2 Round Mock--Everyone is invited (Need someone for Green Bay) (1 Viewer)

Bump

Thanks for updating guys. I will be gone until about noon tomorrow. If no pick for TB by 9-10am, then anyone can go ahead and make the pick so we can try and finish this tomorrow. Will have a 1 hour timer on each pick starting at noon tomorrow and I will be making the picks unless someone else who reads this wants to put one in. Feel free to just make them or PM me what you'd like.

Well, we've waited long enough on TB I think. Work's getting busy for me, so I need to stop paying attention to this. :football: Let's just treat it as them burning their 15 minutes and pass them up. I don't know enough about what they could use/need so I don't feel comfortable making the picks. If someone else wants to jump in here and do that, fine, but Pittsburgh is picking.

Who I would take: Well, the gamble in round one paid off. I took Groves with the feeling that an equally talented OT to Cherilus would be available in two. Turns out I was correct(thankfully). At this point, I'd take Carl Nicks, OT, Nebraska.

Who I think the team will take: Since they addressed OL in round one with Cherilus, I could see them going a couple directions here. DL(DE especially) is another glaring need. Another CB wouldn't be a bad idea either. However, when Aaron Smith went down last season the front seven almost automatically started giving up large chunks of rushing yardage. With that in mind I think they'll grab Dre Moore, DL, Maryland with the intent to make him a 3-4 end.

Round One who I'd take: Quention Groves

Round One who the Team will take: Gosder Cherilus

Round Two who I'd take: Carl Nicks, OT, Nebraska

Round Two who the Team will take: Dre Moore, DL, Maryland

I am confused. I was sent a pm that I was up at pick #55 but the first post doesn't show the picks. Please someone update the picks somewhere and lets slow down for a minute and figure out a plan rather than just skipping someone..

Titans

WHO THE TEAM WOULD PICK

straight BPA - Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma

The team planned on going DLine with this pick but can't pass up a WR they thought about taking in first round

(see last year pick where they didn't need a RB but too Chris Henry in second because they almsot chose him in the first over)

yes, i know that is two WR in 2 rounds which is a virtal impossibility (Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly) but they are an X and Z receiver so they fit with each other and they fit the openings at talent on that team - no more excuses now for Vince

WHO I WOULD PICK

thinking about adding hometown sensation Earl Bennent WR Vandy, but in the end DLine has too big a need so I choose

Clint Avril DE Purdue

He is the fastest DE in the draft (4.51) and has the frame to add weight to better stop the run

in this draft Tiatns end up with Sweed and Avril

Last couple days I've been trying to keep the picks updated. Picks are updated on page 5 through the Titans. Someone else need to take it over though, as I'm about to go AWOL for meetings.According to gianmarco, the "plan" was that if TB hadn't picked by 9:30 or so this morning anyone could make the pick. Anyone still can. I just didn't feel comfortable making it for them since I'm not even a peripheral Bucs fan. It's just like missing your pick in the real draft. The card can be taken up anytime if someone wants to make the Bucs pick.

2.24 Dallas Cowboys via Seattle

Who I would pick for the Cowboys - Jamaal Charles, RB Texas.

Charles would be a nice compliment for Barber and represents good value in my opinion. I was hoping Tyrell Johnson would be available here but was dreaming. The Cowboys getting Charles and an 09 first round pick for Johnson (who I would have taken at #28 is a major coup.

didnt update this one above because i thought we'd wait on coinciding Seattle pick so we wouldn't get ahead in one draft and have people having to pick at different times

Hey all......ok, finally back in town. Need about an hour or so to get settled and will go back and try and update the 1st page and sort out who's up and where we are. Seems we have 9 picks to go. Hopefully we can knock this out soon.

Alright, picks updated. Waiting on Seattle for one pick then onto Green Bay. Need someone for Green Bay. Go ahead and make picks. If you decide to take Green Bay and Seattle hasn't made the 1 pick on the "who the team will take" draft, go ahead and put 2 options in case that 1 player is taken. 1 hour time limit for both guys so we can finish this.

For GB:

WHO I WOULD PICK:

Since I'm stuck with a DE round 1, I'd like to address CB, T. Time for a home grown CB... Jack Ikegwuonu CB WI

WHO THEY WILL ACTUALLY TAKE:

In this situation, they go with Anthony Collins, T Kansas. Tackle is a thin position in this draft and they need depth. With only 2 4 star athletes left at this position, GB grabs one

I will put Tracy Porter CB Indiana in here as who they would take and I will take DaJuan Morgan....this would be the Pats pick. I may be out of turn here but I have to leave for an hour or so. If it needs editing when I get back I will try to do so.

Indianapolis Colts -

Who I think they should take: Dre Moore, DT Maryland

Best player available and after losing Booger in free agency they could use another guy there.

Who they will actially take: Ray Rice, RB Rutgers

BPA and they want a guy to spell Addai.

Some pretty good picks. I bolded the ones that hit (even if the guys were picked at a later pick, but matched with the team). However, many picks at least matched the position taken. Was fun to do and thanks to all that contributed.
