2013 Off Season Dynasty Trade Thread (for completed trades) (3 Viewers)

I received Antonio brown and 1.07 for James jones and my 1.04. The redraft picks are equal to the 19th round seeing as the rosters have 18 players right now with a 7round redraft with the fa pool and the rest of the rookies. I'm thinking I did we'll in this trade but I wanted the thoughts of the dynasty community. Am I overvaluing Brown in comparison to Jones?
No thoughts on this trade?
I like the Jones side this year, just because at pick 1.04 the other team is getting a crack at Bell, Ball, or Bernard. Most likely you won't. It is a close trade though.

No the draft pick is for the free agent pool we already had our rookie draft so I'm losing out on 4th round rookie selections and who ever is a fa

10 team PPR super flex

Gave:

2014 2nd

2014 3rd

2014 4th

Got:

2013 2.08 (took Christine Michael)

I'm not even a huge fan, but the value there was ridiculous. Too good to pass up.

And then the guy I traded those picks to turned around and moved them all for the 3.04, 3.05, and 4.04. It's gonna be interesting to look at this when those picks have names. Not quite there yet.

Traded Cobb, Ellington and G. Tate for Jennings. Hilton and Stacy (pre Pead Suspension)

Another leage Traded David wilson, cameron, Jonathon franklin, Latevius murray and 2 nd rounders for AP and Gearhart. Probably an over pay but full blown win now mode.
Really don't like either of these for you.
me either but I believe in getting the stud in any deal. Stacy and Ellington are almost equal IMHO--both are longshots with good upside, unproven, and young. So basically you trade Cobb for Jennings and Hilton. I like Hilton but he is not a featured WR--he is a complementary WR who is more of a WR3/WR2 longterm. Jennings is a WR2 but in MN with a weak QB may produce as a WR3 and he is 29 years old.

10 team PPR Start 1QB/2RB/3WR/1TE/1Flex(R/W/T)

Jordy Replaces Colston as my 3rd WR.

Like Bowe better here
Me too.
I'd much rather have the 1.7. The 2.2 is not necessary imo.
Why do you ALWAYS prefer the draft picks, yet in our league you ALWAYS trade the draft picks for players?

If you had Bowe in our league, I would bet you anything you wouldnt trade him for pick 7.
This is not close for me. Ive been trying to trade Jeremy Maclin for the 1.7 in another league, and I like Maclin more than I like Bowe (was rejected by the way).

What you think you know about what I like and don't like is wrong. I post here that I like the 1.7 over Bowe (EASY!). This is all the information you need to know. I am not lying.

But since you are clearly wrapped up in what I do and do not do, I'll point out that from the moves you are seeing, you are taking them out of context and not using clear and complete logic in forming your conclusions. I traded the 1.7 for Russell Wilson. To you, this means I don't like the 1.7. Poor logic. I traded the 1.4 for Justin Blackmon. To you, this means I generally like players over picks. Poor logic. You are not processing the necessary and correct information in coming up with your poorly formed conclusions. How much do I like Blackmon? How much do I like Wilson? How much does EVERYONE like Wilson?

You also arrive at your uninformed conclusions without a clear understanding of what Ive been offering other teams both in our league and in others. FYI, I offered Demarco Murray for Gio Bernard (the 1.1) straight up - got rejected. I offered Demarco Murray for Tavon Austin (the 1.2) straight up, got rejected. As mentioned earlier, Ive offered Maclin for the 1.7 - got rejected.

I traded away CJ Spiller, possibly the #1 RB in dynasty, for David Wilson, the 1.4 and Michael Floyd. I traded away Mike Wallace, whom I like very much, for the 1.1 (earlier in the offseason). That was easy then, it is an even bigger slam dunk now. I like draft picks plenty.

I trade draft picks if the deal is right (and even then, I often regret the trade afterwards).

Ummm, way to assume what I think, well done, though super wrong. You traded 1.7 for WIlson cause it was highway Robbery. Do you already forget I tried to get Wilson off you for WAY more value than pick 7??? I even offered him Steve Johnson plus a projected high 2014 1st for Wilson two days before he idiotically traded you Wilson for pick 7. How is that me thinking you don't like pick 7 exactly???? I traded pick 2 not to long ago for Blackmon, so obviously I would agree that dealing pick 4 was also easy.

Really nobody likes Maclin at this point (except you, me, and maybe 5 other humans out there somewhere), so offering him for pick 7 isn't really some ringing endrsement of pick 7.

Also offering Murray for pick 1 doesn't tell me anything either. TONS of talk from TONS of people who don't care for Murray much at all, considering he is an injury waiting to happen in the eyes of most, probably you also.

I would also deal Wallace for pick 1. I have never really cared for him anywhere near his perceived value, and still don't.

I also don't care or see what you do in any of your other leagues, sorry to disappoint you. Only time I ever see that is when henry emails me trades from other leagues. Just going by what I see in our league and what I see you say on here sometimes, which is you LOVE draft picks, but in our league you never actually use them except to take Richardson last year. Wasn't really meant to spurn such a reacton from you, just an observation that you clearly took offense to for some reason.

Go get Bowe in our league and I will be happy to give you Maclin for him. And yes, I very much do not think you would have traded Bowe for pick 7 in our league, cause you know damn well you could have and would have gotten more. THAT is why you wouldnt have done it even if you do truly like Bowe more than pick 7.

I do appreciate the makeshift logic 101 lesson though. Not necessary, but always appreciated.

Can this end here please?

made a few moves lately...

12 team PPR QB/2RB/2WR/TE/2Flex (6PT TDs)

Roster is now:

Brady/Schaub

Morris/Wilson/Tate/ABrown/Pierre/Helu

Dez/Cruz/Austin/James Jones/Little

FDavis/Bennett/Cameron

Have picks 1.05, 3.10 and 3.11
Some in this thread didn't like my deal for Brady, but getting this 1.05 did allow me to to do this:

  • Me gave up Year 2013 Draft Pick 1.05; Year 2014 Round 2 Draft Pick
  • Team C gave up Year 2013 Draft Pick 1.02 (Drafted Gio, Tavon went #1)
Roster is now:

Brady/Schaub

Morris/Wilson/Gio/Andre Brown/Tate/Pierre/Helu

Dez/Cruz/James Jones/Miles/Little

FDavis/Cameron/Bennett

Overall I lost a little bit of WR depth, but stronger at RB/QB and have a much better starting lineup. There have been some interesting picks (as there always are in this league, Pat White went in the first round!! in the draft so I might end up with some decent players with the 3.10 and 3.11 picks I have left.

Nice job getting Gio/Brady for Nicks/2nd. I don't like the deal for Cruz though.

Team A Gave Justin Hunter, Markus Wheaton

Team B Gave Rueben Randle, Dustin Keller, 2014 2nd (Projected 2.6-2.8)

Team B Gave Dustin Keller

Team C Gave Dwayne Allen

I love Randle so I think team A did better in the first trade and team B won the second trade

I gave up: Emmanuel Sanders, 1yr contract $40k

I received: 2013 First Round Draft Pick #12 , will end up being a 2 year $15k contract with 4 yr extension avail...

I have a number of targets I'd like to get at 12 and also figured the contract amt/length into the deal.

$2500 FFPC (1.5 TE)

I am not involved in this trade.

AJ Green and Fred Davis

FOR

McFadden Jermichael Finley TY Hilton and M Reece

I would take the Green side all day, this is particularly true due to the 14 man off season rosters where consolidating talent is even more important.

Dynasty pick trade

Trade 17 overall and 68 for 1st next year? Projected 2-7

Already pick 1 and 9

I would then have 4 firsts next year.

Trades in the last 2 weeks:

12 team, 1/2 ppr for WR/TE only, start Q/R/R/W/W/W/T + flex, 4 yr max contracts, 5 man rookie squad, 2 man devy squad for 2nd yr players only. Each team receives $500 per year for free agent bidding and restricted free agent bidding in the off season when contracts are up.

MHB received Steven Jackson (2 yr), Pierre Thomas (2), $60, 5.08, 5.09
DK received M.Wallace (2), 4.10, 5.04

MHB received B.Tate (2)
SC received T. Kelce ®

TPC received C.Givens (DS), C.Patterson ®
L received D.Alexander (4)

BB received Welker (3)
MHB received Maclin (4), S.Rice (4), S.Smith (2), 2014 3rd

AL received A.Foster (1), Tate (2)
SC received C.Shorts (4), 2014 1st (late)

L received D.Murray (2), R.Cobb (4)
TPC received E.Lacy ®, A.Morris (3), AJ Jenkins (DS), $75

TPC received Maclin (4), 2014 1st (6-9?)
MBH received R.White (1)

TPC receives 2014 1st (very likely top 3)
J receives E.Lacy ®, 2014 3rd, $125

AL received A.Foster (1), Tate (2)
SC received C.Shorts (4), 2014 1st (late)
Is Foster a pending free agent or something? I can't see giving him up for so little.

Traded the #24 rookie pick (he took EJ Manuel) during the draft along with a likely late 2nd round rookie pick next year for a 1st round pick next year (likely mid round pick).

Had already used earlier rookie picks on Eifert, Lattimore, K Allen and Arthur Brown.

Don't really care what the format, that's a bad trade.
Depends on SC's chances of resigning Foster after this year probably. If he doesn't have at least a decent team this year, and knows he can't sign Foster after this year, it's not terrible. But I like Shorts more than most and Tate much less than most...

Okay. I guess I do care. I'm unfamiliar with salary cap leagues.

SC had probably less than 50% chance of signing Foster after this season, and he is rebuilding. He probably should have gone after a higher pick from another team, but it is usually hard to get more than pretty good value for 1 year contract players. I've seen strong 1 year players go for less, and I've seen them go for more. This is probably a middle of the road deal.

1.05 rookie pick for Torrey SmithSteve Smith (Car) Pick was used for Tavon Austin.
I prefer Torrey Smith over Austin. So Steve Smith thrown in works
Don't agree here, but I can see a contender being unable to justify moving Smith and Smith for a question mark rookie in Austin. But for anyone not needing both those guys in their lineup all the time, I can really dig this trade. But then the part I most disagree with is preferring Torrey > Austin.

I am not in that league, but the same guy then traded Adrian Peterson, Dustin Keller and Stedman Bailey for Vernon Davis and CJ Spiller.

This guy is on a roll.
