Don Carlo has another CCL!!!!! Real Madrid and Milan Connections. Carlo Ancelotti beats Liverpool in Champions League final with Milan and Real Madrid. Luka Modric grew up as a Milan fan, Eduardo Camivinga was once linked to Milan. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Diego Lopez, KAKA, and most recently Theo Hernandez have played for both Clubs. Milan still the only club with 7 CCL Titles.

Don Carlo gets the Trophy with the Big Ears and his former club win the Scudetto. Successful season right there. Oh yeah and Liverpool blew it twice in less then a week. Both won their respective leagues with the Same Record too of Ws Ls and Ds

I still don't understand why the first goal was not allowed in the first half.  I have watched the replay a hundred times and Benzema was onside at the moment the foot touches the ball for the initial long ball (you can stop the replay at the exact moment).

Was there another reason beyond offside?

24 shots to 3 is going to sting for a while.

At least the goal was a no-doubter and clean as a whistle.

Great season.  If people want to set the standard at "Liverpool are so good they have to win three trophies or they've failed," I'm OK with it.

He's off by quite a bit -- his back foot is on the six-yard box.  The question is whether Fabinho meant to play the ball or not.  Opinions differ.

Micah also calling out TAA on the goal but the crazy thing is how that pass threaded diagonally through that group of defenders. He may have lost track of Vinny but I’d never expect a pass to get through to him in that position.

Either a great pass or a bit of fortune -- not much you can do if a ball is hit with that kind of pace and comes through so many people.

In last 21 years, La Liga teams have played 17 Champions League and Europa League finals against non-Spanish teams. And won all 17.

It was almost assuredly a shot that turned to gold for RM.

UEFA statement claiming fans were trying to use fake tickets to get in which caused all the problems.  Sounds a bit bs to me (even if there were probably a few trying with fake tickets).

In my lone experience getting tickets in Europe, I couldn't believe the hoops to jump through. There's a lot of scammers, and a big group of those fans got hoodwinked out of 2 grand each, I would bet.

How about, “Zero goals scored in three cup finals but they still ended up with two trophies.”

@BrianSciaretta: The “Richest Game In Football” kicks off at 11:30am EST between Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town. From an American perspective, Ethan Horvath & Alex Mighten on the bench for #NFFC. Duane Holmes on the bench for #HTAFC. The winner goes to the Premier League

Horvath on for an injured Samba. Oh boy … unreal pressure.

England down 1-0 to Hungary in Nations League play.
I chaperoned at floppinhas 5th grade school camping trip at a local camp. Most of the camp counselors were from the UK and talking a lot of stupid #### about how easy England's group is. I reminded them of the last time the two teams shared a group.

Eta...WC group, obviously.

Tenerife is playing leg 2 of their promotion playoff semifinal against Las Palmas. Tenerife have a 1-0 lead going in. Shaq Moore is starting and it’s on ESPN+.

So I guess no one wants to talk about England being in last place in their group in Nations League after 4 matches without a single win yet.. They just lost 4-0 against Hungary.

France similarly in last place in their group without a win after 4.

And for the US, Wales also in last place in their group.
