2015 Shark Pool mock draft - The SECOND one (1 Viewer)

You originally took RB Tevin Coleman but he was already selected by Carolina.

Minnesota Vikings select Tevin Coleman RB from the University of Illinois. Immediate impact to the return game, in the case the Vikings give up on Patterson. Perfect fit for zone stretch run scheme. Powerfull 3 down back and IMO 2nd best RB to Gurley.

Panthers selected him already.
You didn't see that so you had to change your pick.

I didnt see him taken on braces update. Sorry Andy, thought I picked you a winner.

Andy then threw out the suggestion of David Johnson.

I think you're on the right track. I was considering David Johnson from N Iowa.
Then their was confusion because you picked WR Tre McBride.

I believe you thought he had already been selected but he hadn't so you choose RB David Johnson, or so it appeared because you then posted this.

I give up then. Too many names.

Let's go with Andy's pick David Johnson

I was going to ask you about it last night because I was confused but if you made McBride the pick then your list is correct and I'll update my draft tracker.

Sorry for the confusion. I've since updated my short list and my previous post in the last page (post 696) has also been edited.

82 - Houston - C.Walford, TE, Miami

This like all of Houston's pick's so far is about catching falling perceived value. Although not a stud prospect, Walford seems to have a good chance to be a servicable starter. TE is one of the weaker positions on the team despite spending an annual pick on the spot in the Kubiak era. The hope would be to finally get at least a servicable receiving weapon.

Walford ran slower than expected (4.79-40, 4.57-Shuttle) but looks the part of a good receiving TE option, with big hands. Is a capable blocker, so is a bit of a Jack of all trades type. Would likely challenge for starting TE spot immediately if drafted, if that tells you state of affairs in Houston. G.Graham looks to be just a guy, and Fiedorowiscz didn't flash as much other than being a capable blocker.

San Diego 83 - Henry Anderson(DE)Stanford

Another 3 down starter for the Chargers. This one pushes Reyes to the bench where he belongs. He may have made it to the fourth but replacing Reyes is a priority and there aren't a lot of 3-4 DE's that are a lock to be starter as a rookie so maybe it is a slight reach. I have liked him since the college season ended and he's gotten a little buzz the past few months.

This seems about right where he should go. LOT of teams run a 3-4, and he won't slide much further.

3.84 The Philadelphia Eagles select Rashad Greene, WR, Florida State

Silky smooth WR perhaps best fitted for the slot which would move Matthews outside.

TJ Clemmings, OT Pitt

Eric Rowe, CB/S Utah

Rashad Greene, WR, FSU

Now this, OTOH, is a really good start for the Iggles.

I think we could get through the turn today.

With compensatory selections there are eighteen picks EDIT oops we made the last three picks so only fifteen picks to go in this round.

BTW Bengals up now and I really like the two picks they've made so-far in this draft so looking forward to who they take here.

Also here is the list with the three most recent picks made since last update with the remaining picks of this round.

3.85 Bengals Select - WR Sammie Coates - Auburn

Hue Jackson wants a speed receiver and gets one here in Coates. The knock on him is a big one - basically that he can't catch a cold which in these draft conditions means a tumble down the board. Candidate to be future most infuriating Bengal. But he should open up A.J. and Eifert a bit and keep teams honest and he's supposed to have a good work ethnic so maybe he can become more consistent. Kind of the last chance saloon of WR prospects so the Bengals nab him here.

Where are my Bengal brothers at? How bad am I screwing this up?

Not a Bengal fan but I think you are going great especially for where Nati picks in the draft.

Good quality big uglies on both sides of the line and Sammy Coates.

Excellent draft Quiz Guy. Big ups from my vantage.

EDIT: BlackJacks is making the Arizona Cardinals picks so we're waiting on him.

Waiting on Arizona pick.

BlackJacks is making the picks for the Cardinals.

He hasn't signed on since the 17th so how long before we start throwing out suggestions for their pick?

I didn't realize we were doing a third round, but just popped in and realized it's up the Pitt's pick after AZ, so if you guys pick quickly for AZ, I can make the Steelers pick now too.

I'd think a QB might be in the discussion.
Since EG picks for Pittsburgh right after Arizona and I select for Detroit. I don't think it would be copacetic for me or EG to make suggestions but I don't see BlackJacks and since EG is ready to make a pick and so am I, we can move things along pretty quickly if we get some more suggestions and Andy steps-in.

So throw out some more suggestions folks.

Clive Walford? Idk if they have the same OC, historically ignoring TEs but they lost Housler.

I really don't know much about AZ.

He was just taken a few picks before by Houston.

I don't think this pick will be made for days if we continue waiting on BlackJacks making the selection so hopefully we can get more suggestions and make a consensus pick.

82 Houston - Bonfire - DE/OLB Alvin 'Bud' Dupree - WR Nelson Agholor - TE Clive Walford -

Jesse James is a hulking blocker of a TE reasonable receiver as well. Jeff Heurman is another option. If they want a TE that is.

Well, you've got about 10-15 (tops) mins to pick for AZ if you want the Pittsburgh pick before tomorrow AM (unless someone else wants to pick for Pittsburgh too.)

Can you please keep the OP updated, just for the round by round picks, not for the cumulative results for each team? That would help a lot, especially now that we are going deep into the draft.

I'll try to get to it but I've had a bunch going on.Give Arizona Alex Carter, CB, Stanford

EG has left the building but he left his pick with my via message:

Guess who his pick was?

I was going to pick Alex Carter, CB, Stanford. Has potential at both outside corner and FS, which ultimately is where I think he may land. Both are major need positions for the Steelers. Sure tackler, smooth player, takes good angles to the ball carrier, wraps well. Heady player, doesn't make mistakes.
-==================================

Since he was just selected we may have to wait till tomorrow to get this thing going unless we want to veto the Carter pick to Zona and make a different selection and then we can keep going because I'm ready with Detroit's pick if we can break the logjam.
