marks at the position and combine that fact with the meteoric rise in passing statistics, it seems like one of those things that should have happened a year ago.I have noticed that the top of the rookie draft polls has a similar outcome where Luck and RG3 are in the top five drafted where history sees few QBs being drafted in the first round, let alone the top of the first round. Will this focus on QBs maintain steam all through the off-season and into August when the 2012 Redraft leagues draft? Glad that I took Rodgers early, even though I had to give myself a talking to in order to do it. I might not have done it without the extra day when the board was down.4 QBs in a row going 5-6-7 & 8. ........The times they are a changin'
you ain't kidding Sniffer.....what a mess!!Not only are the QBs dominating, but the RB position is a freaking mess, committees, injuries (devastating ones too), and general suckitude of the position in general.
not at all.I think with the injuries to several key RBs and the top5 QBs off the board, the WRs all look the same and the RB position is a mess.I took Mathews because I love his upside and Im a homer and I expect his best season to come, and he will be a top10 pick in these next season. The second round has witnessed a nice RB run with 6 in a row taken now. Anybody surprised at the early drafting of some of these second rounders?Sproles, Lynch, Peterson, Mathews?
Thats who I was targeting at 2.7 before I switched to RB.Not happy about the 2nd Rnd RB run . Decided to swing for the fences and skip over the more obvious WR
Was hoping one of Eli or Romo would make it to me, but wasn't really expecting that to happen. So close though.Nice pick with Eli fiddles. Really wanted him there but I guess Romo isn't too bad of a fall.
You with Witten and the guy who got VD fell into some nice picks.boring, but solid:QB - Matt RyanRB - Ryan Mathews WR - Larry FitzgeraldTE - Jason Witten
10 QBs in the first 3 rounds certainly made some value slideYou with Witten and the guy who got VD fell into some nice picks.boring, but solid:QB - Matt RyanRB - Ryan Mathews WR - Larry FitzgeraldTE - Jason Witten
That was the main reason, but I have him behind Thomas and Lloyd anyway.Maclin was a steal, was eyeballing him at the bottom last round.I wondered why Bass didnt take him, but he already has McCoy and Vick, so too many eagles wouldnt be good fro bye week issues
empty backfield, I love it!1.07 Drew Brees QB3 NO: 2.10 Roddy White WR6 ATL:3.07 Aaron Hernandez TE4 NE:4.10 Marcus Colston WR20 NO/FAThink he resigns/tagged. Only 28. Liked getting him here. 80/1143/8 on 107 targets. And he missed 2 games and only had 1 reception first game back. After that he was a beast especially late in the season. Tough receiver. WR10 in points last year even with 2/basically 3 missed games. WR7 in points per week avg. 5.07 Steve Johnson WR26 BUF/FACould also get tagged, which might be best. 76/1004/7 on 134 targets. WR16 in points, WR24 in points per week avg, 11th in receptions. Solid WR3 in this format as can have some big weeks. Didn't like what was left at other positions here so locked up WR "starters". Could come back to bite me going this direction but I think after the top 7-8 or so RB's we are all going to be fighting for scraps/points at the RB position. Passing league.
I like this start Ref. You got a round value with picks 3-5. I considered Hernandez at the 2/3 turn. Colston is an early 3rd rd value, johnson late 4th.1.07 Drew Brees QB3 NO: 2.10 Roddy White WR6 ATL:3.07 Aaron Hernandez TE4 NE:4.10 Marcus Colston WR20 NO/FAThink he resigns/tagged. Only 28. No eventually he will get his computer and schedule sorted out...but I can always call him if necessary - he just picked in fact'Fiddles said:hook should i just pm you for rads picks?
Really? I have maclin infront of both of those guys, easily. I remember last year when everyone's slam dunk was DeAngelo going to Denver. I know Lloyd in NEpat land is a "foregone conclusion" but we will see. That was the main reason, but I have him behind Thomas and Lloyd anyway.Maclin was a steal, was eyeballing him at the bottom last round.I wondered why Bass didnt take him, but he already has McCoy and Vick, so too many eagles wouldnt be good fro bye week issues
Not in a best ball format.Way too early for Victor cruz... remember the stud on that team is still Nicks!!
I really don't care where Lloyd lands. He did well in STL in a bad situation getting dumped in their in the middle of the year. Denver wasn't exactly peaches and cream either. As far as Thomas goes, I just went with the more talented guy. I think Maclin was a great pick based on when he was taken. He does have some uncertainty too...is he better or worse with DJax there/gone?Another thing about Maclin that bothers me. In his big year he only broke 20 points in this format 4 times and only once this year. Lloyd did it 4 and 2 with inferior QBing and system. Thomas broke 20 points twice this year in a 1/2 season plus once more in the playoffs. Basically I have them in the same tier with Britt.Really? I have maclin infront of both of those guys, easily. There is a list of replacement folks in the sign up thread and I would think that someone there would be willing to "team" with you. Look at that list and see if you can contact someone who might could even include you via phone going forward.Good Luck on Friday!A reminder and not sure how out there will want to do this, but I have surgery on Friday and will need someone to finish my draft. I will pre draft my next 2 picks though with whomever from 2 or 3 will have to proceed. Sorry about this but was hoping we would get done but not going to happen.
Nice pickSo ADP tore his ACL&MCL and had surgery on new years eve.Toby gerhart filled in very nicely at the end of the year when ADP hurt his ankle. Im thinking good points early in season for him and maybe work in ADP after week 7??He went much earlier in other WSlsI could be totally over thinking it.
