*Official 2019 Philadelphia Eagles Thread* - Season's over; Go Away Now... (5 Viewers)

Sounds like mills and Darby will be back.  That's a nice shot in the arm.  Hope they are ready.  Hell of a first game to come back for

The more I read into this Josina Anderson BS, the more I think it's just made up. Two years in a row now, she comes out with an anonymous source the week of the Cowboys game. Right at a pivotal time in the season to get the most shock value and cause the most drama.

I realize all of this, but also think people put a bit TOO much credit and/or blame on the QB. Jets weren't even remotely competitive in Philly...game was a bigger blowout then the score. Woulda pegged the line as Philly -1 or -2...close still but just don't see a struggling Cowboys team with a gimpy WR as the favorite.
Collins, Smith, and Cooper all returning to the Cowboys this week.

Peters, Sproles, Bradham, Desean, all ruled out.

Gotta say Dallas is much healthier than us right now, hopefully doesn't come down to that.

A guy called WIP this morning and said he thinks it's Jason Garrett paying off Josina. :loco:
There was some speculation it is Jenkins. After that, guy called and referenced his previous comment of needing to simplify the defense which was apparently similar to something Josina's source said

Which doesn't make any sense because when has Jenkins not spoke his mind. If he has an issue, he lets you know.

Someone else also called up and chastised the hosts for speculating because now people will think they know something and it t is Malcolm.I'm still getting used to Philly radio.

I wonder how healthy all those dallas guys really are though.  They are banged up for sure

Don't get to caught up in it. The hosts are there to stir up trouble and the callers feed right into it for the most part.

Thought I heard Cooper was in serious doubt of playing?

Eagles supposedly offered a 1st and Agholor for Patrick Peterson.

Not sure what AZ would want with Agholor, TBH

G Cobb guaranteeing that the Eagles will trade for Chris Harris...
I think it shows more of our willingness to trade him. Also Fitz who knows how long he has left. Kirk is injured or has injury issues so hasn't been able to rely on and outside of those two they have a bunch of nobodies with Pharaoh Cooper as a Return Specialist.

Been thinking about it all week and my original assessment stands. If we win it says more about Dallas than it does us. We have a lot of flaws and with them having everyone available I can’t see us winning this game against a desperate Dallas team.

They have more available but who knows how fully healthy they are? I say we have more heart. And tonight, we take what’s left of theirs.

Who covers Cooper and Gallup? All week and I have no answers.
It doesn’t matter my man. I’ve never seen a quarterback get screwed harder by his receivers for at least half  a season that I’m seeing this year… Goedert’s just killed my optimism.

This is week 7. We just aren't a good team.

Which is fine, I feel like we have the necessary pieces to not suck. It' just gonna take some work during the offseason.

At least we aren't Miami.

We don't have to be great, just finish ahead of Dallas and still have them at home week 16. Not a great squad this year but you never know. I really thought we were loaded with offensive talent going into the year....man was I wrong.

Every ####### aspect of this game. Every single one. We were owned. Everyone would be fired if we didn't win a super bowl two years ago.
Yep. We are old, slow and outclassed.

Nothing else to say. We always overrate our teams and we did BIG TIME with this one. We are average at best and need a ton to compete.

Not listening to radio for a month. Just going to be non stop cowboy fans and I told you so eagles fans that called 7-9 records.

I couldn’t see 7-9. I was blind to it.

They were right though. We are old and slow all over. We suck at drafting and Wentz is not the guy who makes average receives great. We are not disciplined or opportunistic. Our defense is bottom 3rd talent wise and overrated.  We are a LOT of talk

Our HC comes out and says we will win and get SMOKED against an average team.

We are in trouble guys.

Waiting for Doug's press conference. No idea what to expect but if he gives vanilla answers and tries to get out of there the reporters better rip him hard

I shouldn't have watched the game. I haven't been this irrationally angry in awhile. I should have gone with my gut to not watch when it was 14-0.

They asked him righr away if he felt he was overconfident or regretted those statements and he said no... but not sure what else he's supposed to say there.

there are a lot of dumb questions asked at times. some sports reporters are so lazy. Hoping to get some kind of answer or something why the team allowed itself to get it's ### kicked all over the field.

He tried talking #### to help an average team. That’s rookie #### right there. You’re watching the Phillies after their WS right now. Time to watch an old team with no young talent for a few years.

if you lived closer to the city i could very easily be talked into going out and breaking something. My dumb ### bet too much on this game tonight too.  :censored:

Joel and Ben better beat the crap out of the Celtics on the 23rd

i'll give Zach Berman credit, he isn't let Doug off the hook with his "this one is on me, and we need to be better". really would love to know what the hell is going on to lose like that.

he keeps pointing to the turnovers, which makes some sense as an excuse, but why does the team not seem to care at times?

Doug is damn sure one of the problems. Stop trying to be the facking cool parent.

### ####, i should be a reporter. Reporter to Carson "Looked like you didn't have a lot of time today, was it tough?" No dude, was great. thanks for the great question

Yea - we relied too much on some of this talent left over from the Super Bowl run.  That was awesome.  But these guys need to go. Need to get a lot younger, and both these coordinators need to find employment elsewhere.

Glad we didnt trade for Ramsey now.  We're farther away then one player. This offense is slow, and Wentz needs to get more accurate.

if the team was fully healthy than i could side with you and bigboy. But it is hard to judge this team clearly with the amount of injuries they had. I think our DL would be studs if Jernigan and Jackson never got hurt. So maybe they need to get younger across the board, but if they avoid most of these injuries they are in a much better place.

give this team a healthy DJacks and one of those DTs and i would guess they would be 4-2 right now

Will having a healthy dline fix the problem that the secondary is among the worst in the league?
