Lots of Busio discussion today in the US thread and some diverse opinions as well. He should be fun to watch develop.I agree on the Busio take above - good, not great. Kid is 19 and I think would be a great backup at the 6 and even 8 to bring in some energy. I didn't see anything bad, but I think he looks better because of 19 year old legs and energy. He will get beat up pretty good against stringer teams but like someone else mentioned, he'd be free to roam when teams are chasing Pulisic and Reyna and bouncing of Dike..
At least in this half, they look much better than Haiti. They are going give the US a real hard game if the US meets them. They have been the front foot all half against Costa Rica.Suriname look pretty good so far.
Junior Flemmings. He played for the Phoenix Rising in USL and was putting up an MVP season (won Golden Boot) - you might remember an incident where a Rising player made a homophobic remark against a player on Landon Donavan’s San Diego team and they walked off the field. That was Flemmings who made the remark.
Yeah that was a weak red imo.He knew what he was doing I guess, but it wasn't much.
Dunno but that was aI love this kid on the right wing. where does he play?
Neither one of them is going to lay a glove on us without some crazy luck. I think the entire Confederation is down right now outside maybe Panama. Panama and Qatar might be the 3rd and 4th best teams in the tourney.great game.
I am going to regret this but I think I would rather play CR than Suriname.
I don't know if I am looking at the right player but I think he plays on some team called NK Dugopolje in the Croatian second division.I love this kid on the right wing. where does he play?
Also Canada is up, but for the injuries.I think the entire Confederation is down right now outside maybe Panama.
Problem is those goals aren't available for Sarge against the women's U9 Martinique team.Dinsy Ejotuz said:I'm adding Sargent over Dike to the list of starters that will cause Twitter to lose its mind.
Most of the goals Dike has scored (for Barnsley and the US) just aren't available vs good teams, so his ultimate talent level is still an open question in my book. Dike's a great story and he's a natural finisher, but, no-trolling, I'd still start Sargent and I bet Berhalter does too.
Having said, #9 is the biggest open spot on the team. RB and LB (whichever side Dest's not playing on a given day) are questions, but we have answers. Same with who partners with Brooks at CB -- we have a decent pool to pick from.
Just pummel them.If we end up playing Qatar, US needs to win like 13-0

Did you see the first goal? Slammed into the goalie and it looked like handball as well. These games are hard to take seriously, but I keep watching them.Qatar up 2 in this rivalry game with Grenada now.

The Honduras Qatar game should be really fun. Winner will advance, loser goes home assuming the result tonight holds.Group D is fun.
Really hoping Qatar don't advance.
Maddening. I know it was widely mocked at the time, but the MLS method of showing the game clock and giving the ref the option to stop the clock really did put an end to this stuff.that yellow.
Stretcher to go 2 feet off the field.
It’s the first goal of this clip.Did you see the first goal? Slammed into the goalie and it looked like handball as well. These games are hard to take seriously, but I keep watching them.
5:00estReminder that the US game today is on big boy Fox, not FS1
I came to post the same thing. Regular old non streaming or special package TV. Amazing.Reminder that the US game today is on big boy Fox, not FS1
I am not great at breaking these things down, but lets lay out what we know.footy friends ... looking at wagering on both to score this afternoon - very generous odds - Canada has been scoring well thus far, and Martinique snuck one by U.S. last out
i have checked their recent history vs each other, and 5 of the last 6 would've lost that bet, with 2 scoreless ties in there.
are we feeling this?
or will this be so tight that a 1-0 final seems most likely?
TIA ✌️
Thank god for DVR'sMy daughter’s birthday is today. Guess what time her party is?

*Canada appears to have a strong offensive game, that runs through Buchanan over lapping on the left. Cannon is our best defender and he is said to be healthy enough to play (whether he starts or not I don't know) and will match up directly with Buchanon if Cannon plays.
*However, Canada appears very vulnerable defensively. While they won both games handily, they gave up a ton of chances to both Martinique and Haiti. Whether the US can take advantage of this may be based on who GGG starts. We looked rather anemic against Haiti so if GGG trots out the same lineup again, I will be concerned.
* Canada can afford to keep the game tight, since a draw benefits them and not the US
