2010 Offseason Dynasty Trades (1 Viewer)

I'd take Bradshaw and Barber on this one.
Guess it depends on roster restrictions and current roster-ed players. But I could see this as a fairly even trade. Especially with roster restrictions.
I don't think it's a rip-off like some of these deals, but I view both Barber and Bradshaw about even with the 1.06, which is a Tate, Hardesty type player (rather have Bradhsawh than either of those guys or D. Thomas).... so I'd rather have that side.

Interesting.

Tate went 22nd over-all in my draft, Clausen went a pick later at 23rd over-all. Bradford went 8th over-all. Draft was the first week of May.

I know I passed on Tate and Clausen 3 times.
8 team league?
14 team league in its 12th year. No resident Notre Dame fan though, in that we are lacking.
Tate going in the 3rd round of a 14 team league is hard for me to comprehend. Would you mind posting the draft? or a link to it?
Tate went mid second 14 + 8. Rookie + free agent draft.1.01 Mathews, Ryan SDC RB ® Sat May 1 12:31:41 a.m. ET 2010

2.06 Dixon, Anthony SFO RB ®

2.07 Starks, James GBP RB ®

2.08 Williams, Damian TEN WR ®

......this is where GTate was really taken.

2.09 Clausen, Jimmy CAR QB ®

GTate shows up at 1.09, but he was a replacement pick inserted by the Commish on a skipped pick. The same owner drafted Tate and then selected Clausen with his second round pick.

Biggest surprise was McCluster instead of Thomas, but the same owner got Thomas 4 picks later.

RBs are worth more than WRs in a 14 team non-PPR league.

I agree about RBs being worth more in non-PPR, but that just means you take Tate/Hardesty before Thomas ect, not Anthony Dixon over Tate. And Damien Williams over Tate?

I can understand questioning taking another WR over him, but team needs play a part when taking prospect RBs. 3rd/4th string WR prospects were plentiful still. This is Golden Tate we're talking about, not a sure thing WR by any stretch. Heck on May 1st, I shouldn't have taken Mike Williams over him according to any cheatsheets or hype at the time. Can't speak for the other owners other than maybe they weren't that into GT.

Just sent and owner Kenny Britt and Antonio Bryant in exchange for Ahmad Bradshaw and Ladell Betts. Obviously this is basically a two for one trade. My rationale was that Britt is risky at best for many reasons and I don't think Bryant is going to do a lot for the Bengals at all. He's flaky and they have a lot of young talent over there. I also worry a lot about Palmer's arm and I have Ocho as well. Just too much passing stock in a team that likes to rush the ball and play defense.

On the Bradshaw side I think he takes a bit bigger slice of the pie this season. He played last season with a severe injury that caused him to wear a walking boot Monday through Saturday and still made Jacobs look inferior on Sundays. I'd say it is close to a 50/50 split this season. I also like that fact that he's still quite young at 24. He's 4 years younger than Jacobs and I think it is only a matter of time until he's the man in New York.

Like the VJax side and the Calvin side. I am one of the biggest Felix fans out there too.

12 Team PPR $250 Salary Cap Contract League

Team A gives:

Welker ($46 at 2 years)

Team B gives:

Pick 1.07 in rookie draft ($10 at 1-4 years)

...

Team A gives:

Pick 1.07

Jerome Harrison ($5 2 years)

Team C gives:

Pick 1.05 ($11 at 1-4 years)

...

Team A gives:

Pick 1.05

Doucet ($1 4 years)

Aromashodu ($1 4 years)

Team D gives:

Pick 1.03 ($13 at 1-4 years)

So for Welker with a bloated contract, Harrison, Doucet, and Aromashodu, Team A got either Ryan Matthews or Jahvid Best for $13 for 4 years.

Just traded T.Brady for Big Ben + H.Nicks.

4 pts/TD pass

1 pt/50 yards passing

Ben is a few years younger than Brady, but I could see them both lasting another 5 years and out. I do like Nicks a lot. I've also got Eli.

Not trying to be a jerk, but there must be some terrible owners in that league. That deal for Chris Johnson is absolutely horrid, and the one for Fitzgerald isn't much better. The other two deals are fair IMO. I doubt I could get Chris Johnson alone in any league for that entire list of players you traded this offseason. Definitely a good offseason for your team.

I'm in this league as well. I was really happy when the guy who traded away Chris Johnson & Boldin for a song quit the league like a month later. :wall:

Yes, some of the deals were a bit surprising... we initiated talks for Chris Johnson but were not expecting to get a deal as good as the one we got, if we got one at all. The other owner ended up proposing that trade. We proposed the VJax trade. The other two trades, including the Fitz trade, were proposed by the other owners. The Fitz trade just came out of the blue this morning.

No, my summary is what we gave up from what we started with and what we ended up with as a result. We acquired Boldin in one of the trades and traded him away in another, so I intentionally did not include him.

Sorry, missed him in the deal where you acquired him. Makes it look even more filthy. Was bad enough without him in there.

14 team (no PPR) I completed the following 2 deals pre-draft:

Deal 1

I gave up: Michael Turner, 1.1 draft pick, 2.1 draft pick

I received: Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Bush, 2011 1st round pick

Deal 2

I gave up: Ryan Grant

I received: 1.3 draft pick

Unless that pick is projected top 6 (preferably top 4), I'd keep Finley. Next year's draft should be loaded with WRs such as AJ Green, Julio Jones, Michael Floyd, Jonathan Baldwin, and RBs Mark Ingram and Ryan Williams, and QB Jake Locker.

I usually like the deal for whoever is getting the best player, but in this case I like Team B's side of that deal, and it isn't close.

Thats a kings ransom for AP. It's one of those deal that Team A looks back in two years and wonders why they ever made such a trade.

I wanted to make sure i got rid of Tony Gonzalez and get good value for him. Pairing him up with AP helped me here.

Traded Santonio Holmes straight up for Felix Jones? I like Felix's long term potential, but I'm going to be kicking myself if Santonio ends up in New England or someplace else like that next season.

I would guess that pick is in the 1.4-1.8 range....Interesting trade, I had been trying to get Finley from him myself.

Just took the following trade. Mind you this is from the reigning league champ. Start 2QB league.

I gave up Matt Moore and Jimmy Clausen

He gave up Frank Gore and Brady Quinn

I realize Gore has some miles, but neither Moore nor Clausen excites me at all, even if things do break perfectly for them.
