At this rate, he might not get off the bench.
I'll take the Willian assist...  and no CS for TSS/Keita...  there's still hope...  (for my fantasy team only)

Edit:  At least initially no assist for Willian.  Good grief.

That's what I was thinking before the Giroud goal - no way they play him down 3-0.
Me too, but now I think they need to bring him on at the half.  Mount and Willian have both been terrible so at the very least I'd put him in for one of them, but I'd sub out one of the defenders, switch back to a 4-3-3 and give it a run.

Chelsea looked really good with their shape and were dictating the game, but the final ball was routinely weak. and with the high line Liverpool were playing, Giroud's been great, but he isn't the guy to break that down showing for the ball and playing one touch passes to Mount... and they kept trying to play the ball square or to Giroud's feet at the mid-stripe instead of taking a chance and slotting the ball behind the defenders to one of the wide players. and then... liverpool just punished them on every off chance. 3 goals seems an unfair scoreline given how both teams played, but that's what you get with players that good. willian's looked tired today with his touches and Mount continues to be up and down with the final ball and decision. if this was a game to win, CP should've been in there.

I forget - does 3rd avoid qualifying?

Man, if Wolves had 1 or 2 more points then Sunday would get even more nutty.
It's still hugely important for them.  If Arsenal wins the FA Cup, they'll get that third Europa spot, so 7th would be outside looking in.  So, they'll be super motivated to win to stay ahead of Spurs.

I think some of the comments I've seen on twitter are from people who forget that LFC are actually a pretty good team this season.  It's no mistake that Chelsea sit 30 points behind them in the table.  A couple screamers and some less than stellar defense for CFC is the main difference so far.

UPDATE: West Brom is back in the Premier League

ETA: One of Brentford, Fulham, Cardiff, or Swansea will join them.

Right, but I'm just saying the two spots could be up for grab among 4 teams.  Chelsea and United fans can't be super confident.

good lord.. LFC sooooooo good.
and shows just how big the gap is.

they have a bunch of guys who will just kill you on the slightest slip- who aren't inconsistent with their final ball and touch.... not just one or two guys. Chelsea have some guys and are obviously a good team, but the consistency isn't there, and the tactics don't always fit the players. and can't be ignored that this same LFC group of players have been together for a while now

I think Chelsea and United are guaranteed no worse then 5th.  Although Wolves could level on points, GD will be hard to overcome, so Leicester looks no worse then 5th
Yep - I'm strictly talking about confident about CL spots given how today has gone and who they are playing.  Even though you would expect Leicester and Wolves to have some pressure on them I'm thinking both play fairly lose and feel like they have nothing to lose.

right.  Wolves Chelsea and Leicester United.  This could definitely get interesting.

I hope Liverpool win, but that Chelsea get to 4-3, so that Lampard has to answer questions about leaving Pulisic on the bench to start the game.

Luton Town survive relegation despite having a - 28 GD and spending most of the year in the relegation zone.  Charlton, Wigan, and Hull were relegated to League one... Wigan by way of points deductions.
