I'll disagree here - Sanford isn't a very friendly spot. He's making some first downs. Obviously not his "best" game - but considering the circumstances this is really good. It's not Michigan.Book is not having his best game

Both teams are playing not to lose instead of trying to win. It’s weird. It’s especially weird to see Georgia doing it.Well the hell is with the rinky dinky passing attack? The protection is there. Push the damn ball down the field.
I fear its going to come back to bite ND. They've held up defensively, but its asking a lot. Both teams are playing not to lose instead of trying to win. It’s weird. It’s especially weird to see Georgia doing it.
Arkansas scores. We got a game.SJSU O-linemen just pushed the pile for literally 12 yards or so at the end of a run. Razorbacks look lifeless.
On the bright side, they did get a 1st downTime to go 3 and out again. Watch, first down they’ll actually try a fade to Claypool. Too little, too late.
This is the first and only time the Mustangs will ever be mentioned in this thread. This is like a car wreck. One of the saddest games I've ever seen, but I can't look away.
SJSU is 4-23 in the last 2 seasons, with wins over UNLV, Wyoming, and 1-AA Cal Poly
The talent differential is huge. I actually think Kelly did a decent job to have been competitive this far into the game.Ten years in and this is the best Brian Kelly’s offense is. It’s really unacceptable and the media should let him have it this week.
Tie game, inside 2 minutes, and San Jose State driving, at the Arkansas 20. Is it happening?Poor San Jose State
Touchdown Spartans!Tie game, inside 2 minutes, and San Jose State driving, at the Arkansas 20. Is it happening?
And Kelly has been the coach for 10 years. He’s literally recruited all of them. He has no running back, which especially would have helped this team this year. The talent differential is huge. I actually think Kelly did a decent job to have been competitive this far into the game.
Oh it’s happening.Tie game, inside 2 minutes, and San Jose State driving, at the Arkansas 20. Is it happening?
And Arkansas picked off on the first play.San Jose State just painfully choked away a 24-7 lead over the course of like 27 second-half minutes, got the ball with like 3 minutes left, and went 75 yards in 5 plays to take a touchdown lead at Arkansas with 1:16 left. Great game.
ND isn’t relevant anymore. Neither is Michigan for that matter. Nobody being recruited to play in these games remember any of the successes for those teams. They are the epitome of old guy football and they’re boring. It’s going to be hard to recruit with that perception. And Kelly has been the coach for 10 years. He’s literally recruited all of them. Replay is ridiculous. Wayyyy too many.Right foot lands. That's a catch
I agree with this. Kelly has done an amazing job with the limited talent that he has.ND isn’t relevant anymore. Neither is Michigan for that matter. Nobody being recruited to play in these games remember any of their success. Those two teams are the epitome of old guy football and they’re boring. It’s going to be hard to recruit with that perception.
Agree to disagree. ND was in the title game in 2012 and in the playoffs last year. Hell Charlie Weis recruited excellent at ND too. It’s the recruiting and coaching.ND isn’t relevant anymore. Neither is Michigan for that matter. Nobody being recruited to play in these games remember any of the successes for those teams. They are the epitome of old guy football and they’re boring. Isn't his main job getting the talent in the first place?I agree with this. Kelly has done an amazing job with the limited talent that he has.
I’d love to see it happen. When’s the last time ND beat a legitimately great team?ND has played a sloppy game tonight, yet is down just 6 at #3 Georgia. Seems like an odd time to make the relevance/talent argument.
Is it? I really don't know. Is the head coach the one out on the recruiting trail or is it more the assistants?Isn't his main job getting the talent in the first place?
Like Barry Switzer said, "It ain't the X's and the O's. It's the Jimmys and the Joes.Is it? I really don't know. Is the head coach the one out on the recruiting trail or is it more the assistants?

While playing in front of the largest crowd in Georgia history. Clearly they are relevant to someone.ND has played a sloppy game tonight, yet is down just 6 at #3 Georgia. Seems like an odd time to make the relevance/talent argument.
I'm not disputing that. But if you don't have the Jimmys and Joes and you're stilling winning a lot of game, that's some fine coaching.Like Barry Switzer said, "It ain't the X's and the O's. It's the Jimmys and the Joes.
And yet their highest recruit this year was 119 on the espn 300. Doesn't seem like elite players have any interest at playing at ND.They made the playoffs last year!
More precisely: top ten annually. Finished top ten twice in ten years. It isn’t the talent.Notre Dame has a top 10-15 recruiting class every year guys
They don’t play a conference title game. Their best win was over a team that finished 15th. They only beat 2 teams that finished ranked I’m not mistaken. They made the playoffs last year!
They get a lot of 3 and 4 star players but never any 5 star players. You need 5 star players to win championships.More precisely: top ten annually. Finished top ten twice in ten years. It isn’t the talent.
