How would you guys rank the rookies in terms of highest ceiling?  I am curious who could be the All Stars in this group.  (Fultz, Ball, Jackson, Tatum, Fox and anyone else I am missing)
Everyone is sleeping on Dennis Smith Jr. and his league record 48 inch vertical. IMO his ceiling is the highest in the draft.

I'm coming around on Markkanen too. Even if he's soft, I have trouble seeing how a 7 foot 20 year old who is already an elite shooter isn't a useful player in the league.

Why would you think he is a "headcase"?
"Smith's ability to help a NBA team win games, and the affect he might have on an organization's culture, are issues that will he will continue to plague him until he can prove otherwise, and will likely drag his stock down a bit relative to some of his peers over the course of the draft process." Source: http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Dennis-Smith-76448/ ©DraftExpress

This letter by Lonzo is pretty dang good.

To the Loudest Guy in the Gym
"When I was in middle school, I started dreaming of one day making it to the NBA. I wanted to be a point guard, just like Magic Johnson."

(I.e. Please, please, please take me at #2 Magic, because I've always wanted to be just like you and if I fall past 2 the whole world is going to be laughing at my dad and me.)

Man I hope he's available for the Magic.  Never know, could be Westbrook with his athleticism.  At least they fired the GM, he was terrible.  A roster full of nothing, and one of the top 10 most expensive in the league (9th).

Terrible, terrible work by Rob Henigan.  Hope these Bucks rejects can make some better picks.

I read that draft profile and don't agree with it. He got no coaching and played well through a dumpster fire season (head coach fired mid season).

The Sixers/Celts swap is heating up big time locally...sounds like this maybe more than a rumor...this deal could make a ton of sense for both teams...Fultz plays a position the Sixers dearly need and they have so much youth and draft assets that it makes sense for them to target him if they think he is the real deal...if you're the Celts and you're not 100% sold on him or simply think someone like Jackson-Tatum-Isaac-Fox is better then you probably get that player while adding a big time draft pick to go with the Nets pick next year...that gives you a chance to have two more top 10 picks next year or turn around and make a deal for another big time veteran player...

Possibly one of their picks next year, their own, unprotected Lakers pick or maybe Sac pick in 2019.
hopefully their own, Lakers would be ok, Sac really hope not.

Nonetheless, I definitely credit Colangelo for trying to do this, even though I am not 100% clear how Fultz and Simmons work together. Though I guess Fultz seems ok off the ball.

I bet Ainge is pleasuring himself right now to the thought of getting the Lakers' pick.
He would then have the Nets pick, the Lakers pick and their own pick next year...I think pleasuring himself is definitely a possibility with that scenario...

Fultz is awesome off the ball and the shooter the sixers desperately need

1.01 very close to being moved to philly
They've been hinting at it even before the lottery. Sixers are done collecting future picks and Fultz fits them perfectly. For Boston they could go Jackson or Fox at 3 and still get the guy they wanted plus probably Lakers pick next year and more.

I think this is a great deal for both teams...makes sense for both sides...

Would keep both teams at the top of the conference for the next 5-8 years barring injury.  A renewed Sixers Celtics rivalry would be good for the league.

My prediction, if the trade goes down for 1.01, Boston takes Issac, not Jackson. Brown is the future at 3, they need a 4.

He is a decent shooter, but his FT rate is low and he is not like a lights-out guy from the outside.  Not against him, just still a lot of uncertainty of exactly how Simmons is going to be used I think.

It is a forgotten rivalry...in the early 80's they had some legit heavyweight match-ups as Philly was right there with the Celts and Lakers at that point...a ton of fantastic games with some all time great players playing...

Isaac has been my sleeper all along (although I have never thought they would use the #1 on him)...if they believe in him he brings something they don't have but very much need...on paper this kid maybe a perfect fit for today's NBA...would be such an Ainge move as well...

Here's some fuel for the fire, boys & girls - there's talk that the tradedown is all about Trader Danny wanting to duplicate the KG move which won him his last championship by accumulating enough assets to...............wait for it...............tweeze The Brow away from the Bayou.

That's my thought. Not that player necessarily but he wants lots of ones to Make a deal to get a proven Star.

Agreed...it just makes too much sense...and if he has both the Nets and Lakers pick next year he is dealing from a ton of strength...those picks will get anyone's attention...

Still wouldn't trade Fultz for anything, guys.
Of course not he is the best prospect ever, better than Butler, George, hell even Cleveland would have to send a future 1st with LeBron to get the first pick this year, just ask any Celtic fan.

I have and I have never heard that...he's a legit #1 pick but no one is putting him anywhere near a LeBron...

There is a basketball forum. They created it for this ####. Go there.
This one thread among 10,000+ in this forum grinds your gears. Kooky. Sorry we bumped the Laura Lynny's best role thread back to page 2.
