Having a centre back pairing of ex-Blades was always going to cause a calamity at some point, only a surprise it took that long to come to fruition

LP scraps back for a 2-2 draw with AV in the EPL

Madrid is about to knock City out of the CL (up 6-3 on aggregate, 94')
PSG puts 7 past Brest for a 10-0 aggregate
Dortmund are through after a 0-0 draw with Sporting.

PSV and Juve 3-3 on aggregate in 93'. Going to extra time?

Great first half by the Toffees! Tied with Arsenal for the best record in the EPL over the last five matches, and looking good again today. Hopefully they can hang on and continue this amazing run under Moyes.

(p.s. Roma with the best record in Serie A over the last five matches as well. It’s been a really good month!)

Just the casual 0-0 at half time with neither keeper making a save into 6-2 at full time, also with neither keeper making a save, at least one where the rebound wasn't immediately buried

Arsenal proving once again that the "AAGGGHHH JUST SHOOT ME NOW, WE DREW A GAME -- OUR TEAM WILL NEVER WIN AGAIN AND THE OTHER TEAM WILL TAKE THREE POINTS IN EVERY REMAINING GAME!!!" subset of fans is never, ever right.

Ashley Young, once a diver always a diver. Even at United he was a diver. And even with his shirt being pulled he dove.

That first half was hard to watch. Hojlund and Dalot were horrible. Not sure how Maguire gets beat in the air for the goal.
Zirkzee was solid through the middle, poor in front of goal.
Dorgu looks good.
Casemiro is old and slow. Needs to go to Saudi.

Yup, Liverpool aren't being chased by prime City. Those years of needing to win every game were the aberration

When the season is over and TAA exits, you'll never in a million years convince me his head didn't leave the second he knew he was on the way out. He has been awful in a long run of games now.

Doku & Associates have gone past him like he wasn't on the pitch 5 times in about 20 minutes.

A right back who can't defend is repeatedly getting skinned when playing against a team that is hoarding all the good left sided forwards? I'm shocked!

Sure, Doku is amazing. But there is just zero resistance from TAA. He can't do anything.

ETA: he can't even get close enough to foul him. Bradley can't get on soon enough, up 0-2.

In the interest of fairness... Szoboszlai is offside and City's LB is intentionally playing him off as Salah makes the run in behind both of them. Hate that rule so much, even on goals that clinch the league for Liverpool.

From the twitters..,,
Most times dribbled past in a Premier League match this season:

◉ 7 - Trent Alexander-Arnold vs Man City (A)
◎ 6 - Trent Alexander-Arnold vs Man City (H)

It’s only half-time. 👀

It's not just City though, it's been just about everyone going past him for the last 6-7 matches he's played. That's what prompted the outburst from VvD a few weeks ago for example, TAA was constantly either out of position or getting beat by high-school level stuff.

What a performance. Been awhile since they looked that composed.

Nice to see the away fans chanting "we're going to win the league" right on cue. I think they're right.

What a week for Leeds (LEEDS LEEDS) two come from behind wins in a week against top-4 teams... including what wound up being a thumping of Sheffield United today. WGUAFC!

I listened in to the 1st half and sounded like they were getting over run despite it only being 1-0 at the half.

Amazing they got the win.

Sadly, Aaronson got the hook as first sub before they made their run to the win.

they finished the 1st half with something like, 65% possession. The first 20 minutes were rough for them though. Aaronson ran himself silly today, but the sun wound up paying off.

We were battering them for 25 minutes but then took our foot of their throat and started making nonsensical subs that cost us the game

Now that I think of it, I stopped listening before the half... and obviously missed the 2nd half of the 1st half turnaround. Barely heard Aaronson's name.
