*** 2006 Chicago Bears Thread *** (2 Viewers)

I'm not a Bears fan and I'm not a Dolphins fan, but I love this. If Miami hangs on to win...wow!! Good for them taking out the undefeated Bears.

edit to add - in CHICAGO!!

Did the Bears play today? ;)I'm sure the geriatric pukes from Miami are getting ready to come up to Chicago and 'jinx' the Bears 'perfect season' next Sunday.Bring up Czonka and Buniconti....The latter of whom had one of the most assinine comments on Inside the NFL several years ago. "Everybody can see that Jim Miller was juiced up on something - to go from being a journeyman QB to posting back to back 300 yard games...."Bring it Dull-Phins. Nice investment with Nick Saban too btw.
"ouch"
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This wouldn't be that funny except for the fact the Dolphins are HORRIBLE and the Bears were at home. That makes it a little bit funny. Lord Helmet> :bye:

Ronnie Brown, baby! I've believed all along that he was a stud hampered by an awful line, and guess what...they rearranged the line today (moving L.J. Shelton to RG, among other things) and you all saw the results!

If this is any indication, ol' Ronnie just may live up to his ADP after all...

If you seriously are certain the Bears will not win a playoff game, you know little about the Bears, the NFC and the NFL.
Ok there :homer:
Yes, I am a :homer: , no doubt.I just find it laughable that you are certain that a team with a top 3 defense at worst is going to lose their first playoff game. It's a joke. And a bad one at that.Yes, if Grossman pulls an Arizona or Miami in the first playoff game, they will lose that game. But to be certain of that at this point is pure schtick and not reality.

Last time the Bears won a playoff game?
Since when does that matter?
Do me a favor KRS, tell me when the Seahawks last won a playoff game before last postseason?
Oh KRS, how about the 2003 Panthers that played in one of the greatest super bowls, when had they last won a playoff game?
:tumbleweed:

Oh KRS, how about the 2003 Panthers that played in one of the greatest super bowls, when had they last won a playoff game?
The Panthers have only been a franchise for 11 years. They have been in the NFC Championship twice within those 11 years.
KRS asked when the Bears last won a playoff game to go against my saying that they cannot be certainly expected to lose their first playoff game this year. However, the Panthers made the Super Bowl in 2003 despite not winning a playoff game since 1996. Yes, that seven year drought is less than the Bears current 12 year drought since 1994, but guess what. The Seahawks made the super bowl last year despite not having won a playoff game since 1984. That is 21 years.

So please find another reason to say the Bears will lose their first playoff game this year. If I tried, I could probably find a huge bunch of teams that hadn't won a playoff game in 5+ years and still did well in the playoffs.

I've had KRS on permanent ignore since last season so I can only imagine what his pathetic attack on the Bears is like now. He's a real winner.

The question wasn't asked to me. I just thought it was weird to bring up the Panthers. Maybe KRS is a Panther fan. I have no idea. I have no beef with the Bears. Go growl at someone else.

What? I never said the Bears will lose their first playoff game. Are you drunk?

Not growling at anyone. You quoted his post and said something that had nothing to do with the question. usually when you quote something, you are responding to the post. I was wondering what your point is.

Panthers were brought up cuz a 7 seven drought of playoff victories is sufficient enough to say the 2003 team did not have the "needed" playoff experience to win playoff games or go to the Super Bowl just like the current Bears.

I'll never forget that 1985 game. It's still the highest rated game in the history of Monday Night Football.

I still believe in my heart that if Miami had beaten New England in the AFC championship game, Super Bowl XX would have been a much closer game.

This thread may be the only thread this year that phin phans have a cause to bump.

So happy my current boys defended my old boys' only undefeated title.

'phins get the Colts this year?

BTW, this is exactly the kind of win that could kick off another EOY run like last year.

Or a 5-3 finish to get that not so great draft pick and then be a preseason Super Bowl contender with a ton of holes. I'd say this is much more likely only because I think it happened recently.

Besides M. Muhammed of the aforementioned Panthers team, have any other current Bears players won a playoff game? How about the players on that Panthers team? Did they have playoff experience?

Do Bear fans have any faith in Rex come January? Sorry, but this is not a great team. They overwhelm bad teams, but will lose their first playoff games like seasons past.
Exactly what NFC team will come to chicago and beat them? I don't see one team that can do that. There are a couple AFC teams i think could possibly be better than the bears, but that wouldn't be till the super bowl. Why wouldn't we have faith? One bad game, one so so game and 5 pretty damn good ones. Rex is fine.
Let's see what happens next Sun night and then I'll tell you.

LOL @ a Packers fan laughing at the Bears. What's the Pack's record again and how much did Chicago beat them by? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Maybe at some time I will look at the Panthers 2003 roster to compare but not now.Muhsin Muhammed, Fred Miller, Rueben Brown, Roberto Garcia, Ricky Manning Jr, Dante Wesley, Brad Maynard, and Brian Griese have been on teams that won a playoff game. Griese was a rookie backup player when the Broncos won a playoff game. Muhammad, Miller, Brown, Garcia, Maynard, and Manning were starters on teams that won playoff games. So they have four offensive starters that have won playoff games and the other 7 have started in playoff games. The defense has little playoff won experience but all but one/two will have started in a playoff game and they are too good to fold again in the playoffs.

Please drop this reason to think they won't win a playoff game.

I understand MrPack's gloating tho. After living in Wisconsin for the last 8 years I understand that regardless of what the team records are, it's mandatory for Packers fans to gloat about the Bears losing and viceversa. Although there's been way more Packer fan gloating since I've lived here.

I wish the pats hadn't lost, now I can't have my fun at the office tomorrow morning.

Bears, still best team evah? Like I've said before, until the NFC can consistently beat the AFC, I will make good money on the AFC.

Miami? Ah home?

Go back to your respective rocks.
