Cheap tactic having Sil saying in last weeks preview, "you've been playing both sides of the fence", but in the actual episode he says "he's been playing both sides of the fence".

Shame on you David Chase, I'll never watch a preview for a new episode again. I ask that all of you join this protest.

where is Raidernation?in mourning?
My guess is that he invited all of his family and closest friends and rented out a theater to watch the last 2 episodes. It takes a little time to get home after such a gala event. Give him time. honorable mention: He's out looking for Phil himself.

First - it was "when the music's over"

Second - I was on the edge of my seat for the last half of the show. Absolutely gripping drama.

Third - Somebody needs to whack Charmane (what ever the chef's wife name is). Cant stand her.

Fourth - AJ is a spoiled kid who would rather lay and bed & cry then sack up and take responsibility for his own life/happiness.

FourBth - AJ should have been tagging "blondie with the stems"

Fifth - We have seen the last of the FBI agent. Tony will not go into the program

Sixth - Either Tony or Phil dies. My bet is on Tony taking care of "our freind with the grey hair"

Seventh - I cant wait until next week. I hate that it is only one hour

I thought it was interesting that he was initially reluctant to tell Tony about the plans being made to take him out. Only after Tony guilted him a bit about helping him with the possible terrorists did he come forward with the info.

Right now, I am thinking that Tony will get to Phil first, but then Butchie and the remaining NY capos somehow get to Tony's real family, Carmela, for sure. Tony, having seen his whole crew and all or much of his real family wiped out, kills himself. The series will end with Dr. Melfi finding out about Tony's suicide. That is my prediction.

Last scene in the series is a seaweed covered, short of breath Big #### swimming out of the ocean and saying "Oof madone, I need a calzone!"

This is one of those episodes where I wish I actually took notes. So much to comment on. Stomach-tightening drama, as has been pointed out. Television rarely gets better than this, and if next week is even better, it'll be nuts.

- I'm assuming that the zips actually had the right house, and that Phil's goomah lives with her father who came home at an unfortunate time. Also assuming that Phil wisely changed up his routine, which had been visiting her every Friday. Am I wrong here? Did they flat out have the wrong address?

- Wouldn't a gun with a silencer have been a lot easier for Sil rather than garroting Bert?

- 2 GRAND A DAY for the looney bin??? :goodposting:

- Is there still any question that Agent Harris has developed a fondness for Tony? Sharing that information about the possible hit was more than just a payback for the terror-related information.

- Wish I could get an invite to that monthly "Dorky Shrinks" dinner party.

- Janice + High Definition = :X :X :X

- Agree completely that T's final session with Melfi was terrific.

- Carm hides AJ's belts and Tony drains the pool. :(

- Paulie: "Look at the stems on blondie" as Tony is literally running for his life. :lmao: :lmao:

- Tony hands Janice $5 towards Uncle June's housing fund. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

- If anyone was wondering, the title of this episode was "Blue Comet".... which was the name of the train set Bobby was about to purchase. Once again, Chase's titles mean absolutely nothing if you're seeking clues.

- Bing patrons and topless strippers fleeing the shooting was hilarious.

Here was the episode description TV Guide had for tonight, which I posted before the season:

Episode #8 (6/03/07) -- "The Blue Comet"Tony contemplates a difficult choice given by Carmella. A.J. inquires about going back to school. Agent Harris prepares for "Plan B." Silvio is demanding answers to a family crisis, but nobody in New York is in the mood for apologizing.
:goodposting: What a waste of time.

So any predictions?

Only one I have is what somebody mentioned earlier. I think the show ends with Melfi reading about Tony's death, shows sadness, fade to black.

Tivo's Description: "The allegiance of those closest to Tony is tested; a case of mistaken identity has serious ramifications."

Do the white shoes Syl wore(took) have any connection to the shoes at Johnny Sacs bedside when he died. Is there some mob movie reference that I don't get or was it just a pair of shoes he stole off a dead guy.

Episode #9 (6/10/07) -- "Chinese Lou"

Tony proposes the idea of wife-swapping to Artie. Jesus Rossi seeks treatment for his OCD. Paulie and Janice go dancing.

Fredo wore 'em.Richie wore 'em.

Paulie wears 'em.

I heard "He's..." in the previews. At least that's what I thought I heard.
That was his mom's house they went to at the end, right?
I thought it was Junior's place.Didn't they sell his mom's house?
I thought so? Am I crazy or was there a lifesize cardboard cutout of Sil in that house???
Is this a joke? I didn't notice anyone carry it in.
not a joke. who has this thing Tivo'd? Check the scene when they are in the livingroom.

It was, yes. It was a cardboard cutout of Sil doing his Michael Corleone impression. They brought it from the Bing as a tribute, I suppose.

Yea, they've made it a point to show these white shoes this season (every old dago has something similar - you should see my pap's closet). Sack had em and he died shortly after they showed them being cleaned. They made sure to show the shoes of the guy Sil killed tonight and they made sure to show Sil cleaning his own white shoes. Bobby didnt have white shoes on though and Paulie is still alive.

:) at some of the spoilers for this week. One had AJ being kidnapped by NY after the previews supposedly showed him in a car trunk while another had him escaping from the hospital with the previews showing him in a dumpster (he jumped from a window and landed there). Turns out it was his own closet floor.

Just re-watched it. It is 100% Sil doing the tribute. They didnt bring it in though. It was already there. Whose house is this???

Oh, and how unprofessional was it for Melfi's therapist/colleague to all but tell the other dinner guests the name of her patient? There is no way he would do that.

Runner up best line of the night: "Uncle Bobby's dead? This is really depressing to me."

But, the best line of the show wasn't spoken, it was the cutaway shot of the sign:

"Flatbush Bikini Waxing"

:loco:

Anyone think the last episode will have some sort of terrorism connection? That keep going back to that well either with the FBI or just "random" instances like when Tony eyed the labtop to see the terrorism headline.
Anyone? They kind of are beating us over the head with this.

Only "disappointing" thing if you can call it that was I thought when Tony said to get our Italian cousins, Furio was coming.

The last scene in the previews, where Tony's in the SUV with one of his guys, looks like he's waiting to waylay somebody. Like Phil. That would be cool. Tony and Paulie taking out half a N.Y. family would be awesome. Not that that will happen, but I can dream.
