2016 Subscriber Contest - live scoring in first post (1 Viewer)

Looks like my numbers are a bit off from FBG. It'll be a few hours before I get a chance to reconcile, for now (and always) assume mine are unofficial and FBGs are correct.

cheers: Stafford, Evans, Eli Rogers

Jeers: Peterson, Barnidge
I'm not getting any points for Eli yet.  When does fbg update for MNF?

Eta: actually that's not right, I have points for Jesse James but not Eli Rogers.

interesting...neither am I. In fact, without Rogers points it lists my entry as "JoeSteeler This entry is NOT still alive."

Probably the same Eli/Eric Rogers issue noted above.

Meanwhile, the first two Staff members (Harstad & Wimer) bite the dust.

All I know is that LeVeon and Gordon will be missed more than I thought they would when making my team.  Hold on....reinforcements are coming.  I just hope there is something left when they get here.

Sure, but the fact that fbg seized the opportunity to add a sleeper they didn't originally have in the contest shouldn't prevent us from getting points for the new player.

Sorry to the guys out week 1. That sucks.
Probably doesn't make them feel any better that there are 6 Patriot homer teams that played Brady, Gronkowski, and Dion Lewis that all survived.

EDIT: Have to take that back.  Looks like the queries tool isn't quite live yet.  3 of those 6 actually did get eliminated.

Welp, my temp Tyrod/RG3 duo not looking great to hold out until Brady gets back.
I have TT and RG3 ... difference id I have Stafford, who happens to have the same bye as TT (week 10).  Hopefully RG3 will be back by then, but I have a feeling he will never be back.

Not panicked by my team quite yet, but losing Keenan Allen hurts ... Hopefully TT can turn it around.

I've been playing in this contest since they started it and only cashed once.  This year I put a heavy focus on top RB's and WR's and made sure I was bye friendly.  Hopefully it works out for me!

QB - Matthew Stafford - DET/10 - $12QB - Brock Osweiler - HOU/9 - $8QB - Carson Wentz - PHI/4 - $6

I went for value and bye weeks with my QB's.  I think Stafford is primed for a solid year, Brock should be serviceable and Wentz is a lotto ticket.

RB - Adrian Peterson - MIN/6 - $28RB - LeVeon Bell - PIT/8 - $27RB - Melvin Gordon - SD/11 - $14RB - Derrick Henry - TEN/13 - $7RB - Christine Michael - SEA/5 - $4

Top heavy with AP and Bell and good value on the other three IMO.  I'm betting on Henry or Gordon putting up some solid games at some point this year.

WR - Allen Robinson - JAX/5 - $28WR - Mike Evans - TB/6 - $24WR - Brandon Marshall - NYJ/11 - $22WR - Josh Gordon - CLE/13 - $13WR - Marvin Jones - DET/10 - $12WR - Kenny Stills - MIA/8 - $4

Normally, I take one studish WR and spend the rest on swing for the fences type players.  I went stud heavy at WR this year with Jones and Stills rounding out the bottom at great values.

TE - Zach Miller - CHI/9 - $8TE - Clive Walford - OAK/10 - $6TE - Tyler Higbee - LA/8 - $5TE - Hunter Henry - SD/11 - $4TE - Jesse James - PIT/8 - $2

I usually try to grab a stud here also.  This year I decided to go value and quantity over quality.

PK - Matt Prater - DET/10 - $3PK - Nick Folk - NYJ/11 - $2

TD - Kansas City Chiefs - KC/5 - $6TD - Houston Texans - HOU/9 - $5

Risky with only 2 kickers and 2 defenses.  I love the picks at D, going with 2 solid D's at great value. Kicker was strictly low cost and I made a last minute move to get Stills in the lineup and ditched a third K..
And..... Just like that, I am out week 1!   :(   I had really high hopes for this team. Thanks for nothing AP and Marshall

ETA: Missed by 3.9 pts

im seeing alot of players who got burned by taking chances on hurt or suspended players even with the low cutline percentage. i think as this contest grows in popularity no week should be taken for granted in roster preporation

Is there a way to see ownership % of teams eliminated in week 1?
I'd guess quite a few had Gurley or Peterson on their team

Made it by 7 but Tyrod Taylor is my only QB until Brady comes back, sigh.

I have Leveon Bell and Josh Gordon also so if I can make it to week 5 I could actually do something.

I'm pretty happy to be one of less than half (14/30) of the surviving teams with Brady, Gronk and Marshall.  One of only 7 (out of 9 originally) with those 3 and Gordon.

Seems like a more spread out distribution of rooster sizes than in previous years.

Yep! I took out Keenan and replaced him with Evans.
This was actually one of several roster adjustments i made before the lock....dropped Allen, melvin and josh gordon and bennett in favor of evans, marvin jones, cook and RB depth.  Regretting drinking the Cook koolaid thus far...it must have been a GB ploy to motivate Jermichael Finley.

I ranted on the Cook-love somewhere else about 2 weeks ago.  I never got it this year.  We have 7 years of data that suggests that (a) Cook can't/won't run route well, (b) can't/won't catch a cold, (c) can't/won't go up and get 50/50 balls despite being a physical freak, and (d) has an inflated sense of his NFL worth (recall that he demanded that the Titans franchise him as a WR -- they wouldn't even franchise him as a TE, and that was under a regime that typically took every opportunity to make bad decisions).  He LOOKS like he should be awesome.  About once every 2 years he IS awesome.  But 31/32nds of the time he is anything but awesome.  This was like his 4th "this is the year" year.  I bought in on the first 2, but never again.
