Haha. Hey, I didn't like being a negative Nancy. Hated being pessimistic, and I am LOVING seeing nice, long, drives. The team looks so much better than last week. A lot more crisp.^^^ That wasn't directed at you, mass. It's all you heard from the haters all week.I think it's almost about time people realize this is not a terrible O-line. RUN DMC
all day in 2nd half. But they got our best players and coach!?Somehow survived the loss of Gallery, it seems.![]()
Now THIS is the old Raiders I remember. Then bend AND break coverage.Implosion underway.
2 Words: Chuck BresnahanWow, that was hard to watch. That second half of football was horrid. Sure the Raiders cut down on the number of penalties, maybe now the can concentrate on cutting out the game changing ones. Horrible drive extending penalties today...

The kid is the goods, it seems. Question is, can the Raiders passing game be good enough for any receiver to be a consistent starter? What are your guys thoughts on moore moving forward with the other receivers coming back oer the next few weeks? Is he worth a large fa bid as oakland's #1 wr or did he go huge today bc everyone else was out?

Nick Miller might be the worst return man in the league.
He needs to just down it in the endzone everytime... Guy can't get past the 15 yard line.Seriously.CJ killed us the whole game and Bresnehan ALWAYS kills us with the lead in the final quarter.2 more words: Chris Johnson2 Words: Chuck BresnahanWow, that was hard to watch. A bit confused on this point. What did Moore not do to prove he should be starting? I haven't looked at the stats of all the WRs, but I'm fairly certain that his numbers and efforts were better then any single WR all of last season. Maybe even the best game of a WR looking back into the 2009 season. Getting open in the NFL is a pretty realitve term. Moore proved he has the hands, and ability to make a catch in traffic. I'll take that over what DHB has brought to the table in any game to date.Moore showed his ability to jump up and pull down a ball in traffic today. Campbell seems to already trust Moore to do just that. Moore needs to do a better job of getting open, then he should be ready to start.
Sure, Moore proved that he is probably already the best receiver on this team but you and I understanding that and Al Davis understanding that are two different things!A bit confused on this point. i was coming to vent something like this. he's ####### horrible.Nick Miller might be the worst return man in the league.
He's a rookie who has to earn it. He needs to run better routes and get more seperation. Not sure about his blocking ability either. Moore was not open on most of the throws this week and I didnt see him getting open last week either. Last week we saw the bad route which is something that takes time to develop. Jump balls are risky, especially the short ones. Dont worry, he'll get there. He's on the field. The coaches know its only a matter of time. He should still see the field even after Murhpy, Ford, and DHB all get back.A bit confused on this point. What did Moore not do to prove he should be starting? I know we had other more significant problems yesterday, but watching him is just painful on the eyes. I have no idea how he made the roster this year.....i was coming to vent something like this. he's ####### horrible.Nick Miller might be the worst return man in the league.
Hue on last Bills TD: "Coach Jackson left the guy wide open. ... we're win as a team, lose as a team. I'm not putting that on no player"
Hue on all the whining on how Raiders never get any calls: "We’re not dealing with that anymore. That’s all crap in my opinion."
I have to say, I sure like what he is saying publicly about his team.Hue: Sunday's loss "has nothing to do with an official, has nothing to do with a call, has nothing to do with nothing" besides not finishing
They should have left him in Buffalo!Nick Miller could soon be cut.

Yeah, actually, it does.Al brought back Bres, his former yes-man, the creator of the famous Sticks Defense, if any Raider fans remember this nightmare. We run Cover-1 all game long, then switch to a prevent D, which we have NEVER been good at, allowing chunks of yardage. With a lead, in a soft zone, the idea is to give up 4-6 yards at a time, not 10-15+, which is what the Raiders do. Reason why? IMO, we never run zone until these moments, and I am guessing they never practice it. We were playing zone in the 2nd half, with a bunch of guys that Never do it. It was a straight Cover-3, with very little blitzing. We don't have one decent coverage LB, we have two former DEs on the outside, and a MLB with average wheels. When the QB can line up, and knows exactly where the safeties are going to be 90% of the time, that is a major disadvantage for the defense. No line stunts, no blitzing up the gut. Nope, just a bunch of athletes, all alone by themselves in coverage, and the occasional safety blitz. Then they go to zone, and the players look lost, because the NEVER DO IT. Blame the individual players if you want, but other teams have ways of covering for lesser players, and putting lesser players in positions that they can shine. Chris Johnson can't cover Stevie Johnson? Well, make sure to just leave him on him, all alone, and don't switch up the coverage. Maybe he'll do better next play! But let's not do this: Let's NOT shift the coverage, DON'T double Stevie sometimes, and sure DON'T Routt on him wherever he goes. There is a lot of talent on that defense, but they are not as good collectively as the collection of players would suggest. The defense hasn't fooled any one in years, watching the Eagles/Steelers/Ravens is like watching a different sport sometimes. We were playing mostly zone coverage against the spread offense in the second half of the game against the Bills. The defensive collapse has nothing to do with Al Davis insisting on playing man to man.
Truth. The defense hasn't fooled any one in years, watching the Eagles/Steelers/Ravens is like watching a different sport sometimes.
this.the only plays that weren't an automatic 8+ yards for buffalo were when we brought the blitz hard.get ready for holmes to tear up the raiders next week.Yeah, actually, it does.Al brought back Bres, his former yes-man, the creator of the famous Sticks Defense, if any Raider fans remember this nightmare. And only a McFadden fumble from 2-0That's football. First part of the schedule is rough but it gets easier. Right now we just need to stay close in the division and we are.'Raiderfan32904 said:and only a stupid Kyle Orton fumble away from being 0-2,
Gallery is over rated. Always injured and easily replacable. This coming from a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. I knew the loss of Gallery wouldn't affect the Raiders at all.Haha. He was being sarcastic. That makes one of us. I'm afraid we'll get trampled this week.Jason Campbell doesn't seem to fare well against defenses that pressure and blitz relentlessly. Hope I'm wrong.I am actually a bit more optimistic about the Jets, than I was about the Bills game.

Jets Week
In the Raiders favor, Jets All Pro Center Nick Mangold is reportedly out. They say 2-4 weeks maybe with a high ankle sprain.
Raider D line tried to play it off like they got out coached and they did, but truth be told what’s their excuse for piss poor run D? McClain had 10 tackles and a bad game.
Safties Goirdano and Boyd got exposed when RBs broke contain and McClain coasted after 2nd level ball carriers then failed to make plays when it counted.
Bad, bad, bad...
SS Mike Mitchell and TE Kevin Boss would be welcome additions after prolonged injury absence.
Boss can hopefully help the ground game aka clock management and sustain drives with chain moving grabs. Speaking of chain moving, Oakland’s rag tag Flying Tiger Wide Receiver Corps lit up the Bills secondary.
With Oakland’s top 3 WRs out on Sunday, the Raiders fielded 6 yr multi-team practice squad veteran Derek Hagan and 5th round rookie draft pick Denarius Moore to great effect and over 300 yards areal offense.
All without TE Kevin Boss.
Boss may be back but the Raider back up Wide Outs won't be facing a Terrence McGee-less Buffalo secondary this week. CBs Antonio Cromartie and Darrelle Revis are likely the best tandem in the League but they'd better not sleep on Oakland receiving options including Chaz Schilens and Darren McFadden.
Raiders Coach Hue Jackson said Boss could've played against the Bills but said he erred on the side of caution.
If Boss is not full go in Oakland’s home opener, it may indicate there is something seriously wrong with him and the Raiders "almost cleared for take off" stance on the former Giant TE may have been a smoke screen to force opponents to game plan for him anyway.
All speculation aside, let’s just hope he plays and dominates.
Assuming the addition of Boss, Oakland has a rare and deep arsenal of weaponry available for O Coordinator Al Saunders and HC Hue Jackson to choose from. An arsenal so deep in fact it’s matched really only by a few teams, like the Jets.
WRs Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress could present matchup problems, TE Dustin Keller is making plays not to mention former Charger and leading rusher against Oakland, RB LaDanian Tomlinson.
The Raider defense will no doubt work on shutting down the West Coast offense wielded so effectively by the Bills. An offense that negated Oakland’s formidable pass rush and exposed its depleted and run shy Safeties.
Strong Safety Mike Mitchell has been out of commission since the first of off season camps but says his goal has been to be ready for the Jets home opener.
Let’s hope he is.
New York’s visit to the Raiders backyard will be the perfect opportunity for the Raiders to exact revenge for a disappointing result in Buffalo and redeem their defense for its second half collapse and inability to adapt on the fly.
Oakland can win this game and they'd better because if Mark Sanchez and the Jets destroy them using the Buffalo blue print the Raiders will be hard pressed to stop the ultimate dink and dunk offense in Tom Brady's Patriots who visit the very next week.

And last.'UnknownCoach said:We need to blow up the middle of the Jets offensive line. That gives us our best chance. A big special teams play or trick play could be a difference maker. I cant picture too much success from our offense. Must win the turnover battle and hopefully score first. Will need a good game in all phases. Fans will be pumped, players better be.
