Ignoring handcuff concerns I'd take Brown. Higher floor in a timeshare. Higher ceiling if Wilson gets hurt or doghoused (not that I think that will happen).12 team PPR, start Q/RR/WWW/T/flex
gave Vick Ballard
received Andre Brown
Seems like 2 2nds for a mid 1st. Those trades rarely work out. Dobson is a decent opportunity play but I don't anticipate this deal looking favorable to Dobber's side next year.I think it's a big overpay but I'm really low on Dobson!not a huge trade here, but any opinions on this one? What are the thoughts on the rookie Dobson?10 team dynasty ppr, start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (R/W/T)
A Gives: Aaron Dobson, 2014 2nd
B Gives: 2014 1st (had 1.04 in 2013, could finish anywhere from 1.04-1.08).
A is in the 2nd year of a rebuild, team has already had a quick turn around with only B Marshall remaining from the original roster. notable players: RGIII, Kaepernick, Martin, Morris, Gordon, Antonio Brown, V. Brown, J. Hunter, Wheaton, J. Baldwin, Rudolph, Kelce, Ertz, Housler. Team A now has 2014 1,1,3,4.
B is a borderline playoff team and lost Crabtree with the injury this off season. Notable WRs include: DT, Colston, Floyd (AZ), Denarius Moore, DHB. finished 6th out of 10 teams in 2013 but has improved by adding Chris Johnson to go along with Sproles and Forte. Team B now has 2014 2, 2, 3, 4. Solid team
I felt the same way. The other owner has Bradshaw. I shopped T.Y. Hilton for RB depth and nothing came of it (I would want more than a Brown-level guy for Hilton), so I like giving Ballard and getting Brown as my RB4 AND keeping Hilton and my WR6.thriftyrocker said:Ignoring handcuff concerns I'd take Brown. 95% of people would take Graham over Gronk this isn't a lateral move I tried to move Gronk for Graham in my leagues got laughed at.squistion said:12 team, 24 roster PPR league
I gave:
TE Rob Gronkowski
I got:
TE Jimmy Graham
Notes: A lateral move between the two best teams in this league for the two best players at that position.
Trade reflects dynasty strategy of the respective teams. I look at a shorter term strategy for players that can help me win in the next two years, while the other owner(s) has a longer term approach. Gronk's injury issues concerned me, plus I own Brees which gives a nice combo with Graham in weeks when they are connecting (but also sucks in weeks when they are not).

Reminds me of a trade in another league I seen where the guy gave Mike Williams and a 2nd round pick for a 2nd round pick......basically Williams for Free...this is basically Pitta for free.samkongado said:Justin Hunter

Why? Because of his back? Gronk has been more dominate while on the field and the arm doesn't seem like a concern anymore.95% of people would take Graham over Gronk this isn't a lateral move I tried to move Gronk for Graham in my leagues got laughed at.squistion said:12 team, 24 roster PPR league

Graham, and it isn't remotely close. Whoever got graham got over on the other guyWhy? Because of his back? Gronk has been more dominate while on the field and the arm doesn't seem like a concern anymore.
Graham hasn't produced to Gronk's level yet, despite commonly being referred to as 1a or 1b in dynasty at TE. If Gronk fully recovers there's no reason why that won't continue. Plus there's a decent age gap there.Graham, and it isn't remotely close. Whoever got graham got over on the other guyWhy? Because of his back? If you look at the staff rankings (or just about any dynasty rankings) they are consistently falling at TE #1 and #2 and when tiers are given they alone are in the top tier. It is true that Graham is usually ranked above Gronk, there but are some among the rankers who prefer Gronk. I think while a majority of people would prefer Graham, they would not consider Gronk that much of a step down.95% of people would take Graham over Gronk this isn't a lateral move I tried to move Gronk for Graham in my leagues got laughed at.squistion said:12 team, 24 roster PPR league

15 months vs 30 months right? It all balances out with the age of their respective qb's
And last year some guys in the Staff rankings still had Gates rated in top 5 in dynasty TE's I have learned not to look at their rankings for dynasty they are very poor in most accounts. If you look at the staff rankings (or just about any dynasty rankings) they are consistently falling at TE #1 and #2 and when tiers are given they alone are in the top tier. You have posted so many ridiculous one sided trades from your leagues, the fact they laughed at you doesn't really care much weight. Please tell that to the guys who own Graham in my leagues because I tried to trade them Gronk for Graham and they laughed at me.
Not sure I am posting any more ridiculous trades then the rest of the people so not sure what your getting at. I would put Floyd on the trade block but other than that nice Wilson snag.16 team dynasty:
Gave Brady and Desean Jackson
Got Flacco, David Wilson and Malcolm Floyd
Destroyed? Hardly.A.) It is close.andGraham, and it isn't remotely close. Whoever got graham got over on the other guyWhy? Because of his back? Gronk has been more dominate while on the field and the arm doesn't seem like a concern anymore.
B.) The only reason it's close is because Gronk is banged up right this instant. Gronk is 2 1/2 years younger and has destroyed Graham in terms of production.
In the last 2 years Graham has averaged 16.65 points per game in PPR for 29 games. He missed one game and I didn't include week 17 since most leagues are done.Destroyed? Hardly.A.) No it isn't.In the last 2 years Graham has averaged 16.65 points per game in PPR for 29 games. Almost 3 points a game difference between the top tight end and the next closest tight end in PPR for the last two years is a BIG difference.
Middle of the pack...Owner needed Palmer to free him up to trade Kaepernick or Russ Wilson.Basically a 2014 1st for Michael Floyd in my eyes, where would you project it?
I agree with your general point. But don't forget that Jimmy played through injury last year, knocking down his ppg, while Gronk sat out, leaving his ppg intact. In the last 2 years Graham has averaged 16.65 points per game in PPR for 29 games. I don't understand how anyone can laugh at that offer. Gronk has been one of the best fantasy players ever, in terms of advantage/VBD. I think he is riskier than Graham, but has a higher upside. I'd still take Gronk.95% of people would take Graham over Gronk this isn't a lateral move I tried to move Gronk for Graham in my leagues got laughed at.squistion said:12 team, 24 roster PPR league

3 PPG is a big difference. As Bamac said, part of that is due to Jimmy being hampered. The market value is really off, here. I'd much rather add to Brown to get AJ or Jackson, than move him straight up for Wayne.10 Team 10 player keeper (I am not involved)......
Team A gives Reggie Wayne
Team B gives Antonio Brown
Team A needed a young keeper WR and Team B wanted the better 1 year option in his opinion.

As SSOG points out - eventually father time catches up, and he's not nice. It's far from a lock that 34/35 YO Wayne is as productive as 33/34 YO Wayne. Age matters, even when using a 1 year window.
Almost 3ppg (Gronk vs Graham) is absolutely huge.
If all eight of your Q/R/W/T starters outscored the positional average by that margin every week you'd you'd go 10-3 (on average) in a 13 week season.
Yuck.In one of my standard PPR 1/2/3 + 1 flex
Darren McFadden + 2014 1st (from what looks like the worst team in the league on paper)
for
James Jones and Julian Edelman
Not involved and obviously god awful.
If it's the team that traded McFadden and the pick away, I tend to beleive itIn one of my standard PPR 1/2/3 + 1 flex

Some injuries can be played through some can't, Gronk has played when he was banged up too. It is still a big differenceBamac said:I agree with your general point. Assuming Team A is rebuilding, this is a solid deal for them. Talent will be rich next year and while Bailey has some upside and Smith has "win now" value, I think I'd rather have the speculative pick.12 team ppr Start qb, 2rb, 2wr, te, flex, d/st, k
Team A gives Stedman Bailey & Steve Smith
Team B gives 2014 1st (likely in range of 5 to 10)
