Team A wins. Harvin is the better, more proven player.
I'm not so sure about that. Why don't we downgrade Harvin some for switching teams? We really have no idea how he will be used in Seattle, and what effect that will have on his numbers. At least with Cobb we know he is in a high-powered offense with a QB who loves to throw and no running game.

I would take Cobb over Harvin straight up.

When everyone was healthy, Cobb was on the field for 50-60% of the snaps; mostly just 3WR sets. Will he play in 2WR set? GB wants to be more balanced. Will they be? If Finley shuts up and works, do his numbers go back up? I don't know that Cobb's situation will be as good as it was in 2012. I would much rather go with the better talent, who, to me, is Harvin.

To steal from SSOG, and paraphrase: I don't know what Harvin's numbers are going to look like over the next few years. But I like his talent/age/production/QB etc.

Harvin for me also
The one big thing that could swing it to Cobb is the word Return Yards that he put up. How big are return yards because this is where Cobb passes alot of WR's. I too think Harvin is overrated.
Harvin returns kicks - well he did in Minny at least.

12 team PPR

Team A: gives 2014 3rd Rounder

Team B: gives Darrius Heyward-Bey
I'm amazed people aren't more excited about him in Indy. A 3rd is basically nothing and I think DHB is much better than Avery. I expect solid WR3 numbers if he gets the kind of targets Avery did last year.

Team A Trades

Cutler, Jay CHI QB
Cameron, Jordan CLE TE

To team B for

Blount, LeGarrette TBB RB
Rodgers, Jacquizz ATL RB
Year 2013 Round 4 Draft Pick from Houston Texans

14 team PPR

Gave:

Owen Daniels

Got:

Martellus Bennet

2.12

2.14

Wary of Daniels injury history, I see these guys as being in about the same tier so I'll take the free picks.

12 team 24 roster PPR I gave: Johnson, Chris TEN RBYear 2013 Draft Pick 1.02 Dalton, Andy CIN QBJean, Lestar HOU WR I got: Harvin, Percy SEA WRHenne, Chad JAC QBTebow, Tim NYJ QB Notes: Henne/Tebow were throw ins to even the rosters. I have nothing at WR and had tried to move Johnson and the 1.02 separately for a good young WR without success.
I think you gave way too much. I personally think Dalton is a perennial pro bowler in the making. Then u also gave a 1.02?! I dunno. I think that trade comes back to haunt you. For your sake I hope Im wrong. There's a lot of uncertainty with Harvin to give that much, imo.
Looks about right to me for Harvin. By your response, it looks like you have Harvin = Chris Johnson and Dalton, which would be far too little for Harvin imo.
Nope. I agree with ghostguy in that CJ is about finished. My opinion is that 1.02 + Dalton > Harvin. Im not thrilled about the 1.02 this season but I would use it as trade bait because someone would value it more than I. I think it comes down to my unpopular opinion of Dalton. I think he'll be A consistent top 5 QB when he hits his prime. I understand I'm in the minority with that thinking.

You might be the first person I've ever seen say this.
Fwiw, I've been predicting NFL success for Dalton before he was even drafted. I also said the same thing about Brees when he was in SD. That was when the majority thought Rivers was a better prospect than Brees.

Start 1qb/2rb/3wr/1te/1flex (any)/idp 1ppr

I gave: Witten, Welker

He gave: Hernandez

I'm pretty stacked at wr and saw it as a chance to upgrade/get younger at te. I would have likely lost Welker at end of season anyhow because of contract situation.

12 Team PPR 2RB/3WR/TE/WRT Flex

Team A sends:

Alfred Morris

Roy Helu

to team B, for:

Vick Ballard

1.04

2014 2nd rounder

T.J. Graham

I'll be interested to hear about this one - it's not what I expected to happen.

I take the Morris side in a heartbeat.

12 team, 1/2 ppr for WR/TE only, start Q/R/R/W/W/W/T/flex, max 4 yr contracts

A received picks 3.01 and 4.10
B received Robert Turbin (eligible for devy squad, then contract next year)

C received Garcon (2 yr), two 2014 1st rounders (likely mid-late), AJ Jenkins
D received 2013 picks 1.06 and 1.08

I'm in this league so I'll comment

I thought you sold a little short on Cobb but in a start 2 RB 14 Team League, Forte is valuable

I'm team A and have no problem trading Harvin for Cobb, there pretty much the same type of player w/ Cobb being less injury prone and on a more vertical offense. Cobb was WR5 last season in this league and even w/ the crazy good yr Harvin was having he was only 1 PPG higher than Cobb

14 team IDP.. offered Gronkowski for david wilson and 1.03.. quickly rejected.. Trying Gronk for D. Wilson and 2.03?? Owner of DWilson hasnt made a trade in.. well at least 330 days...

C made out huge over D. What was D thinking??!!

The trade between C & D is bad any way I look at.

That C/D trade is just insane.

The A/B trade isn't much better.

You're teamA? Team A gives Cobb according to the post. In any case I'd rather have Harvin.

[*]Flying Ninja Monkeys gave up Ballard, Vick IND RB;Decker, Eric DEN WR

[*]Kiss My Ring gave up Turner, Michael FA* RB;Gordon, Josh CLE WR; Year 2013 Draft Pick 1.05
I'll take Gordon/1.05 side.
I'm not getting the love for Ballard when he's likely a week away from the team drafting his replacement.
I like Ballard ok and thought he was a pretty good get for the guy acquiring Decker but I still rather have Gordon more than Decker. The 1.05 might be a little high for Ballard but I can see a case to be made for Ballard being the feature back in Indy this season(even if I don't see it long term). I'm not nearly as excited about Ballards skill as I am his oppurtunity. If you believe the Colts are looking to upgrade on Ballard in this draft then obviously he's a sell for you.

I received Turbin in the first trade (I have Lynch). I had offered 3.05 to the new owner in our league to see what he would come back with, he just rejected and said Turbin was worth more. Fast forward 5 or 6 weeks and he made the above offer to me.

Regarding the other trade (I was not involved)... I'm not sure what D was thinking. We had spoken about this draft vs 2014 draft, and he was fully on board with the consensus that next year is much better. He really could not afford to trade a WR, either, so giving Garcon was a head scratcher. Rookie fever?

Harvin was 1.9ppg higher and if you take out the game he got hurt he was about 3.6ppg higher, so there was quite a bit of a difference. Not sure if Cobb will beat his production from last year. It's possible, but he'd have to put up Green/Bryant numbers from last year if he's taken off return duties.

Why on earth are you offering Gronk for that???

14 team PPR, middle of the rookie draft right now. Offense only league.

Gave:

2.12

2.14

3.05

Got:

2.04

Dustin Keller

Dexter McCluster

4.10

6.14

2014 5th

2014 7th

I felt so good about getting Keller cheaply as my backup at TE that I felt comfortable reaching on the one guy left that I loved at RB, who I knew would be gone by my next pick. Took Spencer Ware.

oops, B

Team A Gave - 1.07, 2014 1st and 2nd

Team B Gave - Demarco Murray

I am the team who gained murray. I have a strong team at all other positions, and desperately needed another rb other than charles.

Feels a little high for Murray, but can understand the deal if he was the best RB you could get with those picks.

So you are giving up a 1.07 and probably a late round 2014 1st and 2nd. That is not that much of an overpayment (if any) for an undisputed starter like Murray.
