VAR sucks. Don't turn the beautiful (but sometimes incorrect) game into the NFL.

I don't understand the obsession about being "right". Leave the human element in and let the players celebrate when the ball hits the net.

Soccer has few enough goals as it is. Now we're losing goals because a guy was a milimeter offside via a freeze frame replay? Give me a break.

And this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I started Gabriel Jesus in the fantasy league this morning if THAT'S what you're implying

Couple of offside goals for Barca vs napoli.

Not the third just now though by Suarez. Class.

Strange to me that teams are still in the US this late.

Yea

I always loved how soccer handled VAR this seems like NFL madness
Yeah. Shouldn't be used to fine-toothed comb find stuff just in case something/anything possibly may have happened. Should be used because an official thinks they saw an infraction that the ref missed. Otherwise...let them play

Was a borderline starter/primary sub at Dortmund and stepped up a class moving to Chelsea -- so not completely unexpected, but pretty much worst case scenario playing out here.  He needs to be playing massive minutes at his age IMO.

Watching most of Leicester v. Wolves - two teams trying to take a step up, but I am not sure they will this season.

I really like what Wolves have done since gaining promotion - they are a good team.  But, you can see the impact of Europa on them already (they played most starters on Thursday) - they look like they have very little energy.  I think the lack of depth is going to hurt their chances of moving into the top-6 this season, and could even slide back towards the bottom of the top-10.

Leicester, at home, have not been able to take advantage - and relied on VAR to keep a goal out.

Sucks that CP isn't starting.

Excited for the start of the season as always - United have huge expectations every season but for me my expectations are very low so it'll be fun if they can overachieve.

I like the 2 new defensive signings but I don't see where the goals will come from.
