Random thought: Why would Phil and his crew pick Bobby as the #3 instead of Paulie. They even mentioned he once was Junior's driver, how could he be #3.No mention of Paulie at all at that conversation. I believe Paulie has been playing both sides for a long time.Paulie will wack Tony, or attempt to.
That would suck. Tony had his chance to whack Paulie when they were out on the boat a few episodes ago and decided not to.

In the episode where Paulie and Tony go to Florida, how many pairs of white shoes did we see of Paulie's in his closet and being packed? How many people have been killed since then? (i'm hypothesizing that the number of shoes and deaths will be the same)

who was the guy Sil wacked in the beginning? I don't recall him from anything before.

I just hope Meadow shows her nipples. if she does, i'll be happy

at first I thought everybody was being anal about the shoes, but Chase keeps showing them, so they clearly have some sort of meaning.

This is one of those episodes where I wish I actually took notes. So much to comment on. Stomach-tightening drama, as has been pointed out. Television rarely gets better than this, and if next week is even better, it'll be nuts.

- I'm assuming that the zips actually had the right house, and that Phil's goomah lives with her father who came home at an unfortunate time. Also assuming that Phil wisely changed up his routine, which had been visiting her every Friday. Am I wrong here? Did they flat out have the wrong address?

- Wouldn't a gun with a silencer have been a lot easier for Sil rather than garroting Bert?

- 2 GRAND A DAY for the looney bin???

- Is there still any question that Agent Harris has developed a fondness for Tony? Sharing that information about the possible hit was more than just a payback for the terror-related information.

- Wish I could get an invite to that monthly "Dorky Shrinks" dinner party.

- Janice + High Definition = :D :D :X

- Agree completely that T's final session with Melfi was terrific.

- Carm hides AJ's belts and Tony drains the pool.

- Paulie: "Look at the stems on blondie" as Tony is literally running for his life. :o :pickle:

- Tony hands Janice $5 towards Uncle June's housing fund. :pickle: :pickle:

- If anyone was wondering, the title of this episode was "Blue Comet".... which was the name of the train set Bobby was about to purchase. Once again, Chase's titles mean absolutely nothing if you're seeking clues.

- Bing patrons and topless strippers fleeing the shooting was hilarious.
Some good stuff here! Even funnier were the "oohs"and "ahhs" from the crowd watching the motorcycle guy wipe out.
The guy who writes the column for the Star Ledger pointed out that they're the equivalent of the people who just watch the show for the whackings. :wall:

why in the heck would Sil have his gun in a bag in the back seat.

Paulie has been on the NJ/NY fence for awhile now, he and Johnny Sac were tight. He'll save his own #### first

Isn't it amazing the difference something as small as a nipple can make, you can see all the clev in the world but it doesn't mean squat unless you get to see some nip. It's the good lord's world and we're just living in it. . . .

For a brief 2nd, I thought there was going to be a shootout at the restaurant when T went over to talk to Mangini. How sweet would it have been to have the Jets HC get whacked?

Paulie was in charge of the hit on Phil, right?any chance he intentionally gave the wrong address?
There's a decent amount of history with Paulie kissing NY's ###, and he certainly is me-first and could see the ship sinking. Still would be surprising to see him kissing Phil on the cheeks next week though.

I think it was the correct address for the goomar, but Phil wasn't there. The father was there.Phil was already in hiding. And Paulie looked seriously distressed when he saw in the paper that they killed the wrong guy.

I thought it was Bobby B's job to get it done.
he gave it to paulie who gave it to patsi.
Which spoke directly to what Phil was saying during his meeting - that NJ had too many mid-level management and was top heavy filtering the cash flow. This episode really pointed out how dysfunction Tony's "family" is. The entire season has been about both his families being dysfunctional, from his dad shooting through his mom's beehive to this.

Did they supply an address? Or just find a clown that looked like Phil. Seems weird that was his mistress and her dad if the dad looks very similar to Phil. Do we know for sure that was his mistress?

20 bucks says we won't be seeing that again. It's not scarface.
Paypal then?
you quez?
Yeah...send the money.
you wait on that.

think they mentioned later in the show that it was phil's goomah that was killed. they just got the wrong guy.

Why on earth do they know they've had the targets placed on their backs and it takes so long to get out of town....even after they've made the decision to go after Phil. Goofing around at Tony's house, at the Bing, the train store. I'd have been a hell of a lot more careful.
I think things like that, and especially Sil being half-assed about it leaving the Bing after Tony telling him to have eyes in the back of his head, were to show just how “small-time” the NJ family is, compared to the NY families. It just drives home the whole point of what Phil was saying about them being a glorified crew. So not only are they the underdogs, a majority of the audience is now “rooting” for Tony, who is in reality a horrible and despicable person. We all want the “bad guy” to win.
Didn't Bobby miss the call, with the phone ringing in his coat in the car?

I still highly doubt he uses it. Just never been the style of the show.
It would be a major dissapointment at this point if he doesn't.

Can someone please post a link to the picture of Meadows BF's father. My cousins ex-gf is related to the guy, but I can never seem to picture the guy when he explains who he is.

isn't it Patsy Parisi?http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patsy_Parisi

actor's name is Dan Grimaldi.

Dan Grimaldi is an American actor who is known for his role as Patsy Parisi on the HBO TV series, The Sopranos. In addition to his role on The Sopranos, he has also had some minor film credits and some other guest TV appearances, including several episodes on Law & Order. He also voices 'Frank' for the bestselling computer game Mafia.

Despite the fact that Dan is often cast in "tough-guy" roles, he is in fact highly educated: Dan holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Fordham University, a master's degree in operations research from New York University, and a Ph.D. in data processing from the City University of New York.[citation needed] Dan is part of the famous Grimaldi family.[citation needed]

Dan Grimaldi teaches courses at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn, New York.[citation

Great, great episode.

The only gripe I have is that one of my favorite characters, Sil, didn't get a worthy exit. Perhaps he'll reappear somehow in the final episode...?

I don't think so, Cap. It was mentioned to Patsi that "the lady friend got in the way"... but that was when they all believed that it was indeed Phil who got whacked. I still believe (as I pointed out in my original long-winded post last night) that they did indeed have the right house - only Phil was in hiding - but I am still not 100% certain that was Phil's goomar. Are you positive they mentioned Phil's g/f got whacked AFTER they realized the mixup?

I want Tony to go out big, Scarface style. Just MHO. :) You can't just show that thing the episode before last, and show him going to sleep with it, and not show it in the finale.

I thought the scene where Bobby got whacked was very reminiscent of "Of Mice and Men."

He's the big nice guy. He gets whacked while dreaming of this great life that can't happen.

Sounds like a smart dude. And part of THE Grimaldi family too. Pretty cool.

There was never any mention of it. The only mentions of Phil even having a mistress was when the kid called Patsi to tell him and asked "You ever see Phil with a gooomah?" and Patsi replied "Once maybe", then the kid asked if she spoke Ukranian....then Paulie mentions to Sil (after he tells him that the love interest got it the way) a girfriend of Phil "From the 'Jersey Boys' party"...she caused a drink f'n scene there. Other than that, no mention of it.

I was pretty disappointed that Furio didn't come back.
Didn't Chase and the actor playing Furio have a falling outI would imagine that is why we have not seen Furio
Didn't Tony kind of find out about him and Carm, he's persona non grata in the US? His Wiki page says Tony "still has men looking for him".
