I hated Baccala (only because Steve Shirt-rippa is a hideous actor), but that was a great line.

His other great line was when Paulie came back from jail, and they played "his song" for him. Baccala was indignant.

"What the ####... why is this HIS SONG???"

Who was the worse actor? Schirippa or Van Zandt?
Those two and Big ####. Throw 'em all into a sack and pick out whomever you please.
Pastore wasn't that bad. And none of them can hold a candybar to Ginny Sack.
OH COME ON!!! :lmao:

That is absolutely cringe-worthy. His scene partner there isn't exactly Daniel Day-Lewis either.
Meh...he plays a big, dumb Italian guy pretty well.

And he was better in that scene than the other tub of antipasto.

"Hello, central casting? Yes, I'm gonna need a repulsive, portly, novice actor who has a lisp for a major role in a TV series."

No, you come on. Pastore wasn't that great of an actor, but how is that particular scene cringe-worthy ?

It was terribly acted?

In a lot of cases the bad acting made it seem more real. The way dialogue scenes were edited usually helped too. I don't know **** about editing but Mad Men has the same feel with cutaways and reaction shots.

"You're a twelve-stepper, right?"

"Yeah... you know that."

"Well maybe he could take another couple of steps out the f###ing door so WE can have some fun!"

If you somehow found Rosalie Aprile attractive, I would imagine that the pillow talk with her whispering sweet nothings would be a wood-killer.

She's got a deeper voice than Jonathan Banks... and that accent.

Is this the very first time Vito was mentioned? I know the actor who played Vito showed up as a different character earlier in the series but I think this is the first mention of the character Vito.
I think so.

That clip above was from Full Leather Jacket (ep. 2.08).

We first saw "Vito" in The Happy Wanderer (ep. 2.06). My favorite episode, incidentally.

And of course he's in the bakery in season 1 when Chrissy is waiting all day. But that wasn't as Vito I believe.

And why did Gino leave the bakery so willingly when Chrissy told him to? He had 400 pounds on him. Christufah wasn't brandishing a weapon at that point.

My fiancee had never really seen the show, so we are watching the whole series. Finished season 2 last night. Season 2 is so much better than 1 stylistically and the writing is much more sophisticated. A lot of pointless, obvious dialogue in season 1. Also a few continuity things: The feds play Tony a tape of his mother talking about him coming to dinner his bathrobe, but that happened in line at the movies. Also, Tony tells Livia that he sold her house, yet he still has it in season 2. (I suppose he may have been lying). And Melfi tells Tony that the cigarettes in her car are her son's, yet says he lives in a smoke-free dorm when she freaks out about the woman smoking in the restaurant.

Halfway through season 2, my fiancee said that she really wanted Richie to die. I resisted the urge to say "I've got some good news for you."

Re-watching, I also thought it was a little convenient the way that Tony suddenly realized ##### was a rat in the last episode. It would have been better to have a clearer action to re-arouse his suspicions.
