TRUMP TO INFINITY AND BEYOND HQ - The Great and Positive Place (13 Viewers)

Wow.  Just got back from 36 holes today and am catching up.

It mind blowing and sad that the trump supporters in this thread will not acknowledge his overtly racist tweets today.  They are racist on their face.

I will happily recant and apologize when trump attacks a white congressperson by telling them to go back to the country they came from.

The reason no one is getting suspended is not because of some conspiracy favouring liberal (or non-Trump) posters.  It is because the tweets are, in fact, racist.  It’s not even debatable.   The “context” of the tweets only reinforces how racist they are.

Not only is this 100% true, the failure of Trump supporters to acknowledge his racism here is being mirrored by Republicans all over the country, including the cowards in Congress:

For the sake of our nation I hope the voters punish them. If they don’t we will have hit a watershed moment in a bad way.

This is getting ridiculous. I am extremely conservative and disagree with dems on nearly every issue, but at some point I’d rather have someone in the office that has different policy viewpoints than someone this hateful and confrontational. There are reasons to be tough on immigration and be the bad guy, but when he makes it so obvious that he LOVES that role, it makes it hard to know what is a necessary evil and what isn’t.

The General said:
The trump is healthy stuff has to be a joke so I’m just playing along.
But that works for EVERYTHING in here. For instance, in the normal world if anyone said "Trump is doing a good job" I would obviously think, this has to be a joke... but there are plenty of people in here saying things seriously that should be jokes.

I honestly don't think Trump knew where they were born, one was not born in the U.S. so maybe he was referring to her.
Thanks for the response.

>>Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.<<

He specifically referred to Progressive Democratic Congresswomen, plural.

It *sounds like you’re saying, like Birds, that Trump is ‘dumb’. The man has a vast reserve of information at his access. Ocasio-Cortez was born in the neighboring borough, maybe even a couple miles from where he was born to an immigrant mother himself. To accept your argument, and fine say you do, you must accept he is ignorant on a wide array of other subjects when he talks.

Warren's misleading Native American claims are disgraceful, even for American politics.

She has no chance at my vote.
If disgraceful actions remove people for contention of your vote, it's good to know Trump won't be getting your vote, either. He's had a greater number and greater severity of disgraceful actions than anyone in the history of American politics.

I think you and about 5 or 6 other posters here are like Drew Barrymore in the movie 50 First Dates.  You wake up every morning and it’s October 28, 2016.  The same shtick every day from the campaign comes up that most Americans have moved on from.  I know it’s being used to “point out hypocrisy” but it’s tired, old and ineffective.
Coming from the people who still reference Hillary's e-mails  :lmao:

But really, he's not rehashing these items to bring them to light - he's simply pointing out the hypocrisy, which you seem to have completely missed. This was his point:

but the hypocrisy is too thick for me to ignore when Trump supporters try to call her out ( or anyone) for lying or misrepresentation.

By courting the elusively exclusive country clubs of Western Pennsylvania, PA?

C'mon. They tore Romney apart and he didn't stage a puncher's chance among WWC (white, working-class) voters in WI, PA, MI, OH. Sometimes stats don't tell stories enough to draw inferences from.
Trump did do better in these states. This is arguably a false positive though. Trump did not fight back in the way of denying it, he fought back in the way of engaging in it. Trump's fighting back - aka lying, distorting, overall making stuff up - certainly didn't result in people disbelieving the stuff said about him. Quite the opposite, it got people who acknowledged these things to vote for him anyway. What is the ultimate conclusion here then? With Romney, the accusations of racism and sexism, it was false but overall and almost always with Trump it was true. Arguably Romney's 'fault' was in refusing to engage in it while Trump's advantage was in doing so full throttle, as he still is. 'Fighting back' is a cute euphemism for all this.

It is sad, but not mind blowing.  I'm not sure why anybody is surprised at this point.

It’s not going to work.

If a normal Republican (pick nearly any one of your major figures prior to 2015) were President, them maybe you could get away with this “look how extreme the Democrats have become!” meme. But with the guy you’re supporting it won’t work.
Only Trump's base buys into the Trump propaganda regarding socialism and extreme left views.  The dems just need to sit down and put forth a plan that's humanitarian yet doesn't support open borders and free healthcare for illegals.  If dems continue to push this position we lose in 2020.  Any kind of reasonable, well thought out, humane plan that maintains the integrity of the borders while not shutting off the US from brown people will be light years better than anything the racist (my opinion)  currently inhabiting the oval office will propose.

When I say he was dumb I mean there was a much better way to say what he was trying to say.  There was no reason to phrase it that way because it only gave ammo for the folks that already think he is a racist.  He was trying to make a point on policy in the U.S. versus other countries.

Agree to an extent, but I’m not fully convinced that supporting free healthcare for undocumented people will lose (no candidate supports “open borders”; that’s a meaningless term.) It will certainly hurt the Democrats. But I don’t think it’s a death blow by any means.

Last time around there was a flaw in the polling because a lot of people who intended to vote for Trump wouldn’t tell the pollsters. This time around I think we may see the opposite effect: a lot of Republicans who claim to be loyal to Trump are going to vote for the Democrat instead. They’ve had enough.

Which are the policy differences between kasich and trump that you dislike?
@HellToupee if this got answered I missed it. As one who is a registered republican, and who agrees that Trump is a dummy, I want to know why I’m so much in the minority of the right of center that is begging for a respectable and decent candidate to primary the guy who is taking the Republican Party in a horrible direction.

tim, I respectfully and vehemently disagree. If he's lost anybody, it's the WWC in the Rust Belt.

Dude, I can answer this so Hell doesn't have to. Trump's demeanor and stance on trade and abortion and gay rights are all more palatable to the electorate in the Rust Belt. Kasich is from OH, but he's still a dead duck up there.

Doesn't this unify the dems even more to defeat Trump? Graham says Trump should aim higher and thus far 4 Republicans have criticized him.

I’d like to thank all those that checked in to  :pokey:  and  over the weekend.  You helped push the Pro-Trump thread over 50 pages in less than a month.

Granted we are not growing at the pace of the Trump-hate and Russian farce thread, but it’s still a feat to be celebrated.

The tweets yesterday and the diatribe just now feels different to me. Even more than Charlottesville, for the first time Trump seems to be openly embracing white nationalism (rather than implicitly embracing it.)

No doubt his base will love it. But let’s see how the public reacts in general.

My feeling on this is that as dumb and horrible Trump is, each day he has to make it dumber and more horrible, so each day is dumber and more horrible than the day before. And so on.

GOP Rep. Will Hurd to @camanpour on Trump's comments: "I think those tweets are racist, and xenophobic. They’re also inaccurate. The four women he’s referring to are actually citizens of the United States...It’s also behaviour that’s unbecoming of the leader of the free world."

9:10 AM - 15 Jul 2019
Will Hurd has been a steadfast defender of Trump on the GOP side of the Nunes led House Intel Committee.

How many times do we have to go over this?  Trump hate isn’t enough to win the Democrats the election in 2020.  And lucky for Trump, the Democrat Presidential field is pathetically weak and the party is completely imploding.

True...which is why the candidates are talking about more than just Trump hate. Actual proposals about healthcare and immigration.  The field is not weak...but you know that too.

Wait, what!?  Why would this change at all?  In fact it has actually gotten worse since last time with Democrats harassing anybody who disagrees with them.  It’s basically the jonmax argument and why he left (rip good buddy),  normal people don’t want to put up with the crap the left throws around.  It’s why so few people that post here challenge anything from Team D.  They have better things to do with their lives.

Trump is behind in polling with the top 4 dem candidates.

Oh I know, and the Democrats showed their true colors in the first debate.  Gonna be quite a campaign ad next year with all those Democrat Presidential candidate hands going up in the air in support of free healthcare for illegals.

The Racist in Chief doubling down today because he knows his base loves it and the rank and file GOP politicians are too scared of that base to do anything about it.

America is so lost.

Edit: I see Tim already noted the doubling down bit.  Trump is a terrible person.
How do you feel about one of these 4 congresswoman who said she would impeach the mother ####er on day 1?  Would you agree she is a terrible person?
