Good Ebening everyone.  Gonna be hard for these two to give us as exciting of a game as yesterday's, but I'm hoping for great things still.

CONCACAF craziness never lets you down!

Seattle down 2-0 in second half, grabs one back on a PK.

And then the ref had the STONES to call a second PK for Seattle that resulted in the tying goal for Seattle in the 100th(!!!!!!!!!!) minute of play.

Just nuts.

2-2 going back to Seattle next week.  Away goals are not in play.  Who ever wins that game win the title.   If it is a draw then it goes to extra time and eventually PK's.

Seattle had the better chances in the game as well.   xG was 2.5 to only 1.2 in Seattle's favor.

If they can play this way again next week, they have every chance to finally win the CCL Championship.

I watched the last round of games for both teams. Pumas were the worst of the teams I saw. A bit of a mess, shapewise and giving up lots chances...but obviously have some quality up front to finish their own chances. I was surprised they got past Cruz Azul who were better top to bottom.

Amazing Seattle came back last night, especially with that late PK. Everything I've seen, they seem the better side...really hoping they can pull this out for MLS sake.

I'm an Inter fan... but  ... what a way to crap the season away. GO BIG OR GO... DO WHATEVER INTER JUST DID
Ridiculous howler but who does a throw-in to the keeper in that situation?  You have 9 actual football players who can play the ball under pressure.

I agree.  I have no idea how Pumas has made it this far.   The Revs choking obviously opened the door but they are not having a good club season at all.

Rudiger is the Diego Costa of defenders, always getting away with things...
he could've been yellowed any number of times... that high kick

matic with some nice back massage for James.. and then tugging him around- no happy ending there.

united... it's crazy to see them look so consistently mid-table, quality-wise. it's like watching pretty much anybody- Palace, Southampton, etc.

Seems to be the same story every game with Rudi.  When he was being linked with United (everyone is at one point or another), my thought was he won't be getting away with his shenanigans if he did move there.

United players do not care.  And they play like individuals, not a team.

And at this point there is no reason to play any player that is leaving: Pogba (if not injured), Lingard, Matic, Mata.  Heck no Jones either.  Play the kids.  Give more than 2 mins to the Argentinian Messi Alejandro Garnacho.

That was the most lopsided 1-1 game I have seen in a long time.

Reece James must have produced a season worth of stats in that game.  He had about a million touches.
I think he's the perfect RB for today's game.  Not quite the attacking talent of a TAA, but he's close and his defense is just unreal.

I was working and watching at the same time, but it seemed Rashford doesn't make things very difficult for the opposition wide players to get forward and have some fun.

He has only made things difficult for himself lately.  He hasn't been a threat going forward or in behind.  He hasn't been tracking back much.  He is so far out of form...

That's a good point.  He's not the same player he was 2 years ago.  There was a point that I thought he was going to be one of the best players in the league.  I don't think that anymore.  Still, Reece was excellent and was a whisker away from winning this for his team.

I've been thinking about this all season.  He has played with pain for two years.  Goes to the Euros, putting off surgery.  Plays sparingly, gets subbed in as a right back so he can take PKs, misses and takes abuse.  He then goes for surgery and misses the first few months of the season.  Enter Ronaldo.

Maybe its fear of the pain coming back.  Maybe its loss of confidence after all that summer turmoil. Maybe its inability to deal with one of the strongest personalities in the game in Ronaldo.  Maybe its the crap season.   Something just isn't right with him though and I hope he can find it again.

What a performance in the second half, I'd have been at Loftus Road tonight but for no realistic way back up north either tonight or tomorrow, barring really, really weird results we have bought ourselves a lottery ticket to get back up to the Premier League

looks like Balogun and Boro are on the outs.

Lack of proper coaching and training IMO. I think he will improve under Ten Hag, for England, but not for United. Unless he has forever priced himself out of a move to another club, not sure he'll fully realize his potential. It's a shame, as he is one of the few likeable characters on that team.

I only saw the 2nd half, but credit to Newcastle for going for it vs Liverpool.

and while I was hoping they would tie ONLY because I'm hoping Leeds/Marsch/*Aaronson-from-the-Future* can take a point or more from MC so their chances of staying up improve... and I am loving this title race and want it to stay close (but again, want Leeds to get a result)

They pressed hard and outside City I don't remember the last time a team tried to do that.  Great tactics from Howe IMO -- Fab, Thiago, Salah and TAA out, in-between CL semifinal games, 2.5 days after the last one.  Would have been easy for Liverpool to slip a notch.

But in the end they dominated that one.  Comfortable win even with the scoreline.

7 wins from immortality, 3 losses from historic disappointment.

ETA:  xG was something like 2.1 to 0.3.

Yeah...didn't seem likely that NU would score (although, 0-1, you never know) and LFC firmly in control there. It was more likely to have been 0-4 than 1-1. I just liked that NU didn't bunker and hope for a break. They pressed high up the field the whole second half and did all they could to go go for it.

And I loved Burnleys fight to get out of the drop...but at the end of the day I want US associated Leeds to stay up. So I'm officially of the Burnley bandwagon, one week into it.

They won't die.  Down 1-0 late they just scored twice to take the lead.  If they win, this puts massive pressure on Leeds who have a murders row of games coming up.

Some physical play at Goodison. Chelsea with 3 of 5 YC at half.

Looks like the pushing and shoving has gotten to Havertz.

Everton made it the game they needed it to be... Chelsea helping that along.

deserved lead, tbh. so far, Chels don't look likely to do much here.
